Can't forget "Meadows" - the screaming at the start & then the song!? It's SO GOOD!! I've always been a big fan of Joe, & he has MANY Unbelievably GR8 songs, & a fantastic sense of humor. Also, his smile is infectious!! This performance makes me happy every time I watch/listen to it.

The smoker you drink the player you get. No words other than these could describe him any better. He might not smoke or drink anymore but he can still play. He is one of the greatest songwriters of our time when you look at his total body of work with the James Gang, Barnstorm, the Eagles, and his solo career. He is a true legend.
One of my favorite songs from Joe and one of my favorite movies "The Warriors".
If I could spend a day with one rock star, it would be Joe Walsh. He must have a million stories. He's a walking history book of Rock and Roll. Friends with John Bonham and Keith Moon. He's married into Ringo Starr's family. He's lived the rock-and-roll lifestyle with more gusto than pretty much anybody I can think of. And a damn fine guitar player to boot!
...and been SOBER since 1995....amazing
Walsh would be second to a guy named Ozzy when comparing who has lived and survived the rock and roll gusto filled lifestyle but shouldn't have!

A great Joe Walsh story he told on a Chicago radio program: When the Eagles were recording "Hotel California," Walsh and Don Felder shared a tape of their amazing double lead guitar break for the rest of the band. The notoriously anal Don Henley said, "It's very good, but something is missing. Give it another shot." At that point, the rest of the band went to dinner. Felder and Walsh fired up a joint, ordered Chinese, and watched the Dodgers game. But first, they took the same tape of the double lead break and put it in a different canister. When Henley returned, they played the exact same tape, and Henley said, "That's IT! See, I knew you guys could do it."

Sends me back to 1978, seeing the Warriors at the Odeon in Aberdeen with the Whitehills crew, and coming out filled up with that song. Love Joe Walsh, and all my favourites have worked with him, from Ray Wylie Hubbard to Warren Zevon.

Always think of The Warriors (one or my favorite films) when I hear In the City. Probably not that many people now know it was a Joe Walsh solo song for a movie before it was a Joe Walsh Eagles song. Great song, great musician, great guy!

😂There’s no Autotune. Joe has never been the greatest singer and it shows in this performance. He gives it just what it needs.

I’ve always loved Joe Walsh. Great to see him still enjoying performing and entertaining his audience. Saw him solo at Jones Beach in 2016 and again with Eagles just last month in Garden. Powerful guitar, fun personality.

I first remember hearing this song in junior high Boulder Colorado 1979. It sticks in my memory because it was the first time I had felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up!

First time I heard this classic was watching The Warriors in my early 18. The movie itself strike me a lot. But I was amazed when I heard the firsts Chords from In the City. And I remember the last movie line "The Best". It shure is.

I got to see him with the Eagles on their "Hell Freezes Over" tour. The 1st half was Eagles Songs, then 2 songs by Henley, 1 or 2 by Frey, then 6 - 7 Joe Walsh songs. I think they ended it with "Hotel California", but I didn't care. I was never a BIG fan of The Eagles - but hearing Joe Walsh songs for 25 - 30 minutes MADE that show WAY BETTER than I had expected!! He's TRULY the apinity of "Cool"!!
