I like the crochet method because it allows you to pre-part your whole entire head so you don’t have to worry about the parts. That’s what I plan to do.
I plan on do this but I know it will take a few days with school and work

I don’t recommend this for an entire head unless you are very familiar with doing hair and how much hair to add so the knot doesn’t show when your hair starts to grow out

I'm growing out a pixie cut. So I think the method would be good for the back. I know that hair proportion is crucial so it don't put tension on my real hair. Thank you!!
@amelialee100 also, with this method you are prone to more slippage. I explained this in the video of me using that method on short hair
Do you find that after a couple of reties that the know from the extension is visible? Because the loc is thicker than the new growth?

I just started following your page. I like the box braid and feeding the braids method. Without locking. Can you show how you prepare the two piece of hair and how you braid it in. Your hands were blocking it. Its the box braid method im talking about.

Love the options! I have soft low density hair - which method of adding in the extension hair have you found looks better at the root on longer low density hair; knotless or crochet thru at the root?

Yes. You will have to comb the extensions out or cut them
Can these same techniques be used for mircoloc braids?
My question is..... is this a permanent loc? Can it be unlocked at any point?
You can comb it out like natural locs

Interlocking tool on Amazon. If you interlock the roots it’s intended to be permanent
Using the method wear you use the crochet hook, are you concerned about the braid being too thick when you retighten it?
The braid will only be too thick if you add too much hair. Since I’ve done this so many times I can easily measure out how much hair is needed per loc.
What is the shortest length hair you could do loc extensions on ?
I’ll be starting mine with 4 inches of hair… I’m thinking the 1st method would work best.. your thoughts!

Hello would you do these on someone with low density hair? And if so when it grows out is the natural hair visibly thinner?
This client has low density hair. The only way the natural hair would be thinner is if the person who did your hair used too much hair for the extensions

How long do you recommend waiting before coloring? I’ve heard conflicting information.
You should wait until your hair is fully matured to avoid damage. Which could be 1 year or 2. Rushing to dye or bleach is unnecessary
How do you measure the amount of hair to avoid having an obvious difference as the loc grows?

After using the extension to start the, at what point do you remove the extion?
Whenever you want. It’s your hair.
Do you interlock the root after you have added the extension or do you wait to interlock at the next retie?
The roots are interlocked at installation

Can I use step 3 but add it in the middle of the braid ? I plan on cutting them off as my hair grows and don’t want to end up cutting too much of my hair? Or maybe crocheting from the middle of the braid?
Sure. It’s your hair. There are no rules or a specific way to do do your own hair

They can be combed out

Yes you can
I have watched several micro loc extensions and so far everyone is doing a feed in micro braid into a two strand twist.. Is this it?

So I’m in a bit of a tuff spot and maybe someone can help me out in the comments.I want micros but I have a small bald spot in the front of my head so do you guys think it’s possible to do one of these methods with regular size locs ?? Plz help
You can do this with any size.

I’d advise against it simply because a retightening is tight on your scalp and it would be unnecessary tension

I don’t use synthetic hair so I am unable to tell you any brand names of that type of hair.
Starting with three strand will leave an inconsistancy in the loc
If done improperly yes it will. And if you add too much hair then yes it will. However, I am not a beginner so I don’t have that issue.

What do you do if the extensions don’t hold up how do you get them out ?
If you want to take the extensions out, you would simply untwist and comb out the knot
