Protein has to get digested you know, it reaches your muscles about 1-2 days after eating it.
This is absolutely true, many are misunderstood that only eating more protein after workout 😅
(The carbs oatmeal) + (fructose carbs) are more important after a workout

I am increasing my daily protein to 0.5 to 0.75 g per kg of body weight. My ortho surgeon directed this to start soon after a total hip replacement I’m getting tomorrow.

I drink mine for breakfast about 30 minutes before my workout. I can tell the difference in strength and endurance. That might be because I workout for about 2 hours though.

Hello, can i drink protein shakes if I don't really do intense workout daily? I workout from home and usually do body weight and cardio. I have 5lbs dumbbells that i use sometimes. Basically, my workout intensity is somewhere in moderate.
Ok so I’ve been told we should consume 1g of protein per pound we weigh but I’m a beginner (7 weeks in working out 6 days a week) and a lot of my weight is fat. Should I really consume 215 grams of protein per day?

So if I drink my protein shake every morning, and then exercise at the after noon and at night, the protein shake I drank earlier in the morning will still help with the post-workout recovery?
Increasing total protein intake will help, but it is still best to eat 3-4 meals a day with at least 25-30g of protein (found in a scoop of protein powder, 100g of chicken, fish, beef etc) per meal to signal the muscles to repair and grow.

There’s no benefit to taking creatine right before a workout, you can take at any time of day. In my case my pre already has creatine and doubling up usually causes a stomachache, so I just wait til after my workout when the pre is worn off and I can mix It into the water I’m already consuming

A pre-workout is different to a protein shake. Pre-workouts are ergogenic aids that help make exercise easier, the best examples being caffeine and creatine.
If you spread your protein intake out evenly across all your meals (eg you get 30g of protein 3 or 4 times a day) and are getting this amount of protein from whole foods then you may not need a protein powder. Powders are just a convenient way to add protein for some people.

I get what you mean. Thing is the quantity of protein consumed in the day is 99% and 1% is the timing of the protein. Most don't do either, so if you only have bandwidth to do one, do the quantity.

Yes, but there isn't much point or need to do so if you are eating sufficient protein throughout the day. It is also not ideal for the body to have to digest food during a workout since blood flow is prioritised to the extremities during exercise rather than to digestion, so some people can end up with digestive issues. Intra without carbohydrate would be more preferable as an instant energy source but really only for extended duration exercise over 90 minutes.
If I’m trying to lose weight should be taking whey protein?
It personally helped me when I was consistently working out. There was a period I was taking protein without really putting a lot of work into it and just got fat again. As long as you work out consistently you can. Important note make sure not to abuse it.
your goal should be losing fat not muscle. keep your protein high, about .7 grams of protein per pound of body weight if you are natural. and dont stop working out. count your calories if you have a goal in mind.

This will be dependent on your goals and age. The RDI is 0.8g/kg of body weight. For fat loss, 2-3g/kg of goal body weight. For maintenance, 1-1.5g/kg of body weight is sufficient.

If the higher protein intake makes you feel full enough to get you into a calorie deficit in other areas of your diet then, yes possibly, but this does require that you listen to your body around hunger and fullness cues.
