    Your videos are very helpful for me, sir. Your explanation is excellent. I had many doubts related to quality control and other lab statistics, but now all doubts are clear. It will be a fortune to work under your supervision.

    I am from Uk, working as biomedical scientist. Specially nowadays very hot in the Uk so QC giving very hard time. Temperature also affect QC results. When I have duty on analyzer it’s very important while doing maintenance as well beofre post cal and QC. We have Roche cobas 8000 c701 and e801. Also I worked p612,P617. 601. To be honest I loved to watch ur video sir. It’s really interesting

    Sir Thank you so much for sharing knowledge. Sir I have a few queries -
    1. Should Westgard rule 1(2s) be followed for same day run also? Eg In the morning qc run, I got 1 2s and same in evening run also, then will it be 2 (2s) or can we rectify it the next day?
    2. When control goes bad and QC out, then do we have to calibrate (when reagent is not changed) before running fresh controls?
    3. Do we have to calibrate before running controls, if same lot reagent is used in case reagent goes bad?
    4. Westgard rule 4(1s) to be followed day wise or run wise?

    • @arunharith
      @arunharith  Před 2 lety +1

      The rules are applied to every continuous run.
      Also if you are running 3evel control and 2 values are above 2s then also it is considered as 2s violation.
      So every consecutive run or even across the same run

    Hello sir
    Thank you for valuable lecture
    Sir suppose i released critical result and dr took action on that result
    In that case when i get to know my qc is out so how will modify the result

    • @arunharith
      @arunharith  Před 2 lety

      Partner. Run qc. If result fine then release reports. When qc fails. Stop testing. Correct reason for qc failure. Run qc to be sure system is fine. Do walk back studies to see if any patient result was impacted.
      If no well evey thing is fine.
      If yes call back the report. Release modified report. Inform pt and doctor. No way out.
      Hiding facts could create more problems.
      Walk back and modified report is a well accepted thing.
      ONLY ONE THING. THE LAST QC RESULT BEFORE THE SAMPLE WAS RUN SHOULD BE FINE. IF THERE WAS A QC OUTLIER AND U HAD NOT REACTED TO IT, THAT WOULD AMOUNT TO NEGLIGENCE
