How infectiously fun was this night? In my 40s, so I know the Disney Afternoon block so well, a whole bunch of the ‘newer’ animated shows and a peripheral knowledge of the live action shows, but I had so much fun watching this video and the excitement of seeing those people who grew up with HSM it’s pure JOY. Love it.
Gosh, I got every single one of those show and movie references and knew all the songs. Just a sign that those people dressing up and screaming are my people.
FreshBaked. David, Liz, You 2 started the night like you were still sober, when everyone else had been partying for the last 2 hours. But it did'nt take that long for you both to catch up. Great food, great crowd, great vibe. The energy of the night just poured out of the screen. Liz should have her own singing segment in every FreshBaked video, she's that good. A great job all round. I’m past 60 years old and love the Disney channel. My kids went through all the stages of the Disney channel from the Winnie the Pooh characters to Phineas and Ferb to high School Musical, Cheetah girls, etc. Too many to name. We loved them all. Thank you David and Liz for going to and filming this event because I could never make it due to health problems. (I’m now on dialysis). Loved this video. Love you two! Love Fresh Baked!❤️❤️❤️

Historically, these sweet breads were generally reserved for festive occasions such as Easter. Served with Linguica.on Easter morning in our family. Hawaii was one of the few places with Azorean immigrant concentrations. Evidently McDonalds in Hawaii serves Linguica (Portuguese Sausage) and King's Sweet Bread (Massa Sovada).

I would always cook'em a tad too hot so the mashed potatoes would get browned edges! The dish from the Veranda you guys had was giving me flashbacks galore! I was even tasting the gravy and meatballs! Amazing! The singing and dancing were totally professional and I was singing and dancing in front of my computer! Muah FreshBaked! Made my night!
A lot of these shows I watched growing up. That's so crazy, like the only thing I don't get is Zombies and Descendants, which were a few years past my time.
40:25 - Ron is very much not in the friend zone! He was just her friend in the beginning but in the movie they got together if I remember correctly, and that continued into the final season.
I remember when they were invented too. Because the tray was made of foil, we had those bake them in the oven. Then we learned if you took off the top cover of foil and put the tray back in the box, you could microwave it safely. Eventually cardboard trays were invented. My favorite tv dinner was Salisbury steak.

This was a lot of fun to watch as an older millennial who grew up going to the Disney parks (coming from Hawai'i) but watched virtually no Disney Channel shows. Linguica pronounced Lyn-gwee-suh is a tasty Portuguese sausage popular in Hawai'i due to the large Portuguese immigrant influence that came there to work the sugar plantations in the 19th and 20th centuries. Disney, obviously using the Hawaiian influence of Johnny Tsunami, chose Hawai'i inspired flavors for that item. Thanks for the fun and entertaining content, as always!
From looking around it seems the tickets to these nights are around 130.00 (not sure if this one was that but other nights are about that) and other than a few shows and good food all they have is cut outs and character dress ups. I am not sure why Disney didn't treat this like a comic con and have actors return for a meet and great. I am not sure what you get for a few hours in the park is worth that kind of price.
this was THE smartest event Disneyland has put on. Maybe period. The early-mid 2000’s era of Disney channel programming is unmatched, and I had THE MOST FUN randomly bonding with people just out of sheer joy and nostalgia. Singing along to tv show theme songs, and seeing the amazing cosplays/bounds… it was a night I didn’t know I needed.

I had no idea you were from the Central Valley! And you don’t know this? You can get the Best Linguica (ling wee-saaa) from Lockeforde Meat Company near Lodi, CA or Fagundes Meats in Manteca, CA. I had a really hard time finding it when I lived in So Cal for a couple years.

The person who came up with Disney Channel night deserve raise. it’s one of those things that was probably cheap to put together and still work. so many generations can relate to the Disney channels as well, and it’s also the generations that will 100% use social media during the event, that being said, even though it was cheap to produce most likely relatively speaking, that is they need to also do it right because the Disney Channel generation would’ve absolutely destroyed them on social media if they didn’t, I also haven’t seen so many Disney related post, then the night and the couple days following this event in a very long time. I wish I could’ve gone.

I watched a ton of Disney Channel from about 1989-1993….Mickey Mouse Club, Under the Umbrella Tree, Kids Incorporated. Where was that stuff? It’s like Disney forgot the Channel existed before 1998. But even if you were a huge Disney Channel fan in the early 2000’s I can’t believe people thought this was actually worth the money! One float with two people on it? Zero people or characters on Tom Sawyers Island? The Columbia goes by in the background for some sort of effect but it’s empty!? And where are the stars from the films? Surely they could’ve had at least a few of the actors on that balcony in New Orleans Square…I saw John Stamos up there last Summer one day and people loved it.
Surprised there wasn't a firework show either. Idk if it got rained out but 90s night, sweethearts night, and star wars night all had unique firework sequences.
The vibe of that night feels like a bunch of adults re-living their Highschool Graduation Disney night lol. Looked super fun and high energy!
I think I'd appreciate grad night at 40 way more than I did at 17!
