True.., they invested so much money in LeBron, that they have to push the narrative out cause they would kot make the profits they expected, remember Nike's billboard "We are all witness" ? They did that cause new basketball fans that witness Jordan's last part of his glory were desperate to have their own version of greatness, no one was around, Kobe was just being accused with that legal issue so they could not use him, so they put all their eggs in one basket and chose LeBron..., but when they saw thay he was just a dissapointment, they had to push narratives cause his accomplishments were not enough..., meanwhile, the next best thing has been around for a couple of years, but they are doing their best to hide it cause is not what they call super athlete and is not american.

Destroys the "Super Athlete" era, because team sports never *has* been, and never *will* be about how athletic a player is.
Skill and game smarts trumps raw athleticism every day of the week.
Jokic is just another example of that...
The fact that the American media has managed to sell their public the idea that you have to be athletically gifted to not only compete on the highest level, but absolutely dominate, is baffling to me to me as a European.
Growing up playing sports for us was never about how fast a dude could run - it was about how technical & skilful he was.
How athletic a guy was wasn't even so much as a thought to gauge how good a player was...

Kobe was actually in his prime when he got swept with that team. LeBron wasn't in his prime last year or even this yr

1991 Bulls won the title with only Jordan making the All Star game. Pippen didn't make it in 1991, and was only an injury replacement in 1990.

In 1991 MJ one upped what Olajuwon did in 1994 by winning the championship with no other current all star teammates but one that only had one previous all star selection. He was the scoring champion that season and Pippen was only a 1990 All Star at that point.

It’s mind boggling to me that the so-called “experts” posing as pretend journalists hate Nikola Jokic so much that it clouds their judgement in assessing his game. Their unwarranted hate is prohibiting them from not only doing their jobs (jobs that pay them millions of dollars) to the best of their ability, it’s robbing them from taking advantage of their front row seat in witnessing one of the most unique athletes in the history of major professional sports. Like you mentioned in this video, Skap, Jokic has revolutionized the center position. We are witnessing greatness on a level that has never seen before at the center position. He is truly a once in a generation talent, and I’m grateful that I get to watch this guy play. As fans of the game of basketball, we should all appreciate and celebrate his talent. He won’t be around forever, and once he’s gone, that’s it. We may never see another player like him again in our lifetime

As much as I love my Joker, you gotta give a lot of credit to his squad. It's honestly a crime that Murray hasn't made an All-Star Team yet, and Aaron Gordon & Michael Porter Jr. are worth their weight in gold when it comes to clutch plays.

Jokic IS athletic, and I would die on this hill. He has the most active motor than any center in the league, fast as hell in a straight line, strong enough to push around just about anyone, has the stamina of a (heh) horse, and he has the best hand-eye coordination possibly ever in the NBA. Yeah, his vertical isn't great, and he isn't very agile, but there are more facets of athleticism that we constantly fail to consider.

Denver is showing the league how the game is played. They're balanced and all in. Everyone plays defense and all are committed to the team concept. The NBA hasn't seen this in a while and it's definitely a nice change compared to the selfish showboating that is killing the league.
