Joel's video on surviving duck season was awesome on slo mo shot string, well worth watching

I agree 100% on the mud and muck, Hunter! Every slough and creek I ever hunted had at least 18 inches of soft, boot-sucking clay and debris on the bottom. Every step released a blue-grey boil of sulfurous gumbo mud into the water. 🤮

I’m glad I’m not the only one out here with this experience

Avid Waterfowler just informed his viewers that Browning is going to discontinue the 10ga for 2024 and they don’t know if they will ever resume production. Very sad to see one of the top waterfowl gauges disappear.

Using bismuth may indicate there is something lacking in the 12ga shells. Step up a few pellet sizes and use a 10ga with a greater pellet count. People claim the 10ga patterns better and recoil is more of a push than a kick. Avid Waterfowler has a video about why he likes a 10ga better. That being said, I still need to find a 10ga to try out. Worth watching why the 10ga is a great shotgun.

Bismuth solves a different problem than 10ga. The problem bismuth solves is that steel shot is hard and therefore does not deform and exert its energy on the bird. So I don’t view that as a chink in the armor for 12ga. Although there is some argument for 10ga patterning better because of the “square” load but we are talking about a difference that may not even be measured at this point because of the advancement in wads and backboring of barrels. I do enjoy shooting 10ga but it’s only on rare occasions. I find them to be too “slow” to swing on birds. Also my personal favorite 10 is a Remington SP-10

Awesome. I would like to buy a ten and load for it. Yeah bismuth does work for older guns. Although it costs more than just loading BB in a ten gauge with more pellets. That being said Browning isn’t going to produce more ten gauges for 2024.

Nobody ever answers decoy questions they just say it’s depends… just say what you think some won’t agree but it would be nice to get a honest opinion rather than a non answer
