Mahone Bay ended up being one of our favourite destinations that we visited on our epic Nova Scotia, Canada road trip. One of the things we loved the most was just how charming the town is and how easy it is to get around on foot. After parking our car we ended up being within walking distance of all the churches, museums, restaurants, cafes and breweries that we wanted to visit. Another aspect that is great is that you have many nearby trails, islands and beaches worth checking out. You can spend time enjoying the charming town and then head out into nature to make the most of your day. We found locals very friendly and had many pleasant conversations. Overall, Mahone Bay left a tremendous impression upon on us not only as a travel destination but as a great place to potentially live. If you're visiting Nova Scotia be sure to add Mahone Bay to the list of must-visit destinations on your schedule.

MAHONE BAY Travel Guide | 15 Things to do in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada
Greetings from Mahone Bay. This is a place we've been wanting to visit and it is like a 10 or 15 minute drive from where we're staying in Lunenburg. Very convenient and very easy to access. We are continuing our road trip along Nova Scotia South Shore and today we're spending the day here in Mahone Bay. So far our impressions of this place is just that it is incredibly charming. It's the most relaxing town. We're just gonna explore on foot all day.
And that was our day trip to Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. We took the scenic road back to Lunenburg along the lighthouse coastal road driving past mater's cove and detouring to herman's island where we spotted a deer. It was so peaceful and such a beautiful part of nova scotia. It really won over our hearts on this trip. 22:30 - In Germany we use the shell of the first mussel taken out by a fork as pliers in order to get the other mussels without use of any cutlery. In high class restaurant a bowl of lemon water is provided in order to clean the hands after the meal.

I am from Dartmouth, NS but living and working in Indonesia the past 15 years. Can't get clams and chips here. At 5:02 of the video I let out a giant cry/wimper and my wife came running like I had an accident. I am still not sure if the visual of those clams made my day or I will just cry a little 😂

Both names are derived from the word "mathghamhan," which means "bear." Yep I am a Geek, and proud of it. Keep up the wonderful clips and My God that Mac and Cheese looked amazing!

Oh an I hang out at oh my cod a lot but not as much as Mateus bistro. The owner is the bistro is my best friend. I used to work there and also I catered for the show the curse of oak island also.

The museum at oak island is closed because of covid 19. The best boat tour is done by my friend tony Sampson. Who is also on the tv show

It’s sad you came during a pandemic. I absolutely love Mahone bay and lunenburg. I am writing these comments as I’m watching your video. I realize that I should have waited until I watched the whole thing. That way I wouldn’t have to write a hundred comments. I do apologize for that. I do love your videos!
My grand father worked at the brewery when it was a garage as a mechanic. The restaurant next to the coffee shop is where I cook now. It’s called circa 1860 and has the highest reviews on trip advisor. But I literally hang o it at Mateus bistro all the time and still help Matt out as he needs it.

I'm not real shocked that Oak Island is closed during the height of Covid. Actually a little surprised more things haven't been closed. God knows what they've been doing on the island this season. Sorry you didn't have a chance to check out the museum or take one of the boat tours. Maybe later, I'd love to hear your report. That said you really should have stopped by the Mug and Anchor in Mahone bay, if nothing else for gossip about Oak Island.
