  • DIY Hocus Pocus build for Halloween. One of my favorite times of year is the Halloween season. I decorate the house each year and build different props for the yard. I try to make the house a fun destination for trick-or-treaters. This year I have inspired to build my most ambitious project yet, the Sanderson Sister house from Hocus Pocus. In this video I show how I got started planning, how I frame one of the flats, and the finishing techniques I used to make it look great.

Hi, I took a wire tomato trainer and used hot glue to wrap it with a light color cloth. Next I used poly fill, like what you would use to stuff a pillow, and hot glued chunks to the fabric in a random pattern. After it was done I hung the pink lights down the opening in the middle. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!

Is there a cut list I can see?

Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to create one. This is my hobby and almost turned into a second job. 🙂I knew each panel would be 4’ x 8’ and cut things to fit based on that. It was a lot of custom fitting even though I drew some plans.

I started planning it out in March, building in July, and had it done by Oct 1st. So about 5 months of planning and building after work and on the weekends. Lots of work, lots of fun, and I really like how it turned out. Thanks for watching!
