Not a complaint just an observation, I am also in a van but mine is around 10k, I'm of the opinion and it is just an opinion that if your spending 40k you may as well save 20k more and get 3 bed Bungelow in North Scotland 😂

Think you should get a professional driver to give you some tips about safely reversing. 😁
If you are running a cable for your diesel heater and 12v water heater and its a long run you may want to go bigger than 3mm. Some online calculators for voltage drop and cable length you can use...
Let’s face it mate … I’ve seen some of his other wiring and it’s an accident waiting to happen I’m afraid 🤷🏻♂️
You might want to add some protection to the cables where they thread through the bodywork they will wear over time with vibrations etc and once covered up almost impossible to get to and may cause fire hazard👍🏻
You could do with having grommets or conduit for your cables going through metal as a precaution, we have seen chaffing quit a bit due to cheap Chinese cabling with soft sheathing.

However ,the cables you've routed !! Specially through section of metal panel ... you may want to protect the sheath .... as when passing through metal ... whether it feels sharp or not , a grommet is usually placed , to protect your wite ...
Bear in mind you're in a moving vehicle , so all the vibrations!!
Just be cautious, otherwise it may result in fires , or loss of power to devices, electrocution.... aye make sure all wires have adequate protection etc !! Save you headaches
love the way your explaining things as you go what would be nice is when the van is finished to have a total breakdown of cost keep up the good work and il keep watching the series

Hope you have better luck with the wireless Camera than I did with an earlier version , mine conked out in less than a year .

It's simple, he hasn't.
If you had £40k sat in an account, you wouldn't bother doing a "budget build" then another "high end build". You'd just either do the "high end" from the start or buy yourself an already top spec motorhome.
If you don’t need to be able to use the back doors you could build a cabinet there which you could even make a part of it a wardrobe so you can hang up things like clothes and coats.

If nobody has already suggested it, you could at a later date have the power to the camera screen to the reverse light switch which, I think is on the gearbox so the camera screen powers on when you put it into reverse. 👍🏼
I think that's why he opted for this wireless version so he doesn't have to bother splicing in to the reverse cable. Just presses a button and it turns on the screen and connects to the camera.
Auto Vox wireless camera I had exactly the same camera as you’ve got there. It lasted about 18 months I think and it was continually kept unpairing from the screen I had to keep resetting it all the time don’t get me wrong it looks really nice but it has issues
How did you find the snappy leisure batteries you used in the first conversion you did on this van , are they any good ?

It's where he trades in this one he's ripped apart, gone back to his employer and asked for his job back. Then decided to go and buy a motorhome on finance.

I work for VW commercial, they don't wait until they get enough orders before they start to manufacture a particular panel, that's simply not true. All Crafter panels are manufactured on what is known as a series run.
