I'm actually impressed that the beginning of your video shows the "right" way to tie a shoe knot (left over right, right over left) because you have essentially demonstrated a "square" knot. I've been doing this for over 53 years (my mom taught me) and I've never had my shoe laces come untied (until the end of the day when I take off my shoes). The problem that people have with their laces becoming untied is that someone taught them the "granny knot" (left over right, left over right). This will invariably become undone over time (just ask my wife who refuses to re-learn the square knot) and she's constantly having to stop and re-tie her shoes throughout the day. I don't think you need to add that extra (loop through the loop method at the 2nd half of your video) because the square knot takes care of itself.
