    the main cause of the problem is tribalism. Hargesia has developed dramatically in last 20 years, but still there are challenges facing those who are not from Hargesia because of tribalism. we hope and pray for all Somalis to unite and understand the benefit of unity.

      @Mekonen S Based on what report? Western papers? Are they to be believed? The same west who oppress and cause wars in nations. Lol all you want. Its typical ignorance. Either way we don't expect much from the likes of you.

    i wonder if somalis would be facing this situation if they just united?, Even in the most peaceful area of somalia hargeisa,somaliland people are fleeing. can you imagine the south.., but i guess colonial borders mean more to us. It's funny because the people who are hyping the clan states are mostly diaspora who would never live here permanently.

      @BBBB-gy8kb Před 7 lety +1

      The accuracy in your comment is legit the realest truth.The somalis in the diaspora are always hyping their state whether it be SOMALILAND or PUNTLAND and they act like as if its dubai or the best place on the earth but they would never live there permanently, they would just visit and their probably that same person whos always in the comment section cussing other states for example those landers that cause somalia, its always diaspora.

    it's really a national disaster as the head teacher mentioned here. those who smuggling are really the middle class people. they mostly get their daily life regulary. i often see people booing the government for this issue, but people should come up with a plan in order to get rid off it. i wonder why the generation in Hargiesa or Somaliland are not proud of their country more than any other ones in Africa?.

      Jon Snow Are you kidding?! Scrabbling around in the dirt for survival under the constant threat of violence, drought, and religious theocracy, or poverty in Greece? Not even a choice that needs a moment's consideration. Talk about a first world assessment of their choice!

    • @matbroomfield
      @matbroomfield Před 9 lety

      Jon Snow I don't know that I agree with that Jon. When you are using "slavery" to refer to wage slavery, or the living conditions of actual slavery are better than the quality of life under "freedom", I think I might opt for slavery. After all, you might argue in one sense that we are all slaves to our system of politics, the financial sector, government and a legal system that we have no say in.

    • @matbroomfield
      @matbroomfield Před 9 lety

      Jon Snow Perhaps you're right. I know that the west has bailed Somalia out on at least one occasion, and they have a massive problem with violence. Doesn't sound like somewhere I'd like to live, but perhaps as you suggest, bad as that is, it's still better than the alternatives.

  • @stevealba4599
    @stevealba4599 Před 9 lety +6

    Let's hope they do stay there, to not only rebuild their own country but Europe really doesnt need or indeed want yet more unskilled and culturally hostile migrants. Ultimately, despite the attempts to lay every wrong in these countries at the door of the 'West' (see below re: oil), the ultimate responsibility for these people's futures are with themselves and their own govts.

      Buddy, I could careless about both of them. The only problem is Somaliland doesn't exist and they claim that they exist. But when things aren't going so good for them they want to be apart of Somalia (I can give you examples if you want). They're a fucking joke tbh.
