Hi, thanks again for making these great videos. Where can I buy those shoes, they look really good. I am living in Ireland. Thanks, Ciaran. ☺
+Real Men Real Style I love the new video style.
+Real Men Real Style The new format is very good : acurrate, no room left for interpretation and easy on the eye.
In other words, great !
+Real Men Real Style really good new style
+Charles Wright Thanks!
I've unknowingly been tying my shoes correctly... cool
+ariseira yeah me too. ;)
Same here
Congrats then... u were born a master.
I've been tying mine incorrectly but have decided to make my method the correct one.
Jonathan Hartley I like u
I’ve seen dozens of shoe tying videos, and this one is the best. It’s a combination of clear instructions, great graphics, and most importantly, the shoes are oriented the way we all actually tie them, and not from the front like you are tying your kid’s shoes. Thanks!!!
This remains true for all shoes and not just dress shoes! When I was in elementary school, my father taught me this knot and my shoes never came undone unless I wanted it to come undone. When other kids had it happen and nearly trip, I showed them and they never had it happen again. They still praise me to this day for teaching them that haha. Who knew something so simple could be so effective!
+Fallen One That's impressive :)
I thought I was the only 32 year old guy that only knew the bunny ears method
Lmao bunny ears all the way but yeah it makes me look childish
😂samr
I know the other method but don't do it because it takes too long
You can do the bunny ear method and still get a square knot rather than a granny knot. If you cross right over left first than you do the bunny ears left over right . A square knot uses the same end no matter what side it crosses to. The bunny ears method just forms a bight on both ends before making the knot. What distinguishes a granny knot from a square knot is using the same side you start with for a granny knot or using the same end you start with for the square knot.
my father tought me how to tie my shoes when i was 8, and i would always see someone else tie them a different way and think, "am i doing it wrong". but now i realized that my father tought me the correct way all along and now i thank him for being a true gentlemen
Wow, I've been doing it wrong for so long. Now, I finally know why it's always looked bad and can make it look good. Thanks, RMRS!
Wow. You've taken the art of video to a new level with this one, Antonio & Co!
+Eeriewolf :)
The new style is clean, straightforward and concise. Much enjoyed! and glad to see you trying out new things Antonio!
+Shaban Ali Thanks for the feedback!
Agreed.
You have too much time on your hands...boring fud
I'm happy for this video. I've been doing the bunny ears style my whole life and yes, the results were not as clean as I would like to admit. So, once again, thank you very much.
PS: love the high quality production, it looks highly professional.
Nice video! It's important to use nice shoelaces too!
The problem why i looked up and this video majorly focused on that problem. Love it!❤
Great video, Antonio! I learnt something new today
+Jarvis Morris Thank you, sir! :)
I learned about this originally on Gentleman's Gazette, where they had a great lacing guide, where previously I had used the two loops knot for the past 33 years I been tying my shoes and didn't even bother doing the granny knot. However I do like how this knot lays perpendicular and looks great with my dress shoes.
Now it still takes me a couple of seconds more to tie my shoes, but I am of the opinion if those two seconds are too long, something far more important is going on than having crooked laces. The only problem is now that I get sad when I am wearing my loafers since I have no laces to tie.
Great and unique video, good job!
+FitMan Dan Super! Thanks.
Hey what’s up, Marine! 😎 I came across this vid when searching on how to straight-lace dress shoes. You and your channel have come a long way in seven years, bro! 😄 Keep up the real style for us real men! All the best! 🤟🏻
Antonio, the new video style is GREAT! It is especially good for those of us who are "visual" learners. A great topic for this style would be, "How to Iron a Shirt." Keep up the good work!
I saw this on the Gentleman"s Gazette except that Sven wrapped the second lace around his thumb twice. I have been using that method since and I have never had my laces come undone and it looks better. I use the double wrap method on all my laces now from my oxfords to my work boots and like I said they never come undone.
Great tip! Thanks so much!
Man this is the most worthy how to of all time! I've been wondering about it for decades
+Nayuk2010 I'm glad it helped - What else do you want to see from my channel?
Took a me a while to think this. Could you do a video about posturing? Office sitting down posturing and standing/walking posturing? Or did you already make one already? Thanks!
So simple, yet so brilliant!
Thanks!! This really helped tremendously
Thank you for sharing this
Thank you so much for this knowledge... Really satisfying with this style... Really appreciate it 👍👍👍👍
Love the detailed shots Antonio! This is a lot more understandable than the regular format :D
+Fx Dio (Siegfrost) Thanks!
+Real Men Real Style hey man if you can do the same video again but this time put the camera afront your shoes so we see how it works . thx for this awsome videos bro
Makes total sense... Thanks!
these small and silly videos are worth watching.
made my days.
thanks a lot.
Nice and easy thanks !
Awesome! Perfectly what I needed! Actually I was trying to tie beautiful laces on a package, and it also solves my issue with shoe laces. (I used to hide them inside the shoes for that reason)
My whole life I've been tying them wrong and I'm 43. This video definitely made my day. Thank you.
Just got my first AE Strands and clicked on this video not knowing you'd be demonstrating with AE Strands. Perfect!
You are making excellent educational videos! Keep up with your great work! You rock at it, Antonio ☺!
Thank you!
Thank you Antonio.
Would have never thought twice about this but have to say this is a great tip!
RMRS is getting better and better!
+Invasion Stripe Thanks! I get the ideas from you guys.
So fresh and modern! Personally I use a hidden knot to hide my knot and laces. I like the slik look of it.
Love this style, quick, simple and straight to the point.
+That Norwegian Dude Super! I appreciate the feedback.
thanks for a guide sir
Mind blow, that one simple detail can make a difference like that.
+Steven L :)
nice one Antonio love your videos
wow this video has changed my life- if only you knew the number of times in a day I had to retie my shoe laces and walk around with such an awkward knot -_- Not knowing that my problem was that my left lace was always ocer my right one in the first knot haha. You sir, have won yourself a new subscriber!!!
I'm 31. Been trying my shoes wrong for ever and never knew how to fix it! Thank you so much!
+Paul The Dog Trainer Ha! Learn something new daily! :)

