- Take a look at eight minutes of rock-'n'-roll gameplay from BPM: Bullets Per Minute, the fast-action rhythm-based first-person shooter coming to PC on September 15 and consoles in 2021.
#ign #gaming - Hry
Now imagine if in the future they make an update letting the players use custom music and color palettes and share their "levels" with the community. That would just become one of the greatest 2020 game
You should check out crypt of the necrodancer :D Seems very viable.
Custom music imagine doom music with this
you mean osu fps?
@@wolontong I mean I guess ? if you consider any rythm game with custom tracks to be like osu ?
I can already imagine megalovania
That first boss ending allowing the player to shoot the final notes whenever they feel like it?
*Sexy*
all of the 7 bosses let u do that ;3
This game seems really cool, just chill on the red, damn.
Someone oughta make a blue/green mod for steam
Trying to look too edgy game
@@TrickyJebus Edgy is not the right word to be using here
Yeah only downside is that filter
I see this reaction has many likes and I can tell you that in the trailer there are also used other colour pallets.
Btw I really like this style tho.
6:36
never seen this satisfying reload ever in my life
instantly fell in love the moment the gunfire matched the beat
Imagine them somehow pulling off multiplayer.. tack tack tack dukudukdukdukkadugga daka BOOM BOOM BOOM kytaytkyablat!
😍
yeah super excited c:
@@Boxxcutter that would be the most metal concert ever
Same after I watched the Skillup video on it.
Bullets Per Minute: Shoot.
Player: Why? There's no enemy here.
Bullets Per Minute: Just shoot.
THE RHYTHM COMMANDS YOU TO.
[Achievement Unlocked: *Slave to the Rhythm]*
@@danielawesome36 nae nae before you get a whoppin
@Ante Krist just like your grandpa
4:24 was pretty hype as a finisher for bosses
He killed severog!
The shopkeeper is just a giant bird. I love this game.
@Michael Smith
Boooooooooooooo.
@@IkeOkerekeNews hes not know though.
And the weapon shop is just a Giants metal dog
Huggin is my baby boy
Guitar solo on the rifle , thats cool 🤘🏼 2:02
Can’t wait to play this on my virtual boy!
Top comment
Wait, you need to deliberately match the rhythm of music?
You have my attention.
I think it auto-matches with the rhythm of the music. Because the player was just playing in his own way and the beats were just adapting
Rugved Khandekar Ah okay. Curious to see how it feels either way
@@rugvedk109 Yeah I couldn't actually tell if he was missing the notes and spamming fire or actually hitting the beats. Seemed like the multiplier only went down if they got hit.
@@nicklez01 it's obvious from the crosshair that it has some gameplay significance
Yeah, you need to hit on the beat to hit that score counter, and I believe your shots will be more deadly. I would hate it if I would control the beat. I need that drive that I need to learn and overcome as a natural
Everyone's talking about the red or the sick music, but noone is talking about how cute Huginn is.
They even do a lil dance!
is it just me or do the gunshots make a nice beat no matter how often you shoot
wait its rhythm based im a dumbass
thats exactly the point lol
Yes.
This would have been a great "playing clueless" joke lmao
I was gonna write the same. How did they manage that???
This song is stuck in my head now.
I will now proceed to watch this video over and over.
I really hope they release the soundtracks soon.
I’m doing my best! 😂
@@SamHoughton Wait, are you making the songs for it??
Man, these songs are cool af!!!
Jasminder me and my buddy Joe are, yeah. We’re having a great time! Glad you like what you’ve heard so far. There is lots more! 😊
Ryan Gifford Awesome! Glad you’re enjoying it ☺️ The OST will have 11 or 12 tracks on I think, comes out the same day the game hits steam! 🙌
@@SamHoughton Yea same here. I have been trying to find the music for this game, I guess now I know when it will be there :D
Sometimes you play a game and it’s just clicking and you can’t help but smile cause you’re just having genuine fun. I got that same feeling just from watching this gameplay. Can’t wait for this to come out
Exactly how I felt!!
The amount of reviewers who will complain about difficulty because they just mash dodge and shoot will be huge.
i'm glad that this reviewer actually did things to the rhythm of the music, instead of rolling their face across the keyboard and calling it a day.
wHy CaN't I dOdGe!!!!!???
@@gunzalesd8460 this isnt the reviewer this is one of the devs. IGN is incompetent that much is certain.
