The really scary thing is, these ridiculous errors can cost a team getting the title or worse relegated. Saying sorry and taking the officials off the next games does nothing other than the officials get a week off, meanwhile teams get shafted week in week out. 7 games in and I'm already dreading the rest of the season

Nice to see a former Ref debunking the excuse they came up with. As if no-one in that room knew it had been given offside, they are told! It's simple bias at best or corruption at worst
It's confirmation bias. They are trying to be neutral in their management of the game, but the human in them prefers a certain outcome, and you can hear how they jump to confirming that outcome. Corruption . They knew what they was doing .
Tottenham players not booked for requesting yellow cards which is a mandatory bookable offence.
The offside goal.
The way VAR was used to swing a 50/50 red card to a certain red card.
The first yellow that Jota got which is an error.
Robertson getting a yellow card for being the least aggressive more ball focused player in a 50/50 challenge.
Liverpool not getting goal kicks and losing corner kicks.
Liverpool winning a corner and the referee blowing it back for a midfield free kick for liverpool.
The whole thing was so strange and so funny.
Reminded me of when I read the autobiographies of the Leeds European cup final

It’s no coincidence that Liverpool receive TWO dubious red cards AND a perfectly good goal disallowed just hours after Man City lost …..

When does a var error cease to be an error? When you call it for what it is in reality, 'match fixing.
Are they going to implement a 1-all draw and offer restitution to LFC? Or, are they going to schedule a replay? Because "sorry" isn't good enough anymore.
It has now been reported by the Sunday Times that both VAR officials were in UAE less than 48 hours before the game, the country of Man City owners and on a weekend Man City lose they made the worst ever VAR decisions to hurt Man City’s biggest rival for the title. This is not incompetence, this is match fixing and corruption.
If that is correct then sacking is required. That wasn't a mistake, that was corruption. Line being drawn is the process, the mitigated it.

I think this 'story' that they thought the onfield decision was onside is nothing more than just that. Because the truth is that they simply didn't check it, for whatever reason, and they think this somehow makes them look less incompetent.
Mark Hasley standing against the errors from yesterday's game is interesting to hear. Question is would he have come out to speak in this manner were he still a referee?

@@ninjashrimpgaming2657
On what interpretation of what rule?
Bin VAR. The ref got the first call correct by giving Jones a yellow. His foot made contact with the ball and then slowly rolled over the top of it and onto the leg. It wasn't dangerous nor was there any intent. A still frame and also slow motion removes all this context and makes it look much worse. VAR increases mistakes not lessens them.
It was matchfixing. It's clear as day.
I was in a pub with 500 people 5 pints deep and i could see it was onside without the line. Madness
As an Aussie, I'm so happy for Ange getting a crack at the premier league and the style he is implementing with Spurs. But as a lifelong Liverpool fan, I'm still struggling to get over this.. I put a hole in the wall like a lunatic after they got this decision so horribly wrong. I don't understand how hard this is? Forget the professionals, get someone who is actually competent. You know exactly what I mean with people who are tech savvy or not.. simple as, you can be a professional referee all you want.. if you are still struggling to operate a PC or peripherals of any kind.. it will never work. What a lame excuse that they didn't notice the flag get raised? or assumed it was a goal as judged by the on field referee's, are they not watching the game? wtf..

