I loved this, I really did. And after the awesome final season of Bad Batch, it puts Star Wars on a strong footing again for me after what I thought was a very mediocre run with Fett, Kenobi, Ashoka and Mando's latest season. Tales of the Empire was so much better than all of that.

Honestly, I’m shock but mostly am underwhelm that Barriss was brought back 11 years later after we last saw her in Season 5 only to be killed off. I personally would’ve preferred if she soon defected the Inquisitors and then met Ahsoka years later that would’ve tied to a potential second season of _Ahsoka._ Still very salty with Barriss being killed off immediately.😕😭

In legends the reason for the empire rejecting Starfighters like the Tie Defender was that they had hyperdrives which the officer corp thought would reduce the need for ISD's and other large ships which was thought to be a more prestigious postings

@leaprincexleia4172 I can't find the video but it was said 6 years. Kinda disappointing that it wasn't longer. I'd hope she would also be legit older than mid 20's and also if she did die it was still young then. Hopefully it's explained at some point. I'd hope it to be closer to the 20 year range but it's likely no more than 10.
apparently her looking older was from all of the force healing she did that caused her to age faster.

I didn’t know she was involved with the new republic at this time. Wasn’r she busy collecting her fleet? I just assumed she contacted Ahsoka directly. But if she did connect with Herra at some point after Rebels s4 while she was Mandalore it makes sense she would contact her. And yeah Grievus was freaking terrifying.

It was very well done and I look forward to them filling in more stories in this fashion. If they don’t make a Season 2 of Kenobi, this would be a great way to fill in pieces of the story.
Barriss’s 3 tales were great overall. Morgan’s weren’t as good and they honestly made me hate the character even more - so I guess they did a good job?! Still, her inflicting pain on innocent, (initially) supportive subjects to get revenge on others makes little sense to me. Essentially, I feel like she learned nothing from the death of her people and early mistakes - and never actually grows anything but more evil rather than more interesting.

IMHO the best parts were Morgan's story while Barriss started off well but fell off. To me, it shouldve been Vader who couldve come for Barriss, just to bring her to full circle. Anakin imprisoned her when she is at her lowest, Vader freed her when she is at her best to make her entire story arc poetic.
Im kinda sad they didnt bring Eli Vanto as either a cameo or a mention, considering he is Thrawn's homie and who he trusted most. But glad they brought in Capt Paelleon and Agent Rukh. I dont think that was Dathomir at the beginning of Morgan's backstory but rather one of the planets nearby Dathomir

We learn in Tales of the Empire: the Path of Anger, that Bo Katana is a Fulcrum agent working with Ahsoka Tano and Bale Organa. It was Bo who notified Ahsoka of a problem on Corgis.
In The Path of Hate, we learn that Bariss Offee did become an Inquisitor, but in meeting Darth Vader, her Jedi senses were not attuned enough to know that Lord Vader is Anakin Skywalker.
In Realization, Bariss comes to realize the hypocrisy of the Empire. The Empire promises Order and Security, but demands Servitude and Blind Obedience. Independent thought, decisions, and actions are seen as seditious and therefore a threat to be irradiated. The empire only takes prisoners if they could be of a benefit; a bargaining chip.
In The Way Out, Bariss meets up again with her inquisitorus master, who is hunting down a Force Sensitive child. Bariss shows her old comrade, that her Force abilities have advanced over the years.
*Bariss does not wield a lightsaber anymore.*
While chasing after the child's family through a cave, the Inquisitor undergoes the Final Test all Jedi must face: Themselves. Alas, the Inquisitor gets lost and cannot find her way. This is because she is trying to force her way. But only becomes lost, uncertain, and full of fear. In her fear, she lashes out, eventually injuring Bariss. But Bariss gives her former master a final lesson; The way out was always right in front of her eyes; if she only stop, took a moment, to look at what was around her.

Meg, who do you think Barris called her “friend” and gave the parents the comms link to talk to?
I really hope her and Ahsoka reconsiled and that it was her. If it was I bet they bring Barris and the 4th sister into season 2 of Ahsoka to rescue her from the unknown regions! 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾

I'm really confused about what Morgan Elsbeth wants to take revenge upon. Grevious is dead, Dooku who ordered the destruction of the Night Sisters is dead, Dooku's boss is dead. The Separatists are no more. She can't logically blame The Republic because it was a droid army that attacked Dathomir. She's supposed to be a "genius", yet she can't seem to tie the Empire to Palpatine, Dooku, and the Separatists?

The fact that Thrawn didn’t design the Defender is something I didn’t really enjoy very much. Secondly in Thrawn: Treason, we see Thrawn meet Pellaeon for the first time which time wise isn’t too far from the series finale of Rebels. These retcons are getting harder and harder to keep up with.

They could have kept the stories featuring Morgan Elsbeth. Most of what was presented, we already know. Bariss Offee was the feature that we all wanted. And my favorite part of it is that it didn't break the canon of the Mortis episodes. [That's for all the people who actually understood it.]

I really liked tales of the empire but it didn’t really seem to be much about the empire it was half about Morgan elsbeth and the other half about barris, but I liked it, not so much the ending though

I have to wait for New animated Cody spin-off series trailer coming to Star Wars Celebration 2025, I hope this show take place years after The Bad Batch finale or maybe take place in original trilogy after Rebels ended, it might remember that Omega grow up with Hunter where she going work with the Rebellion, hopefully Cody will be same as Hunter, May the Force be with you.

While I would like to see Bariss survive, this would be yet another point in the 'Light Sabers are as deadly as Butter Knives" debate (if only she could have been one of the First to survive such, I wouldn't have a problem with it).
If we get a story where she meets Ahsoka in some future episode of that show, I'll just ignore it like I have Maul's impossible survival 😅
