THIS EXPEDITION IS REALLY EPIC BRO" ! You have my respect!
Just found it.
What a monster!
One could easily die out there. Truckers would be the only comfort. Injured or in disrepair. A trucker would likely save your life. Regardless, this is amazing.

yes - 2019. I found Iohan about 5 weeks ago. I've watched all 29 episodes. And now I start back to #1 again. His videos only get better as he goes. later on he adds a drone. Truly epic.

Ive been watching stuff like this, and im setting out to walk//cycle across america in a few weeks. Mike Posner is also hosting a big walk across america. Seems this need for freedom/travel is catching on!!!! And videos like this are def inspiring people! New age upon us! Connecting back with nature instead of all this bullcrap destroying us
Dear Iohan, your passing is messing me up more than I think it should, given we never met or talked. I didn't realize how much you impacted me. This was the first film of yours that I saw, and ever since then, you have continued to inspire me, and to keep the stoke alive in between my own adventures. I remember constantly talking about you and exchanging your films with my friend while we planned our own trip. That kind of inspiration is really valuable and makes me want to work harder to share my own adventures with the world, in the hope that I may inspire others. The people you met around the world clearly loved you because of your openness and empathy. Your willingness to continually push the envelope of what was physically possible was astonishing to witness. Your unending love for animals revealed the kindness of your spirit. I feel like the world was robbed when you left so early. But really we are so lucky to have had you in the first place. And your films will go on to inspire countless others. I'm so sorry you had to suffer in life. May you be at peace.
Dang man, that's exactly how I feel. I thought I was ready to restart watching his videos again but it's still too soon. Never thought I could miss someone (that I have never met) so much. He was such an inspiration to all of us. He was such a kind and generous person and his videos spoke to me in ways that I cannot explain. I'm sure there will be a day when I can watch his videos again without feeling sad but that time is not right now.
This is the first ioahan video that I watched many years ago. . what a legend, what a life. Farewell my friend. Artic to Argentina ! You did it.

You lived a life others will only dream of. A true nomad who had a lifes worth of adventure in everyday. 7 years I followed your journey and it will stay with me forever. A real supertramp. I leave this last message where it all began, ride in peace brother may the tailwinds be strong. Love from your Scottish compadre.

RIP, you were a bikepacking legend.
I biked 700 miles across Europe . I plan to bike South America. At 60 years old it was the best experience of my life
legend
Don't get me wrong, but you should be very picky to where do you plan to cycle on South America. Many places are riddled with reckless drivers. Best luck.
I think America is the worse place for cycling. First, they hate cyclists. Two, it’s not simple negligence or reckless driving. They actually aim for cyclists!!
@@Strange_Brew If you check the data, (crashstats.nhtsa.dot.gov/Api/Public/ViewPublication/812507), cycling is in fact way more dangerous than in Europe. However, Brazil alone (www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&pid=S1415-790X2013000400918&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en&ORIGINALLANG=en), even with a smaller population and a smaller number of cyclists, makes America look as safe as it gets (more than 4 times the death toll).
Please take care! I'm from Mexico, I know colombia is really dangerous, also salvador, honduras and even mexico

Can't believe Iohan is no longer with us. Such a positive energy for life. He was special, so special, more than he ever knew. To think he was suffering such torment that he decided to take his own life is so distressing given all that he had achieved and the thousands, millions of people that he had given enjoyment to, helped and inspired through his videos, that there was no one able to help him when he needed it most, to say "It's ok Iohan, we can get through this. Everything will be ok." Maybe there was I don't know, but it is so sad that he decided to check out. We now have his legacy of beautiful films to watch but now tinged with such sadness knowing he is no longer with us. Thank you for so much you brought the world in such a short time. RIP.
