The Defence Season 23/24 Review
I've no problem with Ashley Young. He should have been used less but injuries meant he played more. That should tell us we still need reinforcements. I'd sell Keane and potentially Patterson because I think he's being overlooked by the manager. If he's essentially not in his plans then we need to cash in and bring in new faces.

The problem with Young is that he starts far too often, which isn't a fault of his at all. It weirdly demonstrates the benefit of him as a player in the squad but also the dire state of the club/squad. He's an excellent squad utility player to have but should not be starting games unless we are in an injury crisis.

Lets be fair what does Southgate know. He's a loser from top to bottom and won't win nothing cus he doesn't know how to. Leaves the best player on the bench and brings subs on too late, oh and can't take penalties. We've got the best team ever and he'll still win nothing 😡

Ashley young playing 31 times just shows dyches obsession with him, the majority of them games there was someone better to slot in where he was playing. He was absolutely awful this year and shouldnt be given a contract