This match was the match of the season so far and watched by millions all over the world. The bozos managed to screw up a decision that those millions including myself could plainly see that it wasn’t offside. Our referees and VAR operators look like chumps and are a laughing stock.
These VAR decisions, which go so horribly wrong, are unforgivable!
They can affect to the final positions of the teams and they diminish the reputation and integrity of the Premier League world wide!
Its clear someone wanted Liverpool to lose yesterday and they did everything in their power to make it happen.
Yes, Man City's owners who were hosting Darren England 48hrs earlier...
No way were they really.
I am a Liverpool fan and have no complaint with the result in general due to the reds excellent performance. However, it now seems to be something that needs looking into as regards criminal activity as a child could have called that goal onside. So it's not a case of just getting it wrong, it's a case of why is he getting it wrong and then why are his assistants getting it wrong. Spurs won the match because Liverpool faced a brick wall right from the get-go.
I have to say that as a Spurs fan, I was gutted for Matip. Thought he was MoM. Moreover, Liverpool were absolutely outstanding and displayed one of the most resilient mental displays I think I've ever witnessed...and with 10-men still looked like the team who were more likely to win. I hope we learnt alot from your boys in the game because after the VAR incident, I felt embarrassed and awkward. We definitely did not deserve, nor look like we were ever going to get 3 pts from that match! That's not to say we played badly, it's just that Liverpool were that good.
They need to release the audio of the incident for full transparency. Nothing else will do at this point.
That incorrect offside could in theory cost Liverpool over £100 million. Stranger things have happened in the past.
Every week, there’s something. Then there’s a half hearted apology and then it happens again. So what now? liverpool could have been top of the table. Or a draw would put them one point behind City. They’ve lost the league multiple times by one point. These things matter. Not only that but Salah has now unjustly broken his streak of goal contributions. Should be on 13 games in a row and for an athlete Ike him, that matters. He also gets bonuses for stuff like that so there’s financial implications.
Wolves lost out on a point in the first week. That could have implications down the other end of the table.
Enough is enough. Time for a complete overhaul of the incompetent PGMOL.
What will help this situation is if they release the audio!.. Webb joined Neville & carragher to show clips with audio of how the ref & var team communicate with each other on decisions. It was very clear with no chance of of any misunderstanding as to what the decision should be during these example clips. So I can’t believe for a second now that all that was said is “we’re just checking now Simon, check complete” utter bo**ocks! This needs investigation from the authorities. Definitely suspicion of match fixing going on here. To not even show the lines on tv, just a quick check… the red card for Jones, I’ve never seen the var team to call the ref over to the screen an be greeted with a still image of the worst possible picture of a challenge on screen for the ref to view an leave that on for a few seconds before showing the clip, obviously that’s going to influence the ref!…then the challenge on Gomez from vdv as well. When even Neville thought it could be a pen and that was a quick answer of no pen when it looked like he made zero contact with the ball. Too many things went on that doesn’t stack up! Seems like corruption! Aka match fixing. Release the audio and that’ll clear things up
What are they doing if they aren't noticing the refs flag (which was shown on TV) or Diaz's lack of celebration or the ball being booted back to the freekick area? Don't forget to adjust for the calls they get that they don't deserve.
Liverpool have had enough decisions go their way. About time one went against them
All of this focus on the offside call serves Hooper very well, as it masks all of the corrupt calls/no-calls he made all night. The knee-to-knee contact which should have been a penalty for LFC, which wasnt. The hand to Endo's face which should have been a red card to Udogie. Udogie asking for Jota to be booked when he was already on a booking himself. I believe it was Diaz who was the victim of a high-ankle tackle himself but there was no foul or card given.
It's clear LFC and Klopp are continuing to be punished for Klopp's outburst last season. The agenda against LFC is very real. Proven by stats, and common sense.
Its not only that dissallowed goal, how did they react quick for Jones red card? what about Salah yellow? Jota 1st yellow? Image of VAR for Jones red card? Flase Corner for spurs? Spurs player demanding and showing for a card not getting punished? sooo many things. thi cant be just a mistake.
VAR is not the problem. The technology is there to help and assist match officials to make the correct decisions. The problem is the people who then make the decisions after viewing VAR.
Certain people on this channel also need to be called out. They like to add fuel to the fire and certainly did that last season after Klopp showed a bit of emotion towards the fourth official v Spurs. Two people in particular who'll be on here tomorrow and I guarantee you they'll try to put some sort of spin on it to blame Liverpool. A stonewall penalty against Chelsea denied. Four red cards with only seven games played not to mention Diaz disallowed goal. All this with only seven games played. Corruption of the highest order. Can we please have some accountability to match officials!!!!
VAR is the problem. Humans are the system and VAR is only a tool of the system. VAR does not run on it's own without humans. IFAB have changed, clarified, Laws of the Game because of humans and VAR. And still there are errors week on week. PGMOL should be under much more scrutiny to get things correct. If not, then changes should be made within PGMOL. Otherwise, error after error will continue.

