I mean to be fair, my autistic ass didn't really make the connection he was lying until he said he was a "normal human". I just assumed he was neurodivergent and REALLY awkward.
I think Immortal knows that Shapesmith is a Martian. He is obviously lying, but Immortal doesn't immediately kick him out because he has the potential to be the next Martian Man. You can imagine that Martian Man was just the same when he first arrived on Earth, and Shapesmith probably reminds Immortal of his old friend, which is why he lets him stay.
Have you seen the current team, compare to the last guardians they're pretty weak, heck there strongest are immortal and Black Samson who are from the last team.
>Cecil: Lemee get this straight, there is an alien in the Guardian's HQ right now that is the same species as Martian Man and he...wants a job? >Immortal: He beat up the Lizard League. >Cecil: ...I like his enthusiasm give him a job. Better him then a Viltrimite
Right? He is so innocent and kind of naive. I want for him to retain his innocence but work on his naiveness so he doesn't become vulnerable or a liability to the team.
@@cond.oriano3264Yeah but that was because he was too naive and selfish back there. Well, I don't know if he is still selfish but he is still looks naive to think about the consequences of his actions.

I was already noticing certain Invincible characters seemed to be based on more well known characters. The Guardians of the Globe were obviously the Justice League, Rexplode is Gambit, Robot seemed to become Iron Man by the end of season one. Is Shapesmith supposed to be 60s Riddler?
Shapesmith is a combo of Martian Manhunter and Plastic Man, combined in a way that references both but makes him a more minor character. He loses Manhunter's telepathy (which could take down even Omni-man, because its a mental attack, not physical) and phasing (which was removed early because it can be abused easily, Green Ghost had to be taken by suprise), and loses Plastic Man's all around un-ending-ness. Shapesmith at least needs to remain in one piece, and that piece can be stabbed, burned, etc.
Their walking animations at 0:38 unironically look AI generated. Seriously, it looks like one of those AI tools where you raise the fps of an animation and it just adds strange looking smear frames in between.

Actually shapesmith was born as a human baby on plant earth so idk what you’re talking about
He did everyone did
I love the way the shapesmith is immediately like “I CAN TELL YOU” after Rudy points out that they don’t know anything about him.
I like how in season 1 there was tryouts for the Guardians of the Globe and in season 2 anyone who walks in gets on the team.
They really don't have much choices and can't be picky if they want to fight an army of viltrumites

@dantenadir2850 true and like half of them almost died so I guess that's part of it
@@shanerulez79yeah Plus Bulletproof was specifically recruited by Cecil since he’s kind of a powerhouse by earth standards

that punch after revealing his name was dirty asf. the guardians aint try to warn em or nun 😆
Shapesmith: how do you do fellow humans
Shapesmith really said “How do you do fellow humans😁”
Time to play the game where we bet on the exact moments every member of the Guardians realized he was an alien.
Rex still hasn’t realized it I bet
I'm guessing it was about the time he started talking

I know he's happy go lucky character I WOULD BE FRUSTRATED IF THEY KILLED SHAPESMITH OFF.
@@rolando90sthis is invincible, he’s definitely dying somewhere along the line, don’t know when but it’ll happen.
He is, but his entire intro reminded me of the OSP quote “What ho, fellow humans! Are you enjoying having skin today?” and it’s honestly pretty funny

Is Bulletproof wearing the suit that Mark tried on in Season 1?
Yes
I mean... Might as well not let it go to waste.
Can't blame a guy for trying to move unsold merchandise
Oh wow. No wonder it seemed so familiar.
Did they ever explain why Bulletproof could fly? I thought his powers were kinetic energy absorption and redirection?
I didn’t know sonic the hedgehog was the Shapsmith
