The phone so far works fine for my everyday use. No regret upon purchasing the device. Moving from Huawei nova 5t to A53 5g is a good decision. The battery is a plus factor anyway even if many says this phone is a downgrade of a52.
I was coming from an iPhone XR that was getting maybe 5 hours screen on time. I've been so relieved that I can go through a whole day with the A53. No regrets
same with me from nova 5t to a53😂
Thanks for the info it seems like a reasonably good phone. I'm wanting to see what the A73 has as it will be available where I'm at.
Just upgraded from a galaxy a20 after the phone became slow and I ran out of data. Big difference really love the phone great camera great storage and decently fast processor n cpu. For the price I think it's excellent
I hope you meant storage instead of data. I'm gonna upgrade from an old A20 also and looking at this. $49 with switch Metro by Tmobile.
@@ChillydontCap yeah thats what I meant. Make sure to get insurance cuz my battery went out after only 2 months but I got a new one under warranty for free.
I purchased this Samsung A53 phone over a week ago via Metro by T-Mobile. I paid $199 for Mines and purchased a set of Bluetooth headphones in store for $30. I also purchased 2 type C wired earbuds on Groupon where it plugs into the type C port (starting at $13.99). I recently purchased 2 new Samsung adaptive fast chargers via Groupon for my old phone, so I can use it on my new phone. I received a charging cable, but no adaptive charger with my new phone. Thx 4 the 411 on this phone - very helpful and useful!
Thanks for the tip about the Dolby audio setting👍👍
Weird that although you mentioned the lack of headphone jack as a con, you failed to mention that you can STILL hook headphones to this device if it has a USB-C hook-up. It's really not that big a deal, plus you can pay a couple bucks for a good splitter and still be able to use the 3.5mm and even auxiliary cable with the splitter. I paid less than $10 for a splitter on Amazon. There are always ways around things. I also have Galaxy Buds as well. My S22 also does not have the headphone jack either (nor have any of the other Samsung's I've purchased in the last 3yrs) but hey, you learn to work with what you have, and to work around it. Wouldn't consider it a "con", just something you'd have to be willing to work around. 🤷🏽♀️
I'm aware of those dongles. It's just something else to add to the phone though. I hate all the wires and crap. I'm glad it's not a con for you but it is for me.
Got the A53 last week to replace my old S20 which was out of contract and very cracked so going sim only wasn't really an option. Happy with my choice especially considering the price of the S22 range
I bought this to use while my Z Flip 3 was in for repair. As soon as it comes back I'm selling it and keeping the A53 😂 it's so much better
Replaced my iPhone 6 to this phone galaxy a53. Been using it for 4 weeks and I must say this is such a good phone, worth the upgrade and switch.
Just got this phone a couple days ago. The lack of charger is a bummer but no deal breaker. You can get an official Samsung 25watt fast charger and cable from Amazon for 20 bucks. Charges it from 15% to 85% in slightly more than an hour. The delay on the camera is annoying but I'm coming from a 20 dollar flip phone so still pleasing. Paid $354.00 with no trade-in. Good bang for the buck.
Mine cost just over $300 (new) so I can't complain, especially with the 4 years of Android upgrades and 5 years of security updates.
Watching this video on my A52s 5G! 💯
Congrats, u got the better phone.
More cons: Exynos Chip, still overpriced, no TPU case. The A52s is far better and cheaper. Might as well get that or pay a bit more and get the S21 FE
I've got the A52s 5G and love it think the 778G holds its own and exynos chips are still kinda new and still need improving where I feel in safe hands with a snapdragon chip so I think better off getting a S21 or 22 or the FE 21 or 22 when the 23s come out more reliable and will get a good bargain with either
Why is A52 better?
@@larpy because he owns it. 🤣
Coming from someone who's owned an a52 (not a52s), a53, mi 11 lite (same snapdragon 778 process as a52s), s21 fe and s22 ultra, I can say go a53 if u want best battery or a micro SD card slot. Performance go a52s, s21 fe, or s22 ultra. Samsung has the best trade in deals if you have an older Samsung device, but metro Pcs has the a53 for $49 it the s21 fe for $199 when switching carriers. Personally I'd go with the s21 fe if u can find it on sale but if u need more storage to with the a53 for the card slot. A53 is good unless you're used to flagship phone then it will feel slightly slower. Reducing animations helps
A52s is not an option for me in the US, unfortunately. But I was able to order the A53 for only $349 brand new from Amazon. That's at least $200 less than the S21 FE, so I think that price difference is big enough for me to go with the A53. I think it will be absolutely fine for my usage. I'm coming from a Pixel 3a, so mid-range is fine.
