What does an apartment complex for a population of 500,000 in China's Guizhou province look like?

- There is an apartment complex in China, with 500,000 people living in it. It used to be the largest slum in China. Later, many apartments were built here through renovation. It is located in the city center and has convenient transportation. Due to the concentrated population, the price of goods is very low. Low, it looks depressing at first glance, so how do the people who live here feel? Let me take you to see it with the lens!

Feels like living in a shopping mall. Certainly has some merits and demerits to it. I like how it can encapsulate a big population into a modern village like this. Would like more green spaces though. I can think with some more thought, this type of building can work in dense areas.

Second, I cry over the 10-11 story apartment building that I live in and that my city is full of.
But this, I would never want to live in a place like this, it's about a month until you get depressed and never want to leave the apartment because this is your environment. Everything is gray and baj, no privacy, no individuality it just make me sad to think someone lives in a place like this.

Are the spaces in these skyscraper residential buildings only for sale or do people rent these and how much to they (usually) cost?

It would have been nice if you filmed those 1st-3rd floor shops inside the buildings.
😄, yes, not enough shots of the interior. Only found out when I edited. Thanks for your advice
@@CN_Walking And is there a building code what floor 3 and above can be? or did you see that there is a business creep upwards?
@@tonysofla While the community is basically mixed-used, It seems to depend on the building as to how it's divided. From what I can tell there are basically two classes: pure commercial and a podium-typology-mixed-residential. The former is commercial all the way up; the podium typology is where a few levels of the bottom, the podium, purely serve commercial use, while levels above the podium serve purely commercial. But no building is purely residential down to the ground.
From the looks of it, the transformation from commercial to residential once built (unless as a hotel) seems to be forbidden, however, commercial seems to be able to creep up beyond the podium into higher originally residential units.
Nice ❤
