Kathleen Kennedy has been at Lucas film for a while and helped make some great movies like back to the future. However her recent work with the Star Wars sequels has not been well like by a majority of the franchises fans. I also don’t like them personally. Star Wars has released some good new content with tales of the Jedi, Andor, clone wars season 7 imo.
Kathleen Kennedy was the one behind the new Star Wars movies (the ones with Ray) as the new president of Lucas Films after its acquisition by Disney. People are upset and largely hold her responsible for ruining the Star Wars franchise, watering it down and diverting from the source material amongst other things. She was also one of those morons wearing a, "the force is female" shirts....so you already know what she is all about. Rather than making good movies, she seems more interested in identity politics and in pushing her own agenda by shoehorning her politics into the film. Many say she was not even really qualified for the job.
This video would be better if it had a gay diverse woman in it and was more lame

What Stan said about Miles Morales as Spider-Man is how I have always felt as a comic fan. Miles was made at a time when things weren’t so overly woke and he didn’t replace Peter as Spider-Man. Miles is a very good character and can stand on his own without all the woke stuff.
Actually, it's because Miles came from a pre-Gamer Gate time before reactionaries became hyper-conscious about diversity as if writers only just started caring about diversity quotas in the 2010s.
You can go as far back as the original Star Wars trilogy for this bs. There was absolutely dissent about Darth Vader being voiced by a black man, the existence of Lando, and the evil imperials mostly being white men. And before you bring up "woke politics" and that the OT was supposedly "apolitical," George himself confirmed that the rebel alliance was partly inspired by the Vietcong and the empire by the "American empire." (Hence why I roll my eyes whenever reactionary Star Wars fans want to claim that the OT was simply not political. 🙄) This "anti-woke" bs has always been around in some way, shape, or form. It's just better hidden these days because reactionaries can just cower behind the excuse of the recent drop of quality in our media the past decade, which anyone with at least half a brain can tell is because of profits/capitalism, not "wokeness" and an increase in representation 😒

She made the whole thing racial and had no clue as to why he was voiced by James Earl Jones. The actor who played Vader had a nerdy english voice and sounded horrible. They needed someone who sounded bad ass and intimidating and the best voice for that was James. She had no clue about any of that.

Appreciate you keeping it real. I feel you too. Miles Morales is a great example of diversity done right. They didn’t just take Spiderman and make him black. They actually made a whole new character. That’s why the Spider-verse movies and Miles Morales games are doing big numbers. Hollywood is just lazy and wants to get credit for being “diverse” without actually CREATING diverse characters.

The problem isn't that the characters haven't been reengineering right, the problem is that the fans haven't yet had their minds reengineered enough. Maybe the fans would change their minds if they got threatened with jail for not thinking the way they're supposed to think.

The problem is exactly what @decha1981 said. You don't just take an old character that everyone loved, change them to where they're completely unrecognizable, and expect people to be happy. In fact, that's what costs businesses money, because they're alienating their consumer base, which, ironically, is where they made the most money from. You can slowly change them bit by bit to reflect growth, or whether or not they're getting more jaded by each installment, and people may or may not like it, but you can still see the old character we know and love, just older and wiser with experience. It's when it's COMPLETELY out of left field where we as consumers have a problem.
And how do we make our displeasure known? With our wallets. We can just stop buying shit and kick that company in the nuts by taking away their profits. That's what happened with Bud Lite. (And before you come at me, that is a very different but related can of worms that I will NOT discuss about here.)
Indian Jones didn't become a woman, he was replaced by one. She was her own character, and the actual Indie was still there, but she was superior to him in every way, better than he ever was, able to do everything with little to no effort simply because she was awesome and made an utter fool of him while he was a miserable wash-up. Hollywood does this a lot when they do have replacement new characters, they make the original characters incompetent losers while the replacements are made out to be amazing and superior.

Have you also ever considered the fact that maybe the older people did not make them like that they chose to be like that. Put it this way as a parent it is your duty to give your kid who is now a part of the younger generation the tools they need to succeed in the real world. And parents do, do that but it’s a matter of if the kid chooses to lead the way that their parents have paved the way for or not. And a lot of times kids, choose not to lead the way that their parents have paved for them. I don’t believe in this whole scenario of being made I believe in free Will I believe that the way people live their lives, and the way people act are all brought up by their own choices. I mean, you can feed water to a horse, but you can’t force it to drink it. it’s a matter of if the horse wants to drink water or not. Lots of times kids like to act like stubborn, smart asses and not do what their parents say. I mean, I can see in that perspective that I just explained on why older people complain about the younger generation. Because lots of times, young kids of today’s young generation choose to be what they are. It’s not always them being the ones who made them what they are. I don’t believe in that shit. Because I believe that, it’s just an excuse to justify one’s bad behavior. It would be like me going to the grocery store as a kid and stealing a chocolate bar and literally breaking the law and all of a sudden trying to get myself off by saying that I was made this way when really I chose to be this way I chose to be a thief. The reason why the woman kids look like "adults" is because in modern tv shows with schools the actors and actresses playing as kids are in their 20s or 30s, so they don't look the actual age of kids in high school.