Is that it? are those your Cons? no headphones and no charger? You got me worried for a second there. I'm typing while my new A53 is completing the data transfer from my old Xiaomi Mi 2. I know...huge upgrade. I was running out of storage space, the 1 TB card was installed before the phone even booted for the first time. That was reason no. 1, over 4 years without security/Android updates was reason no. 2 for the investment.
My biggest complaint and the reason I'm returning it tomorrow,, the camera and this coming from an old S9. Photos appear washed out and under saturated for sure. The front camera beats my old S9 but I'm not happy with any of the rear cameras. The speaker(s) blew me away and I loved the bass and sound quality compared to my old phone. It hasn't lagged and seems to be a perfect phone besides the camera (for me). The rep gave me a free charger, screen protector and case. I hate to return it but I need a better phone.
Its time for a new entrance my friend. Good video.
you can use type C earphones
My husband got the A53 but it gets hot and he says battery does not last all day. Anyone have the same issues?
So would the previous A52S 5G be better because of the slightly faster cpu and headphone jack? Everything else seems to be exactly the same specs, except for length of updates/security support.
Would you recommend this phone to someone who is looking to upgrade from a S10e?
To speed your phone up go to setting find build number and press it 7 times then developer options will appear. Go into that and it allows you to speed up your phone significantly! Hope this helps people out.
I like how it does not dig into your hand like the s22 ultra with the sharp corners.
Keep going on these videos
P.S.
I agree with you in that I'm disappointed Samsung no longer includes the wall charger (I still feel if we are going to purchase one like an accessory? then it needs to be 25 watt 30 watt fast charging!) - but if Samsung is giving you free earbuds, along with a trade in discount? then I think Consumers are going to take the deal! 🤘🏻
Makes me mad how they say the reason you don't get charger beacuse better for the environment.. No its better for there income 🙏
Yes it's balances out cause of the this 👍
Is it a good decision to switch my phone from a huawei mate 20 lite to a Samsung a53?
yeah i bought this phone a few days ago and i really do like this phone a lot great device :)
I just bought one from Boost for $150. This is an excellent phone for that price. So what if it doesn't have an ear phone plug. I can't remember the last time I plugged in some headphones. Bluetooth works really well now. Plug points tend to break. Good riddance I say. And the phone looks a lot sleeker without a gaping headphone plug hole.
hi i have a question is this camera optimised for the social media cameras like instagram or snapchat like the s22 is
Yes , the camera app even has a dedicated setting for Snapchat it's called FUN inside the app.
Hello I'm Gregory and I would like to know does the Samsung has dual bluetooth audio where you can run two different devices at one time??????? I need a new phone but this time I'm not going to buy unless it has dual audio for the bluetooth side
Everybody that does a review never ever discuss the bluetooth side of it
Yes it does! That is one of the reason i went for Samsung.
got one a month ago... had a note 8 and this is a lot like the note 8 but better. just about the same large screen also
Hi Techright, if we were to compare the s8 display vs the a53, which is better? Knowing that s8 has 580 pixel density and the a53 has 395 pixel density and in contrast s8 has older tech, lower refresh rate, lower nits etc.
@D. R. duh... S8 has quad HD resolution. What the fck was he thinking?
Will you please do a video on the bluetooth side of this phone please????
I've had the A53 for a few days now and I'm disappointed. The major con-that you didn't happen to mention-is the Exynos processor. It has a noticeable lag when using gesture navigation and when scrolling through common apps. A lot of respected reviewers here on YT have commented on this. It may not be a dealbreaker for everyone, but it's a downgrade from the A52. Also, despite how big the battery is, it actually drains pretty fast in my experience so far. This too has been remarked on by new users on support forums. Another issue is shutter lag. Photos from the main camera look good, but shutter lag is serious problem. Low light photos are also washed out. Did you even use this phone?
I faced the lag problem too, but recently I found the way to make it less lag. To fix that, open developer options then drop animator duration scale down to .5x. That's it.
I bought this phone ..... Not for myself but my father bought it
And my father old phone was samsung galaxy j5(2015) so its a very very good phone for him...... Also i get this under 29000 with the charging brick!! So i think its a good decision? After all he is a samsung lover?😅😅 please tell me i want to know that... It is good decision or not?😐??
