Tracy does fine work! That being said, notice a man's courtesy and consideration of others, particularly service staff and those who are not stationed above him. This is also an important safety indicator. Those who do not show proper regard to others are not to be trusted to show proper regard to you! He is on time, or calls if he is unavoidably detained. He helps with your coat, chair, etc., opens doors, opens and closes car doors. He walks on the street side of the sidewalk. He focuses on you, not, "girl watching,". I've seen videos for men, by men and they are well done. Obviously, gentlemen are not previous in their presumption of touching you, not, "grabby," or forward.

A first date kissed me lightly on the cheek once, when he said goodbye at my front door.
Have to say it made a big impression on me. No awkward hug or a too-soon-kiss-on-the-lips. I thought it was just perfect. To me it conveyed his appreciation but also that he respected my boundaries.

It is sad but the gender gap is still very much alive:
In most cases men still earn up to 20% more money than women, even in the same position. So as the more affluent one, he should feel an obligation to pay.

Also, my 17 yr old son has a girl in mind who he wants to ask out but was waiting to get a job so he could pay-he got the job a month ago and is going to ask her out. (He’s planning out the right kind of date right now) we suggested an activity and a meal such as bowling, mini golf or the rock climbing wall so they could have a fun and memorable time:) He is already a gentleman, at home & in public so girls should know they still exist:)

As a man who has been around the block a few times, I agree with everything you’ve said.
There r two things I’d like to add that come more out of respect.
    1. Show up early. Leave enough time to change a tire if need be. It’s says a lot about a person who is late.
    2. If u finish your meal first, do not let the server or bus person remove your plate and do not order coffee. Believe me if u r a man, women will love this because u r being thoughtful not to rush them or worse yet they won’t feel comfortable finishing their meal.
Thanks for letting me know I’ve been doing something right.

Absolutely agree with all of this. My husband and I met once before our first date and we took it slow. He was SUCH a gentleman. He set up a whole romantic day before kissing me the first time (one month after dating.) it was special and very rare in this culture, as far as physical activity goes. I actually get more compliments and positive responses rather than negative, from people when I tell this story.

Even if a "Classy Men" does not reach many of the fellas... I believe its important for women to know what to look for and expect from a gentleman who is husband/father material. I find in my practice many do not and marry then are dissatisfied early on or years into a marriage. Ball is both courts... if you want to marry a classy lady this is what you look for and if you want a classy gentleman this is what you look for. Great video and I applied all and then some 13 years ago and we are married 10 years.

So many of the guys I have met that are my age/similar to me in age (early 20s) lack basic skills that I think a gentleman should have. It would be great if you could help them out. It may not reach a lot of men, as you mentioned, but it could greatly help the few that it does. Thanks Tracy!

And I think phones in restaurants should be illegal. I'm a waitress, and it really makes me sad when I see a family or a couple dining and they're all on their phones. Appreciate this video, a gentle reminder on the importance of making proper and classy first impressions - definitely monitor the amount of alcohol you drink and _no_ intimacy. I was married for 15 years and have been single for the last 9 years. I’ve dated here and there, but it is a very, very challenging dating market, to put it nicely. The last date I went on was in the summer of 2017 - the “gentleman” flirted openly with the female server. Needless to say, that was our last date haha. I enjoy many of your videos, thank you and have a blessed day!

Tracy, to help even more, please do another additional classy ladies video. This time in relation to the femenine's vibe women give off. Men's love come from within the vibe women give off; not the actions we take and so we have it within us...being genuinly classy. Thanks. Much love

Thank you for the advise. I totally agree with your tips. I think you should make a video for the men, but the young men (like your tweens and teenagers). My nephew is starting to date, and he notices that girls want to be kissed and touched. I always tell him to keep his hands to himself and let them know that it's too fast. He's a perfect gentleman, but I don't want him to think all girls are like that. If you can make a video as if you are talking to your kids what to do in situations like that, and how to know if she's worth the second date?

Yes. I have a nephew and his friends are joking and pressuring him to "hook up". His high standards and faith are what he listens too. I think he's scared to date because women are so brutal now.

Loved this! I definitely think men could benefit from something similar, Tracy, especially from a woman’s point of view. I’ve been on first dates where men have put WAY too much out there and although I think I handled it like a classy lady should, it was uncomfortable and I was mentally crossing him off my second date list! Terrific topic to kick off a new year, too.