Unbelievable.
I thought VAR wasn't supposed to re-ref the game. By showing a still of the Jones tackle they are influencing the refs decision instead of recommending him to look at it again as I understood was the case
Astonished by the excuse (explanation) in the aftermath from the VAR refs who were thinking at the time of decision that was the GOAL. But obviously it was showed on TV "checking the disallowed goal" and finally ruled no GOAL, and worst still , surprisingly without reversing that wrong decision of the verdict from the VAR refs immediately.

The Football Association had approved the trip and the trio arrived in London on Friday to prepare for Saturday's game."
When will they release the audio on that decision?
The screen in the stadium said “Checking disallowed goal - Offside”! The VAR KNEW the on-field decision was “offside” or they wouldn’t have put that up on the screen!
Error or match fixing ?
It's clear and obvious
West Ham at Luton was a diabolical one. The camera showing the West Ham player supposedly offside was 30 yards behind the play - the angle was ridiculous!
I agree, but this Liverpool, so the media have to go crazy about it.
these VAR officials apparently do not check the scores to understand that the number on the screen had to change from 1 to 2 for liverpool, its baffling
Released the audio to show transparency - no chance!!
They'll never admit the actual reason for this ridiculous decision.
It's shocking to think all these pundits never question the integrity of referees. I'm convinced the officials here are among the most corrupt on the planet.
What a BS explanation by the people responsible for this mess. How could they be saying the VAR Refs thought the goal had been given? It's not as if the Liverpool players were celebrating and the ball was at the Centre circle for Tottenham to restart after conceding a goal. The ball was placed for a free kick to be taken by Tottenham (offside against Liverpool) while everybody stood still expecting the verdict from the VAR check
VAR is ruining/killing the thrill of the game.
For teams, for players but most of all for fans.
Corruption can and does happen, and to rule it out without a true investigation is merely enabling it.
Offside lines for Luis Dias goal is just Scottish VAR at its finest.
"Checking Disallowed Goal - Offside" was posted on-screen by VAR during the brief review of the Diaz goal - this kills the argument that the VAR crew misunderstood the on-field call.
It only brings into question how many other onside decisions were claimed as offside by the officials in var. I’ve lost complete confidence in the process.
Whether a ball has crossed the line (Goal Line Technology) AND whether someone is offside - there is no subjectivity in these - its either over the line (or not) OR your offside or not. These are straight forward simple decisions.
The other decisions (e.g. such as Curtis Jones') red card are subjective as arguments for both a red card and not a red card can be made, and both are valid. As a football fan, these are acceptable either way they go, but the ones that have no subjectivity should be right 100% of the time.