Waching this video i feel good as a user of A53 5G. Today I have got a software update too.
You could have pointed out that it isn't a good move up from the the A 52 5g. It's an ok upgrade from the A 51. I upgraded from an A20 to the A52 5g. Best move I have made. I paid $399 to Metro for the upgrade.
Then I shouldn't ask questions about why I should move from A8+(2018) to the A53. 😂
@@clementkyei6076 I never heard of the A8.
Wow, it's a 4 year old midrange phone. Stuck with android 9
@@clementkyei6076 Samsung has made a lot of phone models. Move to the A33 or the A53 depending on how much you want to spend.
Vons the a52s is better in pretty much every way and comes with a charger brick as well as probably being around the same if not cheaper price.
I also have a work issued Samsung XCover Pro. I think it's around 800 dollars and the a53 is shockingly similar to it.
I have had my A53 for a week and love it! better speakers sound than the S21! stilll kept the expandable memory. I could care less about ear buds,as I have my favorites.
It measures ab 3 inches across, a relief for smaller hands.
It has a plastic back, yet a phone with some heft to it.
The speaker sound does wonderful things for my CZcams classic TV playlists! This is a mid-ranger well worth getting.
I have had the A53 5G for two months now, and still amazed with it, the wife has a i phone 13 (over twice the price of mine), but now wishes she had got one of these.
I,ve been looking at this as I,am on the a53 now battery is done seems a decent blower as I,am not an apple guy time for an upgrade I think👍
The earbuds sell for about $160 and Samsung is will to give you those for free, but they won't include a charger, that maybe $50 at most? Perfect business sense!!
A 25 W charger can be bought on Amazon for $18 US and with the advent of SoundPeats BT ear buds for $30 US these negatives are a mute point. There are still people using wired ear buds ?
The a52s has been out for quite awhile now and although the processor is arguably better that's where it stops plus it should be getting Android 13 later this year making it a 2 to 3 year phone at best, it also only has a smaller battery and the pictures and video don't look as good.
I don't really care that it does not have a headphone jack I haven't used wired headphones in years I just connect to my Bluetooth speaker and jam on
So I heard the A53 has a slower processor to save battery and extend battery time. I just got mine and use battery saver option, lasts a long time.
I like this phone a lot. Upgraded from a Galaxy Grand Prime that barely worked, so this new phone feels like something from Star Trek for me lol ...
Not adding a charger is a good thing. They are standardized now so that if a new one came with every phone and other device, we'd all have too many unopened ones stuffed into a drawer.
And just think, the price would be even more than $450 if it had the charger in the box.
I'm very happy that Samsung is moving away from the "prism" plastic coatings. It was a good thought but it looked cheap and was horrible with fingerprints lol
Just purchased phone 12/22. Putting away my SG J7. Watched hours of reviews and purchased it on a 0% /24 mo. Plan.
How’s the battery life???
please test Face id crap, and super stabilisation on Video, benchmark flash drive and compare crappy ufs 3.1
i bought this 1. Happy so far (few days) but I come from a Xiaomi Mi A1.
Where is the indicator light when phone charges
Watching this video on a A51.
Could you please do a review of the Samsung galaxy a73 5g
And FYI you can get a solid 25 watt fast charger made by Anker for 15 bucks at Walmart or Amazon
I have done some research and it has come down to this or the s21 fe. Not apples to apples I know. $250 price point difference. The camera in the S21 fe has optical zoom. That is a big deal if you take landscape photos. It also has fewer pixels. Which means larger pixels. Therefore better low light pics The difference is not subtle. S21 is quicker. It does not take sd cards so you better be happy with the storage built in. The A53 is a better deal for sure. Truly amazed at what they pack in for the price. The S21 fe just does everything a little bit better. The $250 price difference isn't that much when it comes to diminishing turns. Worth it on a daily basis? Absolutely.
looking at your video I have the impression you don't know that the Samsung Galaxy A52s exists...😶
To me price is too high. I got a new LG g8x for $170. 6 gb ram 128 internal storage. On Android 11. 12 update is this summer. Android 13 is last update. But the snapdragon 855 also. No way the phone should be over $400. The processor will not hold up under 4 Samsung updates. Also no headphone jack & no charger. This is not a flagship phone.☹️
100% Agree A52s better option
Metro pcs has it for new customers for $49 if you bring your number from another carrier
Even though LG has stopped selling phones if you buy one now you get Android 11 you get Android 12 update and 13 I could go by the b60 which will blow that out the water for 300 bucks
How's the fingerprint sensor? Is it better than the A52 5G? The one on my A52 5G fails once or twice, very rarely, but it's still a disappointment when it happens. Plus there aren't many screen protectors that work with the A52 5G's fingerprint sensor.