I think at the start of the game everybody will struggle with the mechanics and look like an IGN reviewer. The art and mastery of the game will be to find the flow of the music and execute every single movement to some kind of musical element.
I heard some reviewers got a bit easier version where the timing windows on the beats are bigger. But dont quote me on it, mightve just been a rumor.
This is like all the counter strike gun music videos I watched on new grounds as a kid made into a game, yes please.
I remember those haha
I really like how the monster's sounds/voices also match the beat.
where mercy goes to vent her frustrations after being nerfed to death in over watch
1:32 dat moment with Guardian.
Underrated moment
there will be a point where listening to the ost alone would feel...empty.
that you're missing the sounds of gunfire or skills or jumps etc.
Actually really excited for this game. Nice take on the rhythm game genre that I didn't really think would work until now. My hopes is that the amount of levels are plentiful and diverse (Not just being in a bright red castle for the whole game).
if you go back to the original trailer, i'm pretty sure that you can see at least one different area than the overwhelming red in this gameplay bit
yeah, the first level is red, but there are other levels with other colours
The music is this weird mix of 10's indiegame sound, epic metal and "Clutch" style country hard rock. And it somehow still works really well. What original presentation, too!
As the devs say, The Binding of the Doomcrodancer
We have Serath, we have Khaimera, and we have Sevarog LOL. I miss Paragon :(
I miss playing as Lt. Belica
And dont forget Iggy and Scorch’s chicken Skin
Gideon all day, boys.
My boy Sevarog. How I miss thee.
There are a lot more Paragon hero assets used than just those three.
I really appreciate how the music changes with the environment, namely how, when you enter the room to visit the shop keeper birdy and then leave, the track continues, but the instruments change to match the cuteness
The most underrated game of 2020.
Is Hades probably
I’m very interested in this game
probably the only action FPS game that you can play while head-banging properly to the beat.
This game is so cool!
I love the red style of some levels and the music.
6:35... ufff
For those who’ve not heard of this game before it’s a rhythm FPS. You have to shoot/reload/dodge etc. on the beat otherwise nothing happens
Are there more games like this?
GrimeyFresh not yet, but there are some more in development - Gun Jam and metal something or other? Can’t remember the name!
Crypt of the necrodancer is not an FPS but is still a great rythym based game
Mariano Palmero yes, it’s amazing! I was just pointing out Rhythm FPS though :)
@@SamHoughton that Metal : Hellsinger game that's coming next year
i love the way the they matched the gunfire with the tempo of the beat haha so cool
Tony Da Great that’s the whole point, it’s a rhythm FPS. You have to shoot to beat or else you don’t shoot at all
@@socksleeve THATS SOOOO FRIKIN COOL :D !!!!!
So this and Metal: Hellsinger have the exact same idea?? is so weird.
But love to check both.
yeah, not really similar but they do have the same concept, but i think i'll end up liking BPM more, a "rock opera" seems to fit better than metal, but who knows, maybe i'm wrong
@@gunzalesd8460 agreed
@@gunzalesd8460 yeah, I think the music that's being showcased here will appeal to much broader audience than the metal I've heard in Hellsinger. The combat and movement also seems to be matching the music much better in this game.
gorgeous muzik
The perfect game to chill while you're trippin I tell ya
Exactly
I love the vibe! Keeping an eye on this xD
The music is a JAM!
FPS rhythm based game... i love it! Crypt of the necrodancer was bonkers and i hope this is gonna be even better
I need this game so bad.
I'm in love with the concept.
3:41 that sync
Game looks sweet but that red filter makes me gag. Hoping for an option to turn that off.
Weak.
Well there is that GeForce game filter thing
I actually dig it.
@zorkenvevo a saturation option?....I don't get it. So the dev deliberately makes the game look horrendous with this over-exposed, low-bit red, and then give you the option to turn it down?! Which OF COURSE most people will use?...Then just don't make it such an eyesore in the first place!
I mean, you have the chance to make the game look stunning, but you choose this??!! I don't understand
@@TooToo246 tf u mean horrendous? It's a room lit by nothing but torches, of course it's gonna look orange.
One of those few games that hasn’t even come out and I’m just like
TAKE MY MONEY ALREADY 🤩
That's an amazing idea, congrats on the geniuses that came up with it.
Its like that one warehouse shootout in Baby Driver was made into an entire game.
