Disagree. This looks terrible and boomer like. More like car issues. I don’t want videos in this format. The actual quality of the video is…bad too. Only 1080p and low quality? Tyler typically uploads in 4k.
This edit may be technically better than your ‘usual’ but I love your’usual’ style of videos Hoovie. I get a sense that you are a real person and that you are talking to us whereas I don’t get that feeling from the fancy style of videos. I will always support you though because you are the best!
I agree 100%. It doesn’t feel candid and genuine like his videos usually do. I come here for the personalities and the careless humorous content. The higher production value and background music somehow take away from that.
I never have liked the motor trend style footage. It's too reality TV like. Sometimes dizzying like watching The Office. The pans and zooms are ok at times but other scenes just give off a bad feel. Sorry if this sounds harsh, I went to school for photo and media so these things I get picky about. Yes that does contradict myself too by saying the basic selfie stick looks better, but its the platform and brand image we are so used to.
I've read some other comments that are saying that this might be recorded by the Car Ninja's guy, as the Car Ninja's videos are in this style. Guess we will see
I appreciate the increased production quality on this video, but it feels less hoovie than normal. I don’t know where the sweet spot is but one of my favorite things about your videos is the silliness and casual style! Excited to see where you take this though 😄
he was able to 'engineer' laughs and emphasize his relevance by doing silly camera work with a selfie stick. the new format proves he doesn't need any of those gimmicks to make good content.
This felt like a whole tv episode! I’m a BMW tech and I recently had to do some injectors on an E70 X5M (same generation) and this whole car is an absolute nightmare. Only 88k miles and every plastic in the entire engine bay cracked and shattered and doing injectors on this thing takes hours upon hours. The worst part is that as soon as it’s fixed, it’ll just break again some other way next week. Good luck with the repairs on this car!
I feel like a lot of times, it is the owners of the car and who they take it to. I have a 198k original engine e46 zhp, 15 x3 28d, 16 535d, and an e92 m3. I have owned e36s, e30s and nevery really had many problems. The biggest problem I have ever had was my disa valve broke and mulched my e90 330xi 6 spd engine. Super unlucky but the rest of them no problems. Never take mine to a dealership, take it to 2 bmw performance shops, all set
I liked the higher production quality but I do miss the more pov style from before. It gave the sense we were experiencing what Tyler was along with him and not simply watching from the outside. I think a good medium could be reached, but great so far!

Funny how big of a factor music choice seemed to be in making it feel like tv. The song during the ride really added an extra layer I never knew I missed from your videos
It’s always refreshing to see the car ninja look at these high dollar German cars. Most other mechanics would complain about how complicated everything is, but the ninja really understands these inside and out
Thanks Jonny for the info on vacuum leaks. I broke a plastic line on my intake while changing the filter and forgot about it. I wondered why my pedal feel armed weak lately. I'll grab some of my contact spray adhesive for plastics and fix it.

Gone are the days of Hoovie making videos with his Fisher Price PXL2000. Now the production quality has increased, to say, ummm, Wheeler Dealers circa 2012. Job Done!
I like the higher production value. I hope in future it will give you more time to think of new creative hooptie adventures and maybe develop some kind of casual dynamic with camera operator. Funny how big of a factor music choice seemed to be in making it feel like tv. The song during the ride really added an extra layer I never knew I missed from your videos
Ninja is never happy. He is SUPER happy. We should be more like Ninja.
I really liked the look of these, not sure why, but I always have.
"not sure why"
Same with me, it looks better the more you see it. It grows on you. It looks muscular
First gen X6's look the best.
i hate the new “tv look” direction hoovies going.
Your best video in months!
Funny, interesting car + Jonny
Production quality has gone up significantly. Love to see it Tyler!
Love hoovies videos! I do prefer the lower production videos...just saying, save the cash.
Hoovie, been following along for years. Really enjoy the channel. The production and general quality of this video is fantastic.
It’s always refreshing to see the car ninja look at these high dollar German cars. Most other mechanics would complain about how complicated everything is, but the ninja really understands these inside and out
The car ninja’s daily driver is a 2011 X5 which is basically the same car. I would expect him to know this one.
check out the BMW doctor, his knowledge is ridiculously impressive
I don't know if I just haven't been paying attention, but the video quality is awesome on this video! Looks like a TV show.
Car Ninja totally missed Hoovie's full extension joke @ 11:10. 😅😅😅
I relate with how shocked Hoovie is by the fact that his BMW isn't completely mechanically totalled.
Me too bro this old bmw i was preparing to feel financially as worthless as i am
Too much production love the hand held raw videos which makes it feel real
Thanks Jonny for the info on vacuum leaks. I broke a plastic line on my intake while changing the filter and forgot about it. I wondered why my pedal feel armed weak lately. I'll grab some of my contact spray adhesive for plastics and fix it.
replace the line or eventually it will likely break again. you're either screwing yourself or the next owner with adhesive.
@@ivanmaior8637 I screwed the next owner. Sold it a month ago and bought a loaded Grand Cherokee.
Hey Tyler. Please bring this thing to VanGo. I want to see if they can fix it up.
Btw love your video’s.
Greeting from the Netherlands.
Oh man! When you guys were hitting those bumps and bouncing around it made me laugh so much! Please keep going Hoovie!
I'm digging the new filming & editing style! Methinks you brought a cameraman?
The production quality on this video is FANFCKINTASTIC
I feel like this change in production quality is a hint at whatever is Hoovie's next chapter, that he still hasn't told us about, but that's okay. Probably NDAs and contracts and things. I hope anyway.
Now that's what you always want to hear from your mechanic (and hopefully it's from Jonny) when you take a "piece of work" in to get fixed. I'm actually "extending" well wishes for you on this one, Tyler.
If I had Johnny or the Wizard as a mechanic, I'd take their recommended advice and go with it.
I personally like the old filming style more, I love to watch from a POV standpoint instead of just watching two people talk in the distance
I feel like I'm watching a show on the History Channel with the boomer-esque country rock music playing in the background. The higher production quality is nice other than that bit.
Please bury this one Tyler.
Give it to Whistlin Diesel for a red-dead episode!
Deep, deep in the dirt.
