  • Best way to avoid dangerous animals strikes|| Electronic deer alert
I had the unfortunate incident of having a deer jump in front of me, twice! Yep, I have hit a deer twice and both times with the same car. Luckily, the 2nd time I spotted it in time to hit the brakes and slow down so the damage wasn't as bad as the first time when I never saw it.
After the 2nd deer hit I had the fortune of meeting a guy that owned a trucking company and I was telling him of my deer incident. He told me about the electric deer whistle which I had never heard of before. I learned from him that when they used thee on their company truck that deer hits declined by 93%! That's amazing. I've seen it for myself since installing them on some of my cars and before going on an upcoming road trip in my GR Corolla it deserved on too. These aren't a guarantee but I'll take the odds they he saw with his trucking company any day.
Funny thing was when I was installing it one of my neighbors stopped by and told me that the company that he worked for over several decades tried these too. Back around 2006 they put them on 50 of their 200 trucks and saw deer hits drop by 97%. That's right, 97%!!!!! He said they are fantastic. They installed them on the rest of the fleet and if they did have a deer hit it was something that became very rare over millions of miles that the trucks drove.
So help improve your odds and install one today. They are easy and simple to install and don't cost much at all at under $20.

I've never seen that one. Nicely done, no one would ever know. I'd probably buy a toggle switch that lites up so I know it's on. I LIKE the way u mounted on the passenger side being deer step out from your right most of the time. If it's from the left, u have time. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. 👍đŸ‡ș🇾
PS. What good are the old style when u have to fly down the road? I too live out in the "sticks" also & just see deer are roaming now. (had 2 + 1 further down the road).

Doesn't matter which side it's mounted on as the pitch of the sound is very broad and spreads out. You also don't need a lit switch because you can hear it when you slow down so you know it on. The old stick on type are worthless. This is a comment I got from a previous installation on my 2017 Corolla iM. I love when others see how amazing these work.

I pass through Mark Twain National Forest 4 times a day ,and before buying this alarm i was getting hit by deer running onto the road pretty regularly. I tried the whistles but they were very disappointing as in useless. Since installing this alert i noticed the herds dont move, and if they do they run back into the forest. I will post a video off my dashcam to illustrate just how effective this is. Im driving through at 5am so itll be quite obvious to anyone interested. Great video Man ,best 10 dollars i ever spent

@@somestuffithoughtyoumightl6985 That would be fun to see too. I know that they act differently as I see the difference on my trips too.