The problem is that when Disney tries to do something new and original, they fill it with so much diversity (to please progressive people) that everything goes wrong, because they are more focused on making the characters diverse so that everyone likes, that they forget to develop a good story. Plus we all know that when Disney introduces LGBT characters, of different races, ethnicities and nationalities, it only does so so that its films-series are seen by more people and make more money, not because they really care about diversity or inclusion.

Allegedly, the original script to the fifth movie was going to have time travel shenanigans where a younger version of Indie got killed. This naturally causes the present version to fade away. Phoebe Waller-Bridge would then seek to "carry on his legacy" by slipping into his life and effectively replace him in the timeline before any of the other movie happened.
This is all based on rumors and hearsay, but dammit if you can't see the seam in the final release!

That's the biggest problem I have with Disney. I don't know the black girls name who played Ariel but she ain't Ariel and should have never played that role. Ariel is a white girl with red hair.... not a black girl with braids🤷 Yes... she can play the role of a little mermaid.. But she should be a new mermaid with a new name. A new original story.

The thing is Phil and Lil’s mom in the original Rugrats and All Grown Up is heavily implied to be a lesbian. It’s not a case of her being straight and the shows creators turning her lesbian. She was that from the very beginning, and the episodes she’s in it’s very obvious. Howard was implied to be gay from the beginning, there’s a joke that Stu makes when he’s asked about Howard’s whereabouts, and it’s a finger from one hand going through a hole made with the 2 fingers from another hand.
Like I said before in the Rugrats case they’re not focusing on pandering to a specific group of people, they left the clues for the fans to pick up and connect the dots for ourselves

If my sink is broken I call a plumber, but if anything electrical or electronic brake, I fix it. I am studying to be a hardware engineer. AI won't be able to replace most manual jobs and most engineering jobs.

Those guys you listed you'd need to build town are the people who we need first and foremost in every day society as well. If those people were gone just like that we'd be fucked in less than a month. If a news anchor or lawyers were gone we'd be completely fine. I don't understand why people look at labor jobs as shit when in reality they pay pretty damn well and these guys are essential, without them absolutely nothing happens and every thing grinds to a halt.
There used to be dozens of guys like that in every town in America. Many went no further than the 4th grade and just went to trade school instead of HS, then the Army, then back home to ply some trade, then evolved into handymen since that paid the most.
Where'd they all go? They died off, and their sons got passed through public school, eventually to HS, then college, where they studied some BS like Art History. or Gender Studies. Now they're struggling to get jobs and wonder why theres no handymen.
Or you could be like my stepdad and not fix the oven door, and when u open the door you have to balance it on your knee as you get the food in or out, being careful not to burn yourself or dump the food or have the hot door fall on you, still to this day when ever i open an oven i still hold the door with my knee

While raceswapping isn't new, there have been a push of it that I often find annoying as of late. It depends on how it's done though. Recent examples of it done right was The Last of Us series. In the game, the protagonist and his family were white but mostly latino in the series. They all did a good job and it worked in the setting.
Modern Disney is everything wrong about it. It's so shoehorned and in-your face that it's becoming cringy. For example, Nico Parked (black biracial) that played the daughter in the Last of Us (and did a good job), is supposed to play a character for the live-action version of How to Train Your Dragon... that takes place in the viking era.
Latino is technically White now, just non Hispanic white.
That's because it was done out of practicality. Pedro makes a good Joel, but Pedro isn't white so they had to change it, but it doesn't matter because his ethnicity isn't the plot.
With mermaid for example, it wasn't practical or for creativity. And the race swap was the plot and was the whole reason for making the film.

She was also the same person who pushed the script for thefemale led ghostbusters film that flopped. K.K has been at the bottom of lots of the pandering at Disney since 2012 including little mermaid and several others. You weren't far off, she has been really bad for Disney, shes been the biggest reasons that several of the better directors, screen writers and executives have bolted from their studios and moved to Netflix, Hulu or HBO studios instead.
I liked the Female Cartmans VA, she really felt like a female version of Cartman compared to the rest of the alternate cast.