I love the background song, the guitar is sublime 🎸😎🎸
This game seems really great! People have mentioned the red filter, which I personally don't mind it is what it is, but what I'm currently focused on are those final boss strikes! It's cool getting those last few hits in before they explode, but I think there needs to be a bit more VISUAL build-up. Like, cracks of light start leaking out of them with each final shot before the big BOOOOOM!
I feel like that would telegraph a bit better than only the sorta physical reactions and such.
U can regulate the saturation/red filter in the video settings
This game looks like so much fun and if they made rounds longer that would be golden
5:46 That little Tap make my day.. thanks
Definitely hope to see this on consoles.
Wow, looks just up my alley! Will be following this. Oh, and totally digging the red colour, don't change it!
I find it nice listening him shoot to the beat of the music, like dang bro, I never knew he was that talented to do that every single time
yeah nice joke
This is Awesome!
More games should be like this!
10% gameplay, and 90% cool music
That’s even better
Its the other way around
As huge fan of Doom, this music-thing seems so much more fun to play than 2016 and eternal together
I love the little pat with the revolver
Wow it goes with the music !
I love the personality of this game. It's strangely adorable.
When the player had 25% left hp that heart BEAT! Makes me wish he/she stays that low
Rhythm, you have it or you don't - that's a fallacy
I'm willing to bet that this game is a great tool for people who think they don't have rhythm
Clint Eastwood reference? :flushed:
I'm in them, every spiraling tree, every child of peace
Reminds me of all the old montages where the gunshots are matched to the beat
Scorch, Sevarog, Narbash and Serath. Nice to see ya'll found work after paragon
Great so all the gunshots have a particular sound to fit with the music
that is one of the coolest ways to end a boss fight
That soundtrack at 45 secs dammm🔥🔥🔥
Nice gameplay with cool music synch work with gun sound. Sadly my brain not fast enough with fps games anymore.
i'm ready for this amazing game
(4:15) bro is that Sevarog as a boss fight? absolutely kino
I found this immensely satisfying
Paragon hero assets used in BPM (that I've found so far):
Goll (default Valkyrie) - Serath
Draugr - Sevarog
Ice Witch - Aurora (Glacial Empress skin)
Mage - Gideon (Mephisto skin)
Skeleton Mage - Gideon (Undertow skin)
Blade - Khaimera
Jotunn Guard - Steel
Vett - Narbash
Surt - Grux (Magma Scarab skin)
Mistcalf - Riktor
Gullveig - Morigesh (Dark Heart skin)
Alvis - Rampage (Obsidian skin)
Who else just comes back to watch and listen to this sic music. Can't wait
6:30-6:48 The best sync in this video, by far. My ears are rejoicing.
Also, 3:40.
This game is sexy.
Love that sounds track.
such a wonderfully epic idea and execution. damn.
Instant smile on my face. This triggers my musicall CDO in a happy way.
The follow uo to rhythm heaven. Rhythm hell
Just got this from the Nov 2021 Humble Bundle, looks great!
this game looks awesome.
This might be the coolest game ive ever seen
Check out Ralph's video on Skill up.
At first i was like nah, but then, I'm like YAS
ooooooo man the music is sooo gud
Is this an action music game cuz that character's bullet shooting gets so well synchronised with the music.
That boss fight though 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Imagine Doom like this but with Mick Gordon’s tracks. I think it’s gonna be epic
this is such a cool concept
The music is absolutely *GLORIOUS!*
I'm just happy they got someone that knows how to play
Oh my! This is like fps necrodancer! I immediately started to smile once I realized what they were going for.
This seems pretty fun. Reminds me of that 2d platformer where you were guitar guy. Forgot the name
Guitaroo man
As a gamer and drummer this is heaven
Can't wait for the offbeat mod.
Finally a game where I can play to the beat
guitar hero: ‘am i a joke to you?’
@@2seater_mx5 every single rhythm game: "am I a joke to you?"
alternative title: how to make montage with music without editing it
Game legit looks fun, gonna have to get it.
No game has ever made me look forward to reloading a revolver, until this one
Wow this game looks incredible
I thought I would never see another game that reminded me of brutal legend
I'm in love actually
My boy sevarog and serath are here. This game looks pretty cool
Rythm + Fps = Perfection
A FIRST PERSON RHYTHM SHOOTER...... This game's ost came up in my recommendations so it got my attention but now it has my fullest interest
