In episode 5, we hire a car to take a look what the island has to offer. In this video we visit Teror, Las Palmas and Maspalomas
Our first port of call is the mountain town of Teror. Our visit it centered around the Sunday market, which has more of a local feel, selling local produce and goods. Here we sample the Chorizo and Cheese Bocadillo and the local drink Clipper. We also sample some of the fresh BBQ corn with garlic butter and salt. It would be rude to leave and not try a sweet treat too.
Our next stop is Playa de las Canteras in Las Palmas. Las Palmas is the capital of the island and is a busy city with the islands biggest beach. We take some time out to relax on the beach, which has a very local feel to it in an urban environment. The beach is lined with many cafes and restaurants.
Our last stop of the day is in Maspalomas, a more upmarket resort on the south of the island. We have a look around the coastal walk, looking at some of the exclusive hotel resorts there. We then walk around Maspalomas lighthouse before heading into the dunes of maspalomas.

Great video. Did you miss the lady shoogling ( Scottish for shaking) her diddies on Maspalomas beach? 😂 Next time, go to San Mateo market. On a Sunday the locals come out to dance to a live band. The Christmas sculptures on Las Canteras beach are worth a visit too. I wish I was going to Puerto de Mogan on Tuesday. Oh, wait a minute……..✈️✈️✈️✈️

We wish we'd had a bit more time in Las Palmas as the old city was a place we wanted to visit but just didn't get time. If we get back there we will go there

Hi Great video, Teror is a typical Canarian style village, eg.The balconies, which were decorated for a recent festival, it's gone very commercialised though compared to years ago, yes nice local produce there, glad you enjoyed it.
We loved it there, so pleased we made the effort to get there. Lovely village and market.
These videos are so informational. My wife and I love them. Might b booking a week for next year if price is OK.
We had our home visit Monday about the dog and had the thumbs up on Wednesday saying all is great. Then had a call yesterday saying to pick up our new great dane addition a week today down at Dover crossover. So all systems go here so want to say thank u for the info you gave me to get me going.

Yeah it seems a family friendly resort, there's a few adventure parks, mini golf and there are some arcades and things in the commercial centre. Plenty to see and do around the island. There's a water park near Maspalomas too which we wanted to visit and do a video on but just never got the time unfortunately.

Teror looked really nice! Definitely not your traditional Canarian tourist town. The food looked great, I'm with Jacqui on the chorizo - if you order it you want to taste it! Still looked good though, as did the corn 🌽

Great Videos, Loved your Skiathos series, probably my favourite Greek Island. On this one, promenade towards the Lighthouse is the resort of Meleronas. The town of Maspalomas is at the back of the Sand Dunes. Keep up the good work. Cheers 🍻

Absolutely brilliant guys really enjoyed this . We do stay here but it all started in Puerto Rico , your blog was fab think we will defo have a stay in Puerto Rico at somepoint 👍🏻. Would you come back to Gran Canaria next year will be my 10th time missed it last few years due to being cancelled . Love how you literally show every thing so detailed fabulous 😍

Yes Meloneras is more exclusive, nice for a meal but l personally find it a bit boring, especially at night, l prefer Puerto Rico or Playa del Ingles for the craic 😗🤪
We agree, we much preferred where we stayed to be honest. Nice looking place though.
