    Canadian here…love how you pronounce boil….bowl. So fun to watch your southern cooking, and hear the accent. Never heard of this cowboy candy before.

    I was at a church food give away, there was a young man holding a small box of peaches. About 9 or so. They were bruised up and looked kinda sad, he said these dont look so good. I said it looks like peach butter to me. I made 5 jelly jars of wonderful peach butter. You just have to use what you can get. (I cut out all the bruises parts.) I was happy.😊

      Yep, I just have to be thankful for what I have and not worry about what I don't. Peach butter sure does sound good right now! My table is still covered with peaches. I may never get all of these done lol

    Did you know that Kingston, TN used to be the Peach Capital? Boats used to load up there and take peaches all over. However, a blight went through and now there are no peaches. Kingston also used to be the State Capitol for 1 day. Enjoy your peaches and strawberries! 😇

      I knew it was the state capitol for a day but I didn't know about the peaches! That's super interesting. I'll have to research that a little more. Thanks for the info!

    Yummy cowboy candy is so good!! I can't eat it like I used to but I still make it for the hubby. I canned your taco soup recipe yesterday 8 quarts and 2 didn't seal. Since it was my first time pressure cooking I don't know what I did wrong. There was some juice in the canner after so I don't know. I have a question is it ok to can half of the soup one day and the other half the next day? Sometimes you just run out of daytime and energy to do it all in one day lol I have so many questions while doing this I think I need to watch more videos about the basic rules so I don't kill us 😂 ❤

    • @FromtheHoller
      @FromtheHoller  Před měsícem +2

      It siphoned on you. When I open my lid I let mine sit in the water for about 5 to 10 minutes to cool down a little before I take them out of the canner. It helps. Yes, you can put it in the fridge overnight and can it up the next day. I've had to do that a few times

    • @Stacey67643
      @Stacey67643 Před měsícem

      I did ham and bean soup today and I can smell it really strong as the canner is decompressing so I think it spilled out again ugh I don't know what I'm doing wrong. @@FromtheHoller

    You are lying. You did not get all that for 25 dollars! That is a fact! The jalapeños alone would have cost at least 8 to 10 dollars. The pick your own farms charge PER POUND! that means that was at least 20 to 30 dollars. That chicken was about 5 to 7 dollars.
    That is FAR MORE THAN 25 dollars!! Stop trying to act poor and pretending to use a ridiculously low amount of money for food.

    • @FromtheHoller
      @FromtheHoller  Před měsícem +1

      I grew the jalapeños my own damn self. I NEVER said this all was part of the haul! Pay attention, if that's possible. The chicken was $10 each pack, there were 2 of those and the strawberries were 2.50 each. That was the only part of the grocery haul. It was clearly stated in the video. Sorry you're too stupid to listen and understand that. Now please f♧ck all the way off my channel with this stupid shit