SPOT ON Tracy! Trying to date at 60 has it challenges. Unfortunately, mature men 60+ are so wounded by their past and frustrated with the dating scene that its hard to find a quality man that appreciates a woman of grace and maturity. Although I have put myself out there but rarely come across a true gentleman to date, I am proud to say that when I do and only after several conversations, I have never acted like an ill mannered desperate sleazy unkempt woman either but feel there are plenty of single women at my age that need to view this video and heed your advice. TYFS your wisdom and inspirational messages always xo

Thank you Tracy... just wanted point out an important point missed in your video. Be aware of the nite of the week he plans for your dates. It is subtle but it says a lot. For instance, a man that asks you out only on a Monday nite is indicative of either a married man or a man with a gf or a fiancé. If possible Always try to schedule your dates on a Friday nite or a Saturday nite. These are prime date nites and If he’s not available for a weekend date then you have your answer. Don’t be his Monday nite girl! I just wanted point this out considering the amount of married men who are dating online these days.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Susan. It sounds as if you have made and assumption based off past experience. I am sorry that things have not worked in your favor. It's important to recognize that 'some' will form their own opinion and not limit themselves based off of another person's bad experience. The world is filled with 2 types of people and I want the viewers to have both options presented to them. That being said, I would not have mentioned a limited belief, such as the one indicated. That goes completely against what I coach on. I hope that makes sense and perhaps can help guide you to not be limited in your thinking. Opportunities get missed all the time due to ones limited beliefs. I wish you success in the future.

Sometimes it seems that if a girl decides not to drink or engage in physical activity on the first date ...she is, automatically placed in the " boring" category...sadly..
Well I like standards and class so I rather stick to my values then try to
Please someone else.but I hear stories from my male friends that validate .my beliefs and also the message you are sharing on this video...🔥🖒😙... which is extremely encouraging ... men do pay a lot of attention to this things ...

I absolutely 100% agree with not showing much skin, some girls think it is a sign of 'sexy-confidence' , but I am old-school, I think it can really make the wrong impression..it can make them look either trashy or super desperate for attention. Less is more!! Love your videos as always.

I am very intrigued by this topic of class. I have found that these videos are FANTASTIC, hardly any women really talks about it. It is hidden is debutante classes and only an elite group of people get access to such fantastic information.
One thing I struggle with a lot (mostly because it is hard to discuss this without sounding vain)... but here we go ...when a follower of your work starts to achieve a certain level of success with your tips and advice, it is fair to say that you will get noticed.. and maybe not by people you want to notice you. How do classy women/people address unwanted advances, how do you correct a conversation suggesting a relationship you aren't interested in. I work in the automotive industry and I refuse to be unlady like - as many women have become just like the men where ever I work. I have noticed that in my life, being charming and refined has become a double edge sword scenario with unwanted advances. Do you have any advice on this?
Thank you for all your advice!!

Would you do a video about meeting the parents?

    • @elizabethgrosvenor153
      @elizabethgrosvenor153 Před 5 lety

Yes, this would be great! If I may add one tip that I have discovered for myself, I think it's disrespectful to the person you're dating to accept an offer to view the photograph album if it's made by anyone other than that person themselves. But at the same time his mother (it's usually the mother!) is also keen to tell her stories, and I wouldn't want to snub her either. So I would perhaps say something like, "oh wow, I am really looking forward to seeing this, but I'd rather wait until [[boyfriend]] is ready to show me, so in the meantime, why don't you and I go into the kitchen and you can tell me all about his favourite recipes?" I see that as a second door into his past, and she still gets to tell all of her stories ("this is what he liked to eat after sports, and that reminds me, there was this one time at practice..."), and she might just chat, but she might start making his favourite cookies. It's doubtful she'll give you her grandmother's secret recipe on the first go, but you're starting to set up a pattern that you and her will be in the kitchen, talking about food, and history, so it's unlikely that your conversations will grow stilted. Sometimes you learn more about a person by doing something with them than you do just sitting down to talk, so you'll get to know her better, and learn more about the family, and you never know, down the line you just may be trusted with the honour of the family secret recipe that will make your partner happy.
Ms Hensel, what is your opinion of this, please and thank you.
