Thanks for this, looking forward to a video of programming GM in particular. Gonna be trying to program a used ecm into 2013 GMC Sierra 2500HD with a dirtymax in it, early next month.

I have a 2012 CTS-V that seems to need a new Electronic Suspension Control module. Dealer checked it out and that was the diagnosis. The module is easy access so I'd like to do it myself. I found one on ebay and hoping it's a good module. Seems to require programming so your video is helpful - thank you. You mentioned you do programming for like 50-75 $$. What City are you in?
I am in Springfield Ohio. I charge $125 now, GM has raised there prices for access to SPS. Once I buy your VIN I have it for 2 years, so any more programming in that time would only be $75.
I thought of a different question. After researching the software portion, it seems that the MDI 2 requires Windows 7 only, but, the GM software from GM Tech website requires Windows 10. How did you connect those two together and resolve that compatibility issue? Thanks
The Pirated Tech 2 Win and GDS only runs on Windows 7 (Not really it will run on windows 10), but the SPS that you download from GM requires Windows 10. I used a virtual machine to Run the Tech 2 Win and GDS. The GM software will update the firmware and drivers on you MDI so you must download the Bosch Driver and install it were you are going to Tech2Win and GDS because the MDI driver has to match the Firmware.
Not sure if you have experience in programming new key fobs to vehicles, but if you do, can you recommend a good path. Maybe VCX Nano + a subscription to SPS2 ? The vehicle is a 2024 GMC 3500. I want to add an additional key fob. If it matters, this truck is a 2023 refresh and is push-to-start. Thanks !!
I don't know I have not programmed one for anything that new. I believe that they changed the keys and frequencies in 2020. I just work on older cars. Keys are normally programmed with GDS not SPS. The software that comes with a pirate tool will only go through about 2017 or sometimes 2019.
I got a Saab 93 06 trying to reprogram light for led and to maybe program a secound key and Im clueless I can’t find much on it compared to my Mitsubishi eclipse any help would be Allsome

Thank you for being so descriptive. It is tough to find videos where people take the time to explain and know what they are doing. Can you program a 2008 GMC Yukon Inverter module using this software? I am looking at a hybrid Yukon with a bad inverter module.
I have never programmed one, but this can program any module on a GM so I would say yes.

I responded to you email. I haven't programmed as much Ford stuff as GM, but have have done some.
I could never figure out tech2 on a vm with win7. Gds2 worked no issue. On win10 tech2 out if the vm finds the MDI no issue.
Yeah I run Win 10 for programming, and win 7 for tech 2 win.
I own a 2008 Saab 9-3. Would like to try Vcx nano for programming or just to access tech2. . What software and windows platform is needed? I saw the pine hollow vid but details are missing. Many thanx for a reply.
Yeah the VCX Nano will come with a CD with the software to load on a copy of Tech 2. Then when you have that you will have to install the Global TIS and watch the video on how to install it and get it activated. Will a windows 11 laptop work? Any recommended virtual machine software that you recommend. Thank you again for the prompt detailed reply. I have tech2 win and global tis on my laptop but can’t get past the activation. Will Vcx solve this?

@@130bowman I don't know if it will work on windows 11. You can download VMWare Player. It if free. Install it then make a new virtural machine for Windows 7 and install it. If you need an install for windows 7 email me at tom@frugalprepper.rocks and I can hook you up. The VCX comes with an activation free copy of GDS and Tech2Win, but I would install them in a virtual. A lot of the cracks they use may come with a virus, so I wouldn't install them on your main desktop.
I emailed VX asking if it would work with my 06 Saab 9-3 aero they said they don't have a device or software to support 2006 SAAB. Will it work without being supported? Thanks
How is it possible that the vxdiag works with saab ? I got one of them no matter what i do its doesn't work (think saab is not compatible with J2534 protocol)..
SAABS program with Tech2Win, and the VXDiag runs tech2win.
@@frugalprepperthank you the reaction, Yes it does run Tech2win, but there's no communicating between it and the Bus .. maybe it only works with 9-3ss and dame Edna 9-5 and up but not on a Og 9-3 and 9-5 3.0 Tid..
Vxdiag wont work with saab, they have an issue with the communication speed on DLC pin 1. Same issue affects holden
Vxdiag vcx nanoworks for sps programming a saab 9.3 z18xe motor, 2004my? I have tech2win modded for the speed canbus. I alsohave globaltis. Also what can I buy for programming? Mdi clone? Tech 2 clone is the pricier.
I am thinking of getting vcx nano but i don t understand why you only program with mdi2. The vcx nano is a weaker device compared with mdi2 ?
The VCX nano used some Chinese software to emulate the MDI2, you will constantly fight with it emulating the MDI2 with the correct update firmware for programming. The GM software has to run all of its updates and they have to be working to do any programming every time. If it messes up you brick your module. The clone MDI2 is a MDI2, no special software to drivers, I just programs and loads the updated firmware.
Any idea why on the ACDelco TDS Subscriptions website there's no longer option to purchase VIN Subscription (SPS2 Programming)? Also will this SPS2 programming work with VX Diag Nano, or no? Thanks!
I still buy them on acdelcotds.com SPS2 should with VXDiag, it says it will, but I have never used it.
Hey, do you know if I can remove the LED flickering by removing the check? I want to convert my headlights to LED and the license plate and reverse lights and I only know that it can be done with a device called maptuner, thanks for your tutorial !!!
I don't know about LED bulbs. I never use them.
Debating getting the nano. I need to reprogram my TCCM on my 2008 Silverado 1500. You’re saying the nano sucks with GM now?
I have never programmed regular GM with the nano. I used a MDI Clone JBox.
I have 2006 Trailblazer SS and I just got a chinese MDI to inspect and repair the HVAC module and vent actuators. Are you saying I cannot use it to program and do diagnostics anymore? Sorry if this has been answered in your video, but I got kind of lost.
Yes, you can run Tech2win to diagnose it. If you need to program it you will run SPS2 though. Then you will have to update the drivers where you run your pirate tech2win.
@@frugalprepperusing my vxc nano gm. I can get all the way to the programming but it will not communicate with my truck for some reason and will fail the programming. It will communicate with the truck all the way up until it is time to upload the programming into my truck. It is a class 2 truck as it is an 04 silverado
I just ordered a new 6T70/6T75/6T80 TCM Transmission Control Module for my 2007 Saturn that has the 6T75 trans What all do I need to get in order to program it? Is there a cost for software or do I just pay for vin model? Tks for all the info!
I don't believe that is programmed via GM SPS. I believe you will have to load up Global TIS and Tech2Win. I have not programmed that year or a TCM for a Saab, only the Engine Computers so I am not 100% sure though. The software in no longer available from GM so you have to load up a pirated version of it. And you will have to register for an account a AC Delco TDS to download the SPS software and use the tool to program with. You have to buy the VIN number you want to program.

No I haven't done any on a 2014 or newer. They are pretty simple. I would search Eric O's channel, or Pine Hollow's channel for videos. I will film one next time I do, but I have stopped working on cars now until I recover from my stroke.
