Nice, i`ve been doing tile installation for over 5 years and its first time that I seen this method. Thanks brother!

Thank you and good luck!!
Thank you for the great videos. Also, your website is extremely helpful. I feel a lot more confident I can do a great job on my bathroom now.

+Jr Barthol glad to hear that!
your videos are so helpful. It's awesome learning from the best. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Courtney!!
Dude your the only on that's shows these trick! Thanks bro!
Creating a walkin shower, your info videos are a great help, thanks
Thx Frank!
I have the same issue with my shower walls where my backerboard is lower than the adjoining drywall. I didn't think to use a notched trowel when applying my first coat of thinset and then apply a 2nd coat using a flat trowel. Thanks for the advise!
Good videos, thanks. Most gloss over the prep work or are so shaky and poor quality they are unwatchable. Your videos are a big help on my bath remodel.
Thanks and glad to help Rick!
I am waterproofing the seams now, I watched your video first and it was really helpful! On the video you mentioned using the roller next. Did you mean rolling the hydro ban in the whole shower?
Thank you! Yes I paint the membrane in the entire shower.
So can I use cement to joint cement board to drywall or I have to buy some special adhesive/mud to do it?
Yes you can and no you do not.
can I tile over a semi-gloss painted wall ? If not, what do I need to do to keep the tiles on the wall?
Yes you can!
I know this is an old video, however, I have noticed I have lippage between my kerdi board and drywall. I am off by maybe 1/8 of an inch as I apparently didn’t apply enough thinset during the wet shim process. Can I use this same method over kerdi board with all set?
Sure you can do that
Hi brother, I have one question:
Is it possible to use thinset to level concrete floor as preperaruon for tiles? We don't get the self levelling cement product in India where I live so I need to find a good alternative method
Yes thinset is just fine to use.
What do you do if you have to much build up? Are you able to sand it down?
You can. Or you can grind it off but, it will be dusty.
How do you smooth the seems where you put the thin set? How flat do The seems need to be?
+Oracle Business Intelligence I use the flat side of a trowel or a taping knife. Just don't cause a hump.
What kind of tinset did you use
What cement did you use to level the wall
Just a thinset
What kind of thin set are you using to level? I'm confused about whether to use non modified or modified .. ?
Modified
@@SoThatsHowYouDoThat thank you!
Hi, is the goal to “flatten walls” and make them completely level? Or just flatten any dips or humps?
Flatten them but where the tile ends you will want that to be level for the best visual.
Wish I knew what
Type Of Waterproof you Use.
+Jr Barthol I use hydroban
Wat kind for thinset do u use on cement board joints
Use a modified thinset. (it has latex in it)
oh man, im late to the party. i just went to his facebook page and there hasnt been in videos in over a year
why do you put backerboard 2 inches inside of tile?
So then the sheetrock can be finished at that area and be ready to receive paint. If you want to extend it go right ahead.
So why did you put a bunch of mud on only one wall?
Because that wall needed the most prep.
Day 32... still fixing cement board walls.
any way to send you where I am to get info ?
Yeah on my website
