This is an absolute must for me , I have the 2020 iPhone SE and it uses the same port for charging the phone with a wire as it does for the head phones ( or in my case the wire running from phone to my stereo input on my 2010 street glide) , so the only way to charge my phone while listening to music over the speakers on my bike is to charge it wirelessly,... thank you for the video ,... much appreciated !!
I love love love this charger!! They were at about a 3-4 week backorder when I ordered. But it's worth the wait. I used the dash mount from Ciro on my Ultra and it is perfectly front and center. The charging is really fast and so easy. I have the S9 Samsung .
Really like the wireless charging. Your videos are very detailed easy to follow. Takes the nervousness out of doing something new for the first time.

I use an otter box on my I phone and it charges fine with the wireless charging. This is an awesome product so I don’t need to have the auxiliary power on. Definitely going to get one. Thanks for the great video.

Another good video. Just a FYI - Qi (pronounced /tʃiː/ CHEE;[1] from the Chinese word qi)
The only reservation I have is the side mounting might cover some buttons on my iPhone. Like you said you need to double check stuff like this. I remember the pronunciation by associating it to "cheesy"

Well I made my own Qi charger from an Xgrip and some epoxy. One the Qi won't charge if you are riding in the sun and the heat. 2 the xgrip will definitely hold a phone through bad rough roads. I've got 30k miles on mine.
Hey Steve maybe Advan Black could design a new dash board that tilts the radio the correct way so we could see our phones during the day. I was looking at the mount for that Sony screen mount and it has a ton off different ways and angels. Just food for thought that would help out a lot of guys !!

You certainly can if you can find some rubber that is thin enough...it wont hurt

What color are the two bikes in the background? Looks like a copper? I like the silver. I’m trying to find a gunship grey road glide limited and I can’t find one anywhere.. lol
the road glide is 2015 Amber Whiskey ..oem color, and the street glide is Charcoal Pearl, 2014 oem color.

It easy, pull your seat and hook the wires to the positive and negative. Route your wire with zip ties so it looks clean. Easy Peasy
Soooooo.....why don't you make a mount to tip the stereo forward a bit? It would still be in the space and not need too much fafing about surely?
If it is always on does it kill the battery? I know my old bike had a BT accessory and if I didnt ride for a week or so my battery would be dead or weak.
If you plan on leaving it for more than a week just unplug it from the bottom of the holder.
Ever since I put this charger on, it drains my battery. Any suggestions?

The question is how many things can I attach to my battery? Amp, trickle charger, heated suit, adding one more cause any issues?
ive got 3 amps, trickle charger, LED light kit, this phone charger, electric center stand, air ride...no issues man...the charging system is pretty awesome on these
How do I keep my phone charger phone charger from tilting down when I hit a bump or on a rough road? I can only get it so tight on the backside before it jumps a thread.
If its skipping threads then the plastic thread is wore out..I would call them for a replacement maybe. I dont know what phone you have but maybe its just too heavy for the mount?
@@sikbaggers it only skips threads when I tighten it up too tight. I have the Samsung S20 ultra. Other than this problem I love the charger but I feel like they should have made that out of some kind of metal. You can only get plastic threads so tight before they mess up
Not bad at all Steve talking to you is like is like to talk to Average guy from around the way. I think you should look in to this company call quad lock. And I think you would be very happy with what they have going on.

@@sikbaggers they are. I have it setup on my 47 bars. I use their universal phone mount, USB charger with RAM and it does not go any where. I'll send you a picture of it to you fb
Let’s say your phone is 80% charged, and u put it on the charger while riding. Once it reaches 100%, does it stop charging or does the charger keep sending power to the phone? With a traditional wired charger, they say don’t keep your phone plugged in to a charger once full, otherwise it could run the battery life down since u are sending constant un needed power to the phone. So in the same since, what happens with this mount once the charge to the phone is at 100%?
It stops charging once it reaches 100%

it does have a small parasitic draw...but very small...left off the tender for a few weeks and still started but yes it does have one.

sorry for the late reply, catching up from Sturgis...never had it drain mine but I dont keep my bikes of a tender very long..maybe a day or two at most...maintaining your battery with a cheap tender will extend the life of your battery!

Curious as to what you still think of this phone mount after a year or so. Do you have to worry about this draining the bike battery?
I havent had nay issues with it draining the battery...however I keep all my bikes on tenders...just prolongs the life of the battery and HD isnt known for making the best batteries

I'm like you Steve, just do not feel that it looks good (however I understand where your coming from) sometimes sacrificing looks for functionality is a key component when actually cruising on the touring models
Yes sir...a few times I really needed it....beats having my wife hold her phone and getting directions from her tapping me on the shoulder to tell me to turn lol

aahh ok it makes more sense on this video lol ...been there done that ...i havent had any issues with it hitting the buttons..I just use the bottom to lower it or raise it so it isnt contacting the buttons
Qi consumes power even when it’s not changing your phone. I wouldn’t have one connection to constant power.
Never had an issue with it but my bikes all stay on trickle chargers...harley is known for making bikes, not batteries.
Can’t u just unplug the main port from the holder and then no power is going to the holder…problem solved …??🤔🤔

hmm more ugly than any other phone holder on the market? it sticks your phone on your handlebars and has a purpose for the user or otherwise I doubt they would buy it and put it on their handlebars.