Finally a video that isn't 20 minutes plus in length, thanks
I absolutely love the new video format!
+Daniyal Bhat (Danny) Great to hear - thank you!
For some reason I have always been tying my shoes the way you suggested. I was relieved to know I don't have to relearn this 2nd nature task.
As silly as this may seem, this was a life changing video for me. Thank you
Love the new video format!
Thank you
Gentleman's Gazette had a good tip that may enhance this. He had a way to double knot that avoids the big bulky knot. On the step when you wrap the lace around the loop, he does it twice instead of once around it. This makes it much stronger and avoids the knot coming loose. I haven't tried this way and I look forward to doing it. Thanks Antonio for the tip.
This is why I follow all your videos, Every video gets better and better, and it always hits the bull's eye (it does justice to the caption)!!!
Thanks for opening my eyes... salutations
+Mohd Sajid Umar Hey Mohd! Thank you

Can you do a guide how to tie leather laces? I recently bought new boat shoes, and I am not sure if they need to have a special tie.

love the new style!
+Daniel Chu Cool! Thanks
Love this new style of video!
+Eliran Sobel Thanks Eliran :)
I've known this problem for a long time but I couldn't understand why it was the complete opposite for me in this video, then you explained at the end about the first knot and that's when I realised I must go left over right when doing that. Great video.
+Josh Barnes Exactly! Glad it helped Josh.
Love the new format
+Daniel Fok Super!
Thanks buddy
Your completed knot (with loops) forms a reef, also called a flat knot, as you will probably know from your time in the Marines. I also like to 'match up' the ends with the loops, so that they are all the same length; if I ended up with the loops as large as the ones in this video I might consider looking for shorter laces, as they seem excessively large for the shoe.
I like this style of video. It keeps things a bit more entertaining while still giving the necessary information. I found that it drew me in a bit more without giving room for other distractions.
+Jonathan Cleveland Solid comment!
Great video ! Nice to see you improving your videos.
About tying you laces I prefer using Ian's Knot. its easier and faster and at the same time it will wear a lot less your laces.
Thanks for the video, Antonio! I liked the way you presented this detail that most of us overlook and would be great for that "perfectionist" in all of us :) I remember seeing a "Life Hack" TED talk on this but, I knew you'd cover this topic eventually, haha!
Nice shoes and nice video, what brand are the shoes?
The new video style is awesome, looks professional and clean
+Jeremy Kyle Thanks Jeremy :)
Wow. I love this video style. It feels like it has a lot more production value and the visual aid definitely helps.
