I agree Meg, Black Krrsantan should be in the film. It’d be fantastic to see him cracking storm trooper helmets. I’m one of the few who enjoyed Book of Boba, having him in the series was such a treat.
The idea of "Mando & Grogu" arriving early is a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. As for me, I didn't have any issue with the direction Mando took in Season 3. I liked learning more about the disparate factions and beliefs of the Mandalorian people. Plus, Katee Sackhoff was awesome! I was actually disappointed people complained so much about it. However, it will be nice to get back to the basics, I will also say I can see their point there - but having Mando forever isolated would have been a bad mistake.
So, tomorrow is the end of The Bad Batch 😭, and the Blu-Ray release for "Obi-Wan Kenobi" and "Andor" 😃! Plus "Tales of the Empire" on Saturday, along with the theatrical return to theaters of the Skywalker Saga, and something unofficial that I'm really looking forward to seeing is the supercut edit by Jedi's Knowledge of "Star Wars - Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" which is a total chronologically based edit of Ep3 with the last 4 episodes of "The Clone Wars", the pilot of "The Bad Batch," and now being updated to include footage from "Tales of the Jedi", "Obi-Wan Kenobi", "The Mandalorian", and "Jedi: Fallen Order". Turns it into an over five-hour movie! May the Fourth is going to rock!

This is the way! I’m really excited for this movie and agree witth everything you said. I’m one of the people who really emnjoyed the focus on Bo Katan in s3, but even I’m thrilled at the idea of getting more development of Din and Grogu’s relationship and seeing them going on adventures again. I also hope we get more of Grogu’s back story. I’d also love to see Boba and Fenneck again, but what I really want is to see what’s going on on Mandalore. What kinds of challenges are Ho amd the Mandos facing? What kind of ship is she running? How aware are they of the imperial threat and what if anything are they doing about it? And are she and Din in contact? He’d be a good source of intel and they had great chemistry in s3 so I hope they are. They could also tie Mandalore into the new republic plot. Like maybe there are scenes with people like Mon Mothma where they mention things going on there like in Ahsoka.

I'm going in without expectations. It'll either be good or it won't. I'm just looking forward to seeing it.
So much to look forward to. Tomorrow the bittersweet goodbye to The Bad Batch, on Saturday the exciting start of Tales of the Empire, and knowing the filming of the Mandu & Grogu movie will start earlier is a good sign. This signals to me that Jon Favreau has a clear vision where to go with this movie. I’m psyched for all of it.

Definitely hopeful. In my opinion, or from my certain point of view, Jon Favreau has not delivered a full miss yet. Iron Man 2 may have come dangerously close, but it was still very entertaining regardless. And I'm always excited for Star Wars on the big screen.
Tomorow its that time that whe star wars bad batch fans wil sadly see the end of a awesome series .when i saw them in the animated clone wars i could not have seen then how the series would turn out to be.But what a ride it has been and i have no doubt the end will make us smile and cry at the same time.Whe all have questions that need to answered and that wil happen tomorrow. The clock is now ticking away and with every minute or hour its dos i get more and more enthusiastic.I said it before and say it again,this year is a heavenly year for star wars fans like me .With the tales of the empire at the end of the week coming and the acolyte and hopefully tales of the jedi second season this year is truly the best.I dont know if i will be sleeping wel tonight but when its time to watch i lock myself from the world for the whole last episode of the bad batch.May the force be with you all and enjoy the last episode of the last season of the bad batch.

I think the Favreau movie can be great Favreau is s good filmmaker and writer/director. He gave us the mandalorian and had a lot planned for that. So if this movie is something he has planned or if he is picking up bits and pieces from what he had planned befor KK broke the mandowerse.
Woukd be great if somehow Gina could come back We will hopefully see Luke again maybe Leia and Han as well. Jon did mention that in the early days of Mando.

I've recently finished watching Tales of the Jedi and despite being very short in length, a format I'm not very fond of, I really liked it. Definitely looking forward to Tales of the Empire, that one is gonna be interesting.

