Really love the road trip episodes and this one was fabulous. Elsie was at her peak around this time - really looking fabulous- as was Denis in those shorts! The new actor playing Todd Grimshaw- looks like Denis here- very much.

At the point 6:42 there is another member of Dad's army walking with Minnie Caldwell. It is Arnold Ridley who played Private Godfrey in Dad's Army. There are now three people from Dad's Army who have appeared in Coronation Street. From January 1961 to the end of May 1965 Arthur Love who played the grumpy and pompous Captain Mainwaring played Leonard Swindley, James Beck who played the jolly Joe Walker played a police Sergeant in May 1967. Now in this episode we have Arnold Ridley who played Private Godfrey in Dad's Army.
