- DIY Hocus Pocus build for Halloween. One of my favorite times of year is the Halloween season. I decorate the house each year and build different props for the yard. I try to make the house a fun destination for trick-or-treaters. This year I have inspired to build my most ambitious project yet, the Sanderson Sister house from Hocus Pocus. In this video I show how I got started planning, how I frame one of the flats, and the finishing techniques I used to make it look great.

Hey thanks! It was a lot of work but worth it.
Cool 😎 and It would be cool if you do the charmed house
Thanks, I’m always looking for my next idea to build. I’ll check it out.
So Cool! Great Job!
Thanks! I’m glad you like it.
Looks great!
Thanks!
Amazing!!!! How did you do the smoke for the chimney???
Hi, I took a wire tomato trainer and used hot glue to wrap it with a light color cloth. Next I used poly fill, like what you would use to stuff a pillow, and hot glued chunks to the fabric in a random pattern. After it was done I hung the pink lights down the opening in the middle. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
Is there a cut list I can see?
Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to create one. This is my hobby and almost turned into a second job. 🙂I knew each panel would be 4’ x 8’ and cut things to fit based on that. It was a lot of custom fitting even though I drew some plans.
How long did this take?
I started planning it out in March, building in July, and had it done by Oct 1st. So about 5 months of planning and building after work and on the weekends. Lots of work, lots of fun, and I really like how it turned out. Thanks for watching!