Personally I enjoyed season 3 of Mando. I understand that ac lot of non star wars fans tune in for the cute "baby Yoda". Going back to focus on them is key, but this film is also can be as risky as the Rey film if Gorgu isn't front and center.
I agree! My criticisms would be that insertion of Lizzo and Jack Black was weird, and I think Grogu’s role returning to Mando seemed more marketing driven than story driven. The common criticism others have given was about Bo Katan leading the Mandalorians - I liked this part! and it was in line with Rebels

The hidden path and the surviving jedi would be a good story for this time period if they do it right.The Hidden path that leads to lead maybe to a secret order of survivors who continue the way of the jedi,Sort of like an assassins' creed like group that secretly fights the Empire and the Inquisitors. The hunt for Zinj would be a good tie in to the Mandalorian.

I'm 53 and I found living near the mountains in a rural area was by far better for my health. Fresh air and trying to stay active I hope I live longer lol

Currently I'm not sure what to expect for the mandalorian and grogu movie. Having said that, I am a big star wars fan and am looking forward to all upcoming star wars main films and side stories doesn't even matter if it's live action or animated, feature length or series. I kinda feel like I can't wait to see what Lucasfilms has instore for all us star wars fans. "This is the way." and "May the force be with you. " 😄
I hope it does well but i think a lot of people won't go see it because of the "All roads lead to the sequel's". I just wish they would jump to an explored area of the timeline where you don't know for sure how things are going to end. While i am not a fan of the sequels past The Force Awakens i am more looking forward to the Rey movie than i am to the mando and grogu just because its not wedged in between other movies or shows.
Personally i think all Disney Plus Star Wars shows should run 3 seasons and wrap up. At least the live action shows. Trilogy format like the live action movies.

I only wish they made Thrawn seem like a bigger threat. I know a lot of people know his motivations because of Star Wars rebels, or other media but for those that don’t know I have a feeling they’re going to be very lost.
Don't get why u have an issue with mando 3 u loved it at the time . Its easily as hood as 1 and 2 for me .

According to Bob Igar, they have Pedro. But it was not clarified if it was just his voice or both his voice and physical person. The time line for filming on the Mandalorian movie and Fantastic 4 have changed enough that it could be both. The Mandalorian and Grogu movie starts filming sometime in May. The Fantastic 4 starts production somewhere about August, last I heard.
They better not wait too long...Grogu may age out of the role!
Oof I hope Mando can bring it back. I still think Grogu should’ve been training with Luke and let Mando have his own season on his own. S3 and BoBF messed that opportunity up and I think S3 suffered from it. I’m sure the movie if done correctly can bring the hype back with a single trailer
Is it only me that thinks the way the title is presented make it kind of/ almost looks like it reads "The Mandalorian Grogu ' as. In him being the Mando leader ( that's probably me reading too much into it or projecting my wishes into it ) as for the film I would like Grogu to have advanced in skills/ the force and have more of a vocal ability. / Communication skills if not yet fully formed all while not loosing his cuteness... which may be a big ask for the creatives along with other Caminos and tiring all the loose ends together

Meg just my thoughts but i don't think that they should have made a movie, the weekly series is what made this show special and a 2 hour movie is not the same at all. I feel this is not the way. I hope i am wrong.

The way disney has been bombing lately I'm not holding my breath for much.
Meg, you do a great job in reporting SW news to us, but I have to be honest - Disney's track record handling the SW brand (not to mention all their other brands) is depressing. The fact that they are rushing a Mando/Grogu movie into the works in an effort to try to get a quick win in the cinemas makes me fear for the Mando lore. I've lost hope and interest in all things SW. But that's me, keep up the good work and positive attitude.
They're going in too many different directions. The Mandalorian was a very watched show... to have nothing for YEARS, pinning all hope on the movie being a huge hit. What if it flops? What if after nothing for years, people lose interest? There should have been a season 4 while making the movie.
Help Meg!!!!!!! Will Star Wars die as a result of all these horrid delays??????? The Bad Batch showed us the central themes that make it wonderful. The Mandolorian did too. Asoka too. And others. But why are they killing our love and interest by these horrid delays! As a lover of all things Star Wars I’m close to quitting.

I only have issue with the title. It's rather cartooney. I hate it when they spoon-feed to the fanbase what it's about. It's not like we're idiots, we can figure out a clever title, not 500% spelled out.
Oh, I hated the direction season 3 went with the Mandalorian. Especially, seeing to much Bo-Katan. She should have gotten her own show. It was like a take over. For me, a very disappointing season, the worst. 🤮

No, I've lost all faith in Disney/Lucasfilm. They are going to really surprised when Mando and Grogu doesn't make any money as well. Season 3 was enough of a disappointment to the majority audience that most people have lost interest
