      you are another western bot who knows so little about what goes on in china. the high ruses are empty and all for show. the apartments, in general, are rat and insect infested units asking 1500 dollars and up in shanghai. the ghost towns are enormous. the metro system is often good but often overcrowded. the train systems were stolen from japanese technology but they are good for simple transport. no amenities and no real luxury. the country thinks that this infrastructure helps with their gdp. their debt is now 268 percent of their gdp. twice the relative debt of the usa which is ridiculously high. the miracle was all a paper game. the hospitals have poorly trained medical staff who ask for gifts. the number of hospitals is very low because china cares little about the average person. the average salary in china is still about 800 dollars per month. you know very little about the real china. people like you should close your mouths before parroting such trash.

    Chinese high speed railways started in 2004 with colloboration of foreign companies like siemens germany bombardier canada kawasaki japan and alstom france. Later china started developing their own trainsets based on the experience gained during this colloboration. Need to appreciate their effort to develop their own technology. They are also trying to make their own aviation jet engines..

    16:13 These branches go to the yard shown in the clip before this timestamp instead of to Hangzhou, the real line to Hangzhou starts eastward of Nanjing South station and then turns south.
    22:34 the further double tracked line does go to Lianyungang, but it was first constructed as the Xuzhou-Yancheng line and the Lianyungang-Xuzhou line splits away at the next station south of the filmed location. The closest single tracked line goes from Xuzhou East station into the yard on the south, and the further higher one goes to the old Longhai railway and heads westwards to Xuzhou Station. That line was used for running EMUs on the Zhengzhou-Xuzhou segment continuing westwards to Xi'an, because thr Zhengzhou-Xuzhou line was finished relatively late in 2016.

    12:42 Podstakannik is Russian
    pod- - prefix, meaning under
    stakan - root, meaning a cup without handle
    -n - binding suffix. Many consonants in a base doubles in case of using suffixes. Including N, S, T and many other.
    -ik - suffix, meaning an associated property. (in this case in thing with handle to hold a cup without handle).

    I remember China Rail's ticket change policy was that one free change per ticket / full refund so long the original train has not departed. There is a fee for any subsequent change. Once train for a ticket has departed, the ticket loses its value completely: no change / no refund. Shanghai -- Beijing line runs more frequent train services than public transit services in most western cities. That makes it easier to switch. However the shortest travel time trains are the most sought after and the first to sell out. I took a 4 hr 20 min train once and it only made 2 stops along 1,300 km journey.

    • @Kalston558
      @Kalston558 Před 6 měsíci +2

      Not quite true, only refund 8 days or more before the train departure can have free full refund, 8 days to 48 hours before with 5% fee, 48 to 24 before with 10% fee and within 24 hours a 20% fee. Also, even after the train departed, a not changed ticket (change including different train, different destination and start station, different seat class etc.) can change to later trains within the same calendar day (must change to a other direct train from the same start to the same destination).

    You arrived at the wrong train station. Shanghai Hongqiao Station and Shanghai Station are obviously two stations. Also, your train will be called Zhanzhanle by railway fans in China.It means that it stops at almost every station and is a joyful train.Railways, like aviation, are rigorous. A city has different airports and train stations, and they need to be clearly distinguished. However, Chinese railways are generally kinder. You can return to the station for free after taking a ride, and they are also very friendly when changing your ticket.

      There should be two types of trains. The one in the video is the CR400 series. I guess the trains used in Indonesia are improved models of China’s CRH380. The numbers behind represent the design speed of the train .But the result is the same, the maximum speed in used is 350 km per hour both in china and Indonesia.

    I wonder if 350 km/h is the sweet spot where electricity use and wind resistance is best suited for high speed rail. Otherwise, you'd think that regular rail could just crank up the speed to 450, but they never do.
