- Bipod placement is really up to personal preference. In our latest Magpul Extended Minute, Jake breaks down some handy Bipod techniques and placement that work for him in a variety of shooting situations.

Farther back you get more "sensitivity" faster adjustments with less movement. You can pivot very quickly and effortlessly if you need that split second target change.
At the very front you get more precise target acquisition in a smaller field of pivot.
Im sorry for the video game analogy but its like people prefering high ksensitivity mouse so they can flick their wrist and perform a wider and faster turn. While someone prefering low sensitivity doesnt mind moving their entire arm or lifting the mouse to make the same turn.
I run my bipod in roughly the same position, at the end of my 9" rail.
And I do the QD bipod because the lightest bipod is one thats not even on the rifle. I only throw it on when I need it.
Make the bipods in OD Green!!!! You will sell more of them. Why is od green the unwanted child of magpul?????
Another reason the bipod is up front is so you can rest the rifle on barricades on the bipod with it forward without the rifle protruding passed the barricade.
What brand of mag holder and fanny pack setup is that? Does anyone know
Hill people gear Kit bag
with Blue force gear mag holders and spiritus SACK.
Thanks
Does anyone know what kind of rail guards he has? Would appreciate any info. Thanks
You talking about the rail covers? I’m wondering the same thing! I tried to find it in google images but no luck yet 😂 Were you able to find out?
Magpul - Type 2 Half Slot
Is flicking of the safety off and on like Fast and Furious where they shift 19 times on a 5spd. - It just looks cool?
All that is cool, but the downside of this setup is by moving your bipod back that far, you are losing precision and stability at distance, because now your movement is greatly more translated through your scope than if you had the bipod at the end.
Yup; I think it may have advantages for unconventional positions, shooting from barricades, 3 gun, etc, over a traditional setup, though for ultimate precision it may not be superior. It’s a tool for the toolbox. I’ll have to try it out at my next 3 gun match.
@@seraph045 I would go with getting an arca rail.
Magpul shot a minute and a half of video about BIPOD TECHNIQUES but doesn’t even demo shooting tech with the BIPOD, and instead with a PMAG! I call MAGBULL!
