We've done some hard Pokemon challenges in the past, but usually they were a solo or monotype Pokemon challenge run. What if we still did a really difficult challenge... but using hardcore nuzlocke rules, and with only a Pokemon character's best team as a theme team nuzlocke? Today we find out: can Misty's Best Team Beat a hardcore nuzlocke of Pokemon X!?

Character Best Team Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
(1) If a Pokémon faints, it must be permanently boxed or released.
(2) Only one encounter per badge obtained.
(3) No Legendaries/Mythicals, duplicates, or same-evolution-line Pokémon can be caught or used. If a duplicate is encountered, the next unique type-specific Pokémon encounter can be caught.
(4) Additional Pokémon may be caught for the purpose of HM use, but these may not be used in battle at any time during the run.
(5) No Items can be used in battle (Held Items are allowed).
(6) Party Pokémon levels are limited to the highest level Pokémon of the next Gym Leader or Elite 4 Member. So long as your Pokémon are at or below the level cap when the Gym Leader/Elite 4 Member battle starts, they can level up mid-battle.
(7) "Set" Battle Mode must be used at all times.
(8) No connecting with other games for the purposes of importing Pokémon, Items, etc.

Silph you should continue the trend of Kanto gym leaders, you should do Lt.Surge and at the end do the Elite four trainers of Kanto.

It kind of does. She would battle bugs just as long as she doesn't have to be near them. She'd use Gyarados to burn Vardian Forest to the ground

Don’t worry Silph! I’m from Niagara Falls and my brother is a huge Maple leafs fan but I went dark side and prefer buffalo😂 So constantly put down Toronto as well
Doesn't help they'll never win the cup and the last time they did win it was when it was basically 6 teams in the league 100% of all leafs fans are believing this will be the year and it never is
RIP to feebass. The only time it would really show up in one of these series and it gets bodied before evolving. Was almost hoping for another wipe to get a second chance.
Getting the water/flying type right after the grass gym and the water/ground type right after the electric gym is brutal luck 😂

You could play a Pokémon game, but you can only use Pokémon that evolve through trading, but you can’t trade them
Tyrantrum using EQ is 200 power, but Head Smash is 225. Therefore, EQ was never the play for the AI.
Between narrowly losing a Nuzlocke run in one of the more easier Pokemon games, to losing a battle against an opponent she should've had the team advantage over, I got to say,

13:28 You KNOW a gen game gym battle is GOOD when you have type advantage, on around the lvl mark with type advantage and it’s STILL a close battle (assuming you aren’t a weak player who needs potions lol)

When I was a little kid playing Pokémon X for the first time, I actually had the Pikachu 3DS, and since my brother played along with me, and had a regular 3DS, I thought the console reflected the console you were actually playing on, and not that the girl character got the Pikachu 3DS for some reason

I honestly can't decide what gym leader team I'm looking forward to the most. All I know is is that like your hard-core challenge videos these are going to be both entertaining and relaxing when I need to fall asleep to a good video.

how do you decide which game and which type to do a Nuzlocke on? I understand Misty was next in line, but why X over other games?

Do a Nuzlocke using one of the rivals teams. If it has to be a gymleader, I'd love to see you use Giovanni's team. He has indredible type coverage.
This is probably the first time I have seen someone play as the female character in Kalos on a nuzloke. I like it

Well done, like always. This was cutting it close toward the end, luck wasn't with you at certain points. I remember Misty having other Pokemon, too. Limiting yourself to basically eight Pokemon, when some characters do have more than that, is a little bit detrimental, I feel.

Isn't it weird how electric is not weak to water? We all know what happens to electronic devices when they get dropped into the water. Yes living creatures in that water would get electrocuted but the electronics themself would be wasted too. Just sayin it would be fun to have type matchups when 2 different types are super effective on eachother (similar to ghosts and dragons but between different types you know) and it would make sense.
Misty is one of those rare trainers with a great team and the iq of Pokémon blue “good ai” to go along with it😂
What about rival/side trainers? Riley from Gen 4 for example has options like Ursaring and Absol