This game needs to be replayed or LFC awarded the goal retroactively. If a human can make an error, a human can also intervene and rectify the mistake.
Once the ref realised the goal wasn't given he should of adressd it he just ignored it!
WE need a REPLAY!!! This is injustice
Seems like there might be corruption in the game
And the story is now becoming solely about the offside goal now, which should be a huuuuge focus but there should still be a huge light shone on the standard of the whole team of officials yesterday for a litany of bad calls
We need to hear the audio of this incident.. Something smells very rotten here. There's wide script corruption going on
How come no one is mentioning the first yellow card for Jota? That was a clear mistake by the ref that should have been overulled by VAR. The video footage showed quite clearly that the Tottenham player tripped himself up!
And the player he fouled branding a fake yellow should have got himself booked a second time.
Unfortunately the shite rules is that VAR cannot intervene for yellow cards. It’s absurd!
We seen that red card given. I think it was Casemiro last year same red card.
That was match fixing...it wasn't a mistake
@kennydalglish1405 if you think it was a mistake...please explain the mistake process to me!
just like liVARpool's matches in the past 😂
As a lifelong Spurs supporter I really feel for Liverpool.
We know exactly how it feels when match officials botch things up!
I’m hoping it doesn’t end up affecting your position in the table in the end, and hope things balance by the end as well….
fair play, but this is far more sinister than botching a few things up.
Respect bro 💯 as a Liverpool fan I was most gutted because it overshadowed what was a fantastic game! Brilliant energy and pace. We would have had a great almighty battle had the refs not got involved
@@davidmildon3278"as a Liverpool fan" ??? 🤣🤣🤦
@@perrrrydon't feel sorry for them mate they didn't feel sorry for us last season when Jota should have been sent off and wasn't and then went on to score the winner it's karma.justice finally served
@@regod4772that’s a totally different argument the Jota one last season. This was a blatant error where a VAR official thought the goal had been given so just said check complete. Surely the words “That is onside award the goal”. It’s complete incompetence by the officials not VAR!
are the vertical lines from the shoulder downwards still applicable this season..??
Embarrassing
What I want to add is that Liverpool should be awarded that goal after the end of the game, so it's a "2 - 2" draw. It's a big error and Liverpool should deserve a compensation. By the way, I am an Arsenal fan and we were robbed for a similar incident last season when the video ref failed to draw the line and ruled us offside. The English referees are a joke.
They never showed the lines, because they were to embarrassed.
Can't wait for them to release the audio....
There is nothing wrong with the technology it works perfectly well in Cricket and Rugby. The difference is that we are able to hear the decision making process in these other sports and it is transparent. Yesterdays decisions were totally incompetent and scandalous. There is too much at stake for the clubs to be unfairly penalised by incompetent officialdom. Solution. Put all the audio of the decision making process into the public domain. If the officials know they are under public scrutiny they will be more careful to reach the correct conclusions. Mike then up!!!
All those going on about VAR, remember the on field decision was offside. So even without VAR, the wrong decision would’ve been taken. So if you’re saying remove VAR, in this instance, it wouldn’t have made any difference. The way forward is improving VAR officiating. It’s very poor atm
Good point. However, more often than not officials are more often than not ruling out goals/pens etc because they think VAR will over-rule them if they get it wrong.
Can someone explain WHY when the Jones decision was being adjudicated on the pitch the referee was exposed to a still frame of Jones' foot on the opponent's leg BEFORE the slow motion replay of the full incident? Outrageous.
Going forward, if the report is to be believed, then the VAR shouldn't just say,"check complete", they must add what the correct decision is.
If the linesman was speaking, did they have a glitch that made them not hear?
And didn't they see what happened after their call? That was the moment to ask the ref to stop the game and explain what was going on.
So many lapses in this wrong decision that it will be a disaster to ever happen again.
It was only the 'goal' that was a poor decision - the others were understandable. Spurs have had two or three awful refs already this season but I don't remember a massive media outcry over those.
The first yellow for jota was ridiculous too
@@adamscott6719BS!! LiVARpool deserved this .. Poetic justice😂
@@eL--RaL don’t kid yourself 😂
@@adamscott6719I wouldn't say it was ridiculous. In any case, having already been booked, what was he thinking when he lunged in on Udogie?
@@tc-ou2zb in my opinion the first yellow for jota was ridiculous, it was stupid of him to dive in like he did for the second yellow for sure
Give Liverpool the point. 2-2 draw. Each team gets 1 point. Done.
You got beat get over it.
Just remember Erik ten hag called them out from not using correct angles and not draeing lines.
We need absolute full transparency with what went on in that VAR room with audio and video footage coming out because it smells of bias
