Finally after being down for some time with the supercharger broken. It’s been rebuilt and back on the road. Now I’ve been challenged by another CZcamsr “Bo Builds” & his Chevy Silverado that he is also currently supercharging. Tune into the next video where we take both these trucks to see who’s is faster.

Sweet truck! My Dad had a ‘93 in red before I was born. And that’s a ridiculously large box for such a small part, I can’t stand Amazon’s packaging, seems like such a waste!

Your trucks very cool like steering wheel I have 1993 Lightning Black with Manual 5 speed 4 barrel carb 351W side tank been removed and has sun roof now getting engine rebuilt .
Glad to see my Lightning starts like yours. I keep trying, (in my head) to figure out why it is hard to start. Have yet to actually put my hands on it to figure it out. Just bought it in June.

Sir I have a question I got a 93 lightning. I can’t place it in park after I drive it but after a few hours I can place it in park. I replaced the tube in the steering wheel twice. I even took it to ford and did the same thing. I don’t know if you ran into that problem? Could it be something in the linkage?
That’s strange sounds like something is getting warm & expanding which could be a linkage issue or trans fluid.
How are you tuning it for the boost? What have you done to give it more fuel?
Basically just added a inline pump walbro 250Iph pump mated to a fmu which controls the amount of fuel that needs to be added via boost. Pump is activated via boost pressure switch, I’m using a Hobbs switch.
Made me miss my first gen lightning.
Sold it last year.
Definitely won’t be selling mine. It’s going to be handed down to my son one day.

I have also a 95 . Would cut out at 110. Put a burned chip, now can do 130. Takes a bit to reach , but I can imagine w a supercharger and nos just like ur setup … a lot faster