The Exynos SoC is cheeks. The only thing holding this phone back.
What's the hardware going to be like in 4 years?
The hardware will be exactly the same hardware in 4 years from now.
A regular wall charger wouldn't work?
Yah it would
@@TechRight thank you im trying to update to this phone, I currently have the A02s
As long as it has USB-C, because the included cable is USB-C to USB-C. You can always buy an adapter or a USB-A to USB-C cable.
How to do live streaming using a53?
Biggest con for me is the processor for gaming and productivity like canva and you cut. Otherwise it's a cool phone. Could've added 4k
Not sure where these youtubers are from when doing paid reviews but must be good to make review videos & get paid for it because I picked up the A535G recently & in Australia from Costco it costs $649 but I got mine for $500 same price as my old A52 4G but also youtubers lie about how strong the screen is because from first hand experience I dropped my A53 a little over an hour ago a very short distance & the screen got small cracks & I wasn't able to get a screen protector or a case for it but 90% of youtubers somehow have their units come with a screen protector & a case which is a little unfair to be honest
Boost mobile is selling the phone for 199$
I just bought mine last week for $150.
@@jeffmorefield how?
The only reason they don't put a charger in his to boost profits
Like the phone but no charger, head phone jack, and case
This phone stutters on mobile games like ML and other resource hungry games. Not for gaming but good for photography and social networking
Share from para Mister point in the process or not very good one and stabilization video Is not that good
Guys does the phone have screen mirroring
Yes.
💪💪💪
I bought it 3 days ago and it overheat all the time I'm returning this phone
Ooofff
You dont even mention the chip?
Pros
Solid upgrade from the 2019 Samsung Galaxy A51
You are ready to switch from a 4G LTE Network to a 5G Network (you found this Device for a discount!)
I think it's better than the 2020 Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (unless you seriously can find that 5G Device at an extreme discount!)
Cons (?)
Some Consumers won't pay $400 - $450 for a mid-tier Device (Consumers like you will probably prefer the $300 - $350 price range 2022 Galaxy A33 5G!)
Some are going to question how good Samsung's Exynos 5 nm is (you probably wish Samsung used the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 - but then this device would be at a $500 - $550 price range if it did! I say be glad it's not using a MediaTek chipset!)
You still have the 2021 Samsung Galaxy A52 5G (hold on to that Device, you're good for another 2 years!)
In the end, it's a personal choice for the Consumer and there is no Pro or Con (great overview Techright!) 🤘🏻
Smart 🧐 analysis
Thanks for this! I'm coming from a 2017 Galaxy j7 pro and i'm i know what to buy now
"I say be glad it's not using a MediaTek chipset!"
I'd say, Mediatek chipsets are pretty competitive this time around so you can't go wrong with them. The recent Dimensity 9000 and 8100 are pretty much neck-in-neck against Snapdragon equivalents. Earlier ones like Dimensity 900 - 1100 are pretty good too.
Exynos SoCs are sadly the worst performing ones, unfortunately, and this is coming from an old Samsung user.
Car phone connect not easy need help
No charger, degraded chipset, no headphone jack. 🤦🏻♂️
Con: no headphone jack.
A52s 5g is much better
This phone is a gimmick the processor in the iPhone se is the flagship a15 but this phone has a plagship processor from the s9
lazy work. u didnt even do a simple open the sim tray. i can google what u said. most want to know camera and video jitter issues.
♥️
Hes lying it does come with a charger but not the charger block
That's called a data cable. The wall charger is the block 😂
Using Android nowadays is like using an iPhone clone especially in the U.S. market.
Just forget about this phone.
Not gonna take advice from you bud. I don't see any content from you.
this phone is inferior in every way compared to the a52s, no reason to buy this........
Well upgrade from a Note10+, this already feel like a flagship phone
Do you feel any lag when using a53 compared to note 10+. I currently own a S10e and currently considering a53 as my next phone
Just don't buy it if you have a con in mind.
Simple
