Great video Tom. When lowering the cart you need to push down on one of the red tabs. It has a lip that keeps it locked into place when it’s upright. When you push down on that one red table it makes it easier to disengage and lower the cart. I agree that the Weber covers are far superior then any generic ones I have purchased. I have a cover for the grill and also picked up the cover that goes over the grill and cart as well. I recommend checking the batteries in those lights every few months. For some reason my batteries tend to corrode inside the light. It happens to both of my Weber’s regardless of the brand of batteries I use. I suspect it might have to do with where I live though. I also picked up a short handled Weber cleaning grill brush and utensils that I keep in the grill at all times since it’s portable and it’s one less thing I might forget when taking it out. I use my 1200 on the go a lot since it’s my “boat grill” that I use when we decide to have lunch when out on the lake. These Weber’s are bullet proof and worth every penny! Glad to see you upload videos feature the unit since I’m a HUGE fan of the Q series. I would recommend keeping an eye out for the electric Weber Q for those times you run out of propane which happens to me all the time lol..
Nice review. I was holding the light the other day but opted against it for some reason. The cart i have not seen here yet - i need to search for it :) Thanks Tom
Great video Tom! Love your new addition to the family (Baby Blue). When you talked about the great light accessory it reminded me that I wanted to ask you if you had a good lighting idea for my smoking/grilling area. I have two pellet grills in a gazebo that I enclosed the sides on and I now have just regular lights in. They do not give me enough light at the grilling surfaces and after a short time of cooks they start to get dimmer from the smoke on the bulbs. Was wishing you might be able to give me some good light ideas for the smokers. I have a Traeger Texan and a Grilla Grill. I saw that Rec Tec put a light inside their pellet grill and I thought that would be a great way, but not sure how to accomplish that. Maybe some of your other viewers would also like a video on some lighting ideas for their grills also. Could be a great video with all the mods and wonderful ideas that you have shared with us all. Thank you and have enjoyed all your videos.
Thanks Rick! The interior light that Rec Tec has is great but needs to be cleaned often, which means taking it apart the smoke and grease gets on the exterior and interior but when it is clean it works great! Great idea for a mod! LED lighting that is more to at the grill has a tendency to work better. Thanks again!
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ Thanks for the reply. Hope you can come up with a great mod for us. I know sometimes you cook in the dark and apologize for the lighting. Maybe the Weber grill light is the best idea, but we just need to make some mods for our different cookers. This could be a great video for you to do. You come up with some fantastic ideas!
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ Just curious, if you did a video at night on your new Weber (Baby Blue) using the light on the handle would we be able to see the food better? Thanks
Rick Short Yes, I believe I used it already in the dark on my last video with the Q1200. I had some light from the garage also but it did light up the cook very well. Thanks Rick
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ Sorry Tom if I missed the light being used. I will go back and watch it again. This lighting conversation could be a great topic. I have been looking on Amazon for barbecue grill lights and most of them are battery operated and there are so many to choose from. Why hasn't some of the pellet grill companies used the existing electric and made us a great light? The invention is in your hands. Haha. I know there are a lot of options out there, but I just wanted yours. Keep the great videos coming.
Just got my Weber Q 1200 today. Have 2 cooks under it already. Perfect grill for small weekday cooks
4 Evva BBQ Thanks for Watching! I agree!
I've had mine camping in the field for about a year, so I passed on the stand, but the light is a must have.
I agree! Thanks for Watching!

tonybuddy123 Thanks Tony! I should've explained that better, good tip on the utensils!
Great review and the new style cart is a big improvement over the old cart for the 100/200 series Qs.
Thanks for watching!
Nice review Tom ! Weber does make some pretty good products .
Thanks Kent!

My Weber q cover isn’t great. It gets super stiff and makes it hard to use. Maybe I’m just unlucky though. Love your videos!
Alex Naumann Thanks for Watching Alex! Good Feedback, do you have a suggestion of a better one?
I was able to score a Q1200 and stand for 71.00 at Home Depot!! It was on clearance and nobody seem to won't to take it home so I did!!!
Scott Roberts That’s a Awesome deal SCOTT!
