PsychOut's Guide to Swarming!! [Maximizing Your Swarm Value!]

Swarming flags and fortresses in rise of kingdoms is critical to burning back enemy territory and advancing your own. Unfortunately, many people get it wrong. In this video, I give the tips I use to swarm and grade all of the legendary commanders from top to bottom in terms of their effectiveness for swarming.

i seriously hope youre joking that trajan and mulan are good for swarming, because they absolutely are not. there's no way to guarantee theyre going to be buffing the marches actually hitting the flag since there's always other marches circling/standing around that they can buff instead and their contribution to the actual swarm damage is next to zero.
Never, ever swarm with a buffing commander. if you want their buffs, hit a barb or another field march near the flag and hope the buffs land on a swarming march, but never the target itself.

Hey sorry I missed this comment. Two things here. First, if you are swarming with your own marches, it is guaranteed that the buffs will apply to your marches. So as long as your marches are connected, you will be getting the buffs. But that rather misses the larger point about Trajan. He also applies a debuff (20% increase to all damage dealt to the target for 3 seconds) that is valuable.
Of course, you are right that solo swarming with a buffing commander runs serious risk of buffing marches that aren't even hitting the target. But that's not what I mean here.

Tip: don't ever ever try to swarm a flag unless you big whale who can afford it

Certainly I wouldn't 5+ march swarm unless I needed to lose troops quickly. But even smaller players who are looking to kill troops can swarm with a single march.
