    I think you are one of the best watch reviewer on CZcams. Mentioning spring bar thickness and watch case cleaning and restoring techniques are quite a different level of evaluating a watch. Very impressive content indeed. Subscribed of course.

    When I discovered Heimdallr last year, I got a little bit too excited, and I ordered 3 watches from them.
    All 3 came with MULTIPLE defects/imperfections.
    One wasn't working at all - crown was making terrible sound when turned, and hands couldn't be moved at all - I suspect crown stem was broken or something like that.
    Heimdallr provided a free shipping label to send to some jewler (watchmaker?), it's still out "for service".
    Two other watches also had multiple problems, reqiring filing sharp edges and other issues.
    You always get what you pay for.

    • @TheWatcherReviews
      @TheWatcherReviews  Před 4 lety +1

      It's very strange usually Heimdallr are good with their QC and I haven't had many issues apart of bezel rotation on a 62mas. You're right thought, chinese watches are more prone to defects escaping due to the lack of stringent quality error which is a given due to the price.

      I am not giving up on chasing bargains))) 🤪
      Currently looking at a couple Seagull ST 1901 powered chronos. I don't like the "original" military dial, but there are three other differen cases and dials which look good to me.
      Including this one, in 2 or 3 subdial variants :

    Nice vid again. Ordered their bronze green dial 62 Mas last night cause of your earlier video. That's the one for me...smaller wrists and that, plus favourite design of all of these. Got a green Steeldive Tuna on the way thanks to you too but expect to have to flip it due to size. Tried to like the San Martin and Proxima divers but couldn't as much, and their branding/logos aren't as nice as the shark (anything with HimQ is an instant turn-off). New 44mm bronze samurai Proxima is v v nice though, too big for me but would make a good review. I think you said you were gonna review their red earth Tuna so we can at least see the dial colour that way. Would like a copper bronze watch when the right model comes out, pricier but supposedly more corrosion resistant. Thanks for the linseed oil tip, I'll use it on the 62's aluminium bronze.

      @TheWatcherReviews  Před 4 lety +1

      All nice watches that you mentioned. The 62mas is quite long though, hitting 50mm L2L but I suppose its how you like the feel and how they wear. I don't mind diameter as long as L2L is 50 and below.
      I rate the Proxima watches but they are a bit exp and loads of variants.
      Thanks for the comms and support 👍🏼

      @@TheWatcherReviews Cheers good reminder, I might just get away with 50mm L2L. Rubber waffle strap make it a bit slimmer than metal too. I couldn't resist one of the Proxima Samurais: www.aliexpress.com/item/4001227121155.html?spm=2114.12010612.8148356.23.75ff2583xZzCMv. They have another one with crown at 3 o'clock. They told me despite listing the one I got is 42/44mm, 3 o'clock crown is 44/47mm. Dial colour said to be identical, wasn't clear to me from photos. For any other buyers, particularly Aussie like me, price on their main site (proximawatches.com) was cheaper and no 10% GST added by Ali like they do for Australia. I'm guessing like San Martin these guys wouldn't reduce prices much during the sales so figured it was worth it to get that lovely piece, nice unusual reddish colour they're doing on a few models.

    CuSn8 is the tin copper formula. C954 is the most common aluminum copper alloy. If they are stating it's CuSn8 it shouldn't be as bright and will petina better

    • @TheWatcherReviews

    Enjoy the channel. Question. Does the oxidisation mess with screw down crown & rotating bezel? I notice Tudor do them & I wouldn't fancy a 3 grand lump of corroded metal after 6 months! (Or more likely the £170 homage version ;)

    • @TheWatcherReviews
      @TheWatcherReviews  Před 4 lety +1

      I've seen a post where the patina stopped the bezel working on a heimdallr, but it was easily fixed by soaking in lemon juice. Im assuming that the screw down crown could also be affected
