- Join me for a walk around the centre of the windswept fishing town of Eyemouth, located just two miles north of the English border. Originally settled by fishermen supplying nearby Coldingham Priory, this town went from small haven to military station, smuggler's paradise and then a major fishing centre over its history.
On our walk around Eyemouth, we pass a number of interesting landmarks, including the Auld Kirk, Market Place, the statue of Willie Spears, Eyemouth Harbour, Eye Water, Eyemouth Hippodrome, The Contented Sole Pub, Gunsgreen House, Eyemouth Old Lifeboat Station, the North Sea, Great East Coast Fishing Disaster Memorial, Eyemouth War Memorial, Cockielaw, Eyemouth Old Cemetery, Eyemouth Disaster Memorial, The Home Arms Guest House and Eyemouth Beach.

Good evening! And thank you very much for tuning into this walk around the centre of Eyemouth, a captivating Scottish fishing town located just to the north of the English border :)
Given its position on the border, and in a relatively rural part of Scotland, Eyemouth's links are often closer with towns over the border in England. The nearest station is located in Berwick, and most buses out of the town run towards Berwick, as well as the A1 road which just passes by Eyemouth.
Just remember it’s in Scotland 🏴 lol you are not for nicking Eyemouth as well as Berwick. Those cannons might come back in use on those cliffs once again if you try !!!
Not been there since my kids were young. A lovely part of the UK.

Nice live walk of the town. I enjoyed it very beautiful and historical the medieval town is. Your history lessons are always great and your walks are always enjoyable. How is your week going? Mine is going great we have lots of snow in Canada. Have a great day greetings from Canada 😀
Very cozy town and beautiful architecture! Thanks for sharing!
Brings back many memories ,as a family we stayed at Gunsgreen when it was a boarding house in the late 50’s, in July every year and when the Herring Queen was crowned, I could tell many a story about the house on the harbour, I went there when I was 7 years old am now 72 years old, thank you for bringing this story back to me.
So many changes. So many fond memories. Thank.
Thanks for posting. Love visiting this wee town every year I come down to Dunbar with my touring caravan. Great memories.
I'm glad to hear it! It's a captivating little town that I thoroughly enjoyed visiting - those caravan tours do sound nice along the coast from Dunbar too :)
Thank you very much for watching - I'm glad this video brought back some good memories!
Worth a visit to see that lovely memorial to the dead fishermen.
Well done very well presented.
We visit there a lot in the summer.
The coastal path is a lovely walk
I am very glad I watched your video, it is very nice to watch.
Ahhh, yes, I can imagine those Scott’s smuggling their whiskey😉
nice walk 🦋🦋🦋 beautiful 🦋🦋🦋
Also recommended: the cliff-top walk from Eyemouth to St Abbs village and lighthouse. But beware of Loch Mire, it doesn't look like much on the map and yet its unique topography makes it one of those locations that can hold you spellbound.
Fabulous
nice video.
I'm your fan.
We have stayed in eyemouth caravan site it's great to stay in if you like a quieter sort of break failing that there is not a lot to see apart from watching the seals in the harbour.
