Brilliant video! Scotland in such a beautiful light. I played a round today in Northern Arizona, and every time I stopped to hit a shot, I felt deeply compelled to say out loud, "Alright Golf Mates." And I kept looking for Mr. Barlow. I think I need to limit the number of these videos I watch...

Red lion rentals also I love Scotland only after being there once. In1999. Stayed at the Rusacks hotel in St Andrews then on to Carnoustie. I didn’t golf back then due to back injury,but have been involved in golf all my life. I’m a golf addict and do play now. Can’t wait to take my wife over from USA. The castle’s are amazing! We both love seeing anything so old! Even the walls around the courses. Thank you for filming this beauty 👍🏻⛳️

Just a slight correction. The Glen is not a municipal course in the true sense. The land is owned by East Lothian Council, but the club is run and operated by the members as a private members club. For example the clubhouse which was built in 2005 was built and is owned by the members, and the green staff are employed by the membership, unlike a municipal course. A number of courses in East Lothian are operated this way.

I can confirm that it's not always sunny in Scotland and it's more often than not windy. I'd love Scotland to be in the med 🤣, loving this mini series as it's I my neck of the woods.

Played this course today on your recommendation. Got out early to beat the Veterans competition. Loved it - and played probably the best golf of my life on it. 10 net birdies and a net eagle to finish. Ridiculous price for the experience - courses up the road charging 4 times as much. First hole is such a challenge. Got a gross par 3 on the Point. I almost danced on the tee! Highly recommended

I don’t how you can say no one has heard of winter field golf club , it is a well established course which I had the pleasure of playing this course over a period of twenty years on our regular spring visits to East Lothian ,

It’s a brilliant part of the world for golf…so many great courses! Whilst some are very exclusive and hard to get on (Muirfiield for example) you just proved they aren’t all like that…well done 👍
Red Lion rentals. Stayed and played in Dunbar many years back, what a great course. Whitefield bay GC looks like another Scottish hidden gem. Kilspindie GC is another gem in that area!

Magical area of Eastern Scotland that is always overlooked ... Play at Dunbar, then go for a surf at Belhaven Bay. You will just keep coming back, time after time ! Great video 👍

Cracking vid... I’m from East Lothian living in Bucks for the last 25 years... and played Winterfield loads as a youngster, and The Glen into my later teens in county events etc.. loved seeing that, the coast road from Dunbar to Gullane is great, was on it only 4 weeks ago. Agree on The Glen it’s simply superb, and the value for money on Winterfield is unmatched.. played it early June. Looking forward to seeing which one of the Gullane courses your hitting !

Seagull and Penguin droppings! 🤣 The rock is famous for being the world's largest colony of Gannets.... Thanks for highlighting this course Liam...what a bargain at £19 for oldies.

Golfing in Scotland cannot be beaten! I have had many memorable golf holidays north of Hadrian's Wall. I know that you have filmed at the Boat of Garten, which is my favourite Highlands course. I have been as far north as Royal Dornoch - playing 36 holes in a day while carrying my bag; in a different week, we played St Andrews (all courses) and Carnoustie off the blue tees (36 holes in a day, carrying my bag); another week's holiday, we played Royal Troon, all Troon municipals, Turnberry, Kilmarnock Barassie and Old Prestwick; and many more other holidays than those!
A camper van for a week-end would get me to Dumfries and Galloway, where there are even more gems!
To help you learn a little about the UK. Hadrians wall is 50 miles from the Scottish border i.e. in Northumberland England
@@riptide9090 Thanks. I live in the UK. "North of Hadrian's Wall" is a form of poetic licence to refer to Scotland, known as Caledonia in Roman times.
Hadrian's Wall marked the boundary between Roman Britannia and unconquered Caledonia (the Latin name for Scotland) to the north. No one ever suggested that the wall was the boundary between England and Scotland, today. All of the places where I have golfed are north of Hadrian's Wall.
When commenting on a CZcams video, I am not giving a lesson in geography. I did not intend to be drawn into giving lessons in ancient history, either. Let it go!
A great advertisement for Scottish golfing Liam!! The weather gods turned it on for your visit. I could imagine these coastal links courses when the weather gets a little nasty........they would need reinforced flagsticks and you'd have to be wearing weighted golf shoes to remain upright!!
