@@Wildlife_SA. of course I knew who Elvis was but I never watched him perform. After seeing the Elvis movie, I wanted to check out the real elvis live. This song, the performance was literally one of the best I've ever seen. He doesn't dance but the way he moves, I can't explain it but I'm sure everyone agrees there's just something about it. He really is the coolest person to ever live.

This was Elvis returning to the stage to do what he was meant to do. After ten years away from live performing he came back to open in Las Vegas. He was well received and appreciated by his fans who loved him during his initial run of glory in the 5o's. He gave us a mature performer with new songs and broadened his already enormous appeal. He loved his fans. And we loved him. Until the end. R.I.P. Elvis. You are still loved.

I never met Elvis but as a young teen I met his Stepbrother David Stanley when he visited out church, afterwards came to our house and have dinner with us, and I remember him telling my dad that Elvis' first love was Gospel music and that they would stay up for hours singing after a show, later JD Sumner, whom my Father became friends who said the same thing. JD was the Bass sing for the Stamps Quartet that also sang backup for Elvis, (a very interesting man himself ). Look him up.

Songs like this, and «In the ghetto» and «Don’t Cry Daddy», put him right back in the limelight. He did his comeback in Las Vegas on 31st July 1969, breaking all attendance records.

This is another amaze ballz performance, though not written by him, to me I always thought this song was about him and Priscilla but it’s not, I love how he has fun on stage a true performer, reason he’s the King of Rock n Roll, Music gave us Queen, gave us a Prince and a Madonna but there will always be only one true King. Some say he’s still alive in Florida somewhere, but real Kings never die, he lives on in the music, why the Stars belong in the heavens.🤙

Yep my sheer enjoyment is how he controls that huge band. People think he's making these freaky moves only for the audience but actually it's both. He loves to toy with the tempo. I'll never forget the day he passed. My mom got the news and I saw her almost collapse. She kept crying and was sullen for at least a week. I didn't understand then but I have since. It's nice seeing new generations find him appealing. As a man, this is dangerous to say in my day, but I thought he was the most gorgeous man I've ever seen. Everything about him is pure sex. Don't forget what he did in the beginning though. He completely change music history. what I would like you to review is "If I can dream" on his '68 special. Critics applauded his emotional grip on the song. He was deeply distraught over the horror of the sixties assassinations. It's indeed a powerful performance.

And many other people born before 1945 or therein.

You'll notice when this video ends Elvis is actually in a different costume white in the last few seconds, because before they changed it he did some really expressive shaking that I guess they wanted to remove it from this clip. The original uncut version is on CZcams but it's hard to find!

Hi Rebeka. You must see Elvis, If I Can Dream. In the white Suit.
The year was 1968, and it was filled with turmoil and violence. The war in Vietnam raged on, as did the protests at home. The battle over civil rights continued. On April 4, 1968, Martin Luther King, Jr., was assassinated. On June 5, 1968, U.S. Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy was shot and died the next day. Elvis wanted to end his television special titled Elvis, which aired on December 3, 1968, with something to say beyond “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” Walter Earl Brown wrote the song “If I Can Dream” with Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech in mind as well as and the events of 1968. Elvis recorded it and gave an amazing, emotionally intense performance on the special, worthy of a King. The TV special became known as the “’68 Comeback Special,” as it re-energized Elvis’ career.

🎼🎙🎸 Since Elvis Presley's death on August 16, 1977, I've been a loyal but sometimes critical Elvis Presley fan! When Elvis Presley died in 1977 at the age of only 42, I was only 12 years old and had known little about Elvis Presley before! I currently own over 550 Elvis Presley CDs / records and a total of over 700 different Elvis Presley items (e.g. films, shows, characters, bocks etc.)! I will continue to be an Elvis Presley fan, but occasionally I also listen to music from other singers and music groups! 🎼🎙🎸

B. Filme, Bücher, Shows, Charaktere usw.)! Ich werde weiterhin ein Elvis Presley-Fan sein, aber gelegentlich höre ich auch Musik von anderen Sängern und Musikgruppen! 🎼🎙🎸
