'Dutchies like to watch things about Dutchies' hahahah genius.
Dutchies like to watch non-Dutchies watch things about Dutchies XD
true
😂Zo waar. So true. 😁
zeker weten haha... en ik woon in de USA
Dat staat vast toch🤣🤣
You got that right 😂
That's unironically not a parody... that's actual Dutch life...
yeah, the only parody bit was the amount of hagelslag😅
@@frankdehobbit8989 could be me though
@@frankdehobbit8989 What parody??
i was just about to say that it wasn't really a parody.
The coffee thing is real. When the doctor told my dad he could only drink three cups of coffee a day after he got pancreatitis, his immediate reply was "then what am I supposed to drink after 9 am?"
Ik ben net hersteld van een alvleesklierontsteking, heb nog niks over een koffie restrictie gehoord.... fuck mijn leven....
Actually, it is quite realistic. A bit over the top. You have more free time than this film shows, but on the whole, not a bad picture.
Yep
Legend says many dutchies are still waiting for the parody to start...
Strangely enough there are many parts in the Netherlands where it's absolutely not done to ask after your income. I would never ever ask someone about his salary, nor would I answer such a question myself.
don't know how it is in your friend group but in mijn and with most groups i do know every one know where they work and what they earn, makes it a lot easier to plan for when you want to do stuff as a group
I think it all depends on where you live in the Netherlands, where i live we don`t ask what people earn or how much they paid for their stuff, and we also do not congratulate everyone in the room on someone`s birthday. (cause it`s not their birthday)
We would never ask about that either. No one would tell you what they earn talk around it maybe. Like, I have a good salery. It pays the bills, but I have to save for vacation. Something like that. Actual numbers not a chance. If they bought a house they would sometimes let you know what they paid, but you will never ask.
True, you don't talk about your income. No matter what kind of income it is.
I agree, salary is something you normally don’t discuse with people.
5:08 Even my doormat says "Did you call first?" instead of "Welcome" hehe 🇳🇱
Just 8 sandwiches for lunch at work? I would starve. I make 12 sandwiches each day for the 3 breaks I have at work... And yeah I'm Dutch also
We never ask about prices etc, when its about a privit thing like your Salary or so.
I think its mostly dutch viewers cause you are enthusiast and genuine in reactions and we dont see us from your( usa) perspective we all grow up as its all normal 😂 its refreshing to see the other side
I agree. It's the way you do it and the fact we think it's all complete normal what we do🤣🤣🤣
I don’t know wether to cry, or to laugh at this one. It’s painfully familiar to be honest.
I’ve never been that good at congratulating everyone one by one, I just say ‘congratulations all’ while everyone is still paying attention to who is coming in the room.
come early and they all come to you
I am missing the supermarket run, grab a bag of mixed veggies, some mince and macaroni, rush home and have it on the table in 11 minutes.
(One minute to get the water boiling, nine minutes boiling and wokking time, and one minute to put it on the table.)
And of course the 'werkoverleg', the daily work meeting with a lot of complaints to the boss, who writes it down, but throws it in the paper bin right away.
Yeah, we love this mirror view you offer us
🙈 The coffee and hagelslag part is very true 😂
why is this weird ??? its normal to me.... anyhow.... grts from a dutch cheesehead, living in Germany....
She forgot the butter on the bread and the cheese and liverwurst at the dutch people sitting in a circle party, haha. Maybe she's vegan. I think in general dutch lunch with bread will have cheese on it for most men.
I know a lot of dutch people who don't like butter
Yes I was a vegan back then ;)
This is quite accurate 😂😂
Oh and another thing, us Dutchies also like your videos because of you brother, because we like you. 😊🌷
If Im working from home, first thing I do in the morning is make a pot of coffee for myself, and if I have to commute to the office, first thing there is a double espresso. Its just not possible to wake up properly without it. Speaking of which, its almost 8PM and I should get a nice cuppa.
Brother, us Dutchies love watching stuff about our country because we're so small(country, not the people ironically ;), and are pretty proud of any influence we have on the world, and also just our unique culture and mindset. 😊
And our modesty....so.....Anywhoooooo..... 😁😂
Guilty being a dutchie 😂 I just love your video’s so more like a fan groupie 😂
Scary how accurate a parody can be 😂
My brother, sister and I even make an appointment weeks in advance to meet up, lol
3 weeks for an appointment is quite mild. I have to plan my birthday 2-3 months in advance, invite everyone, and then still most people cancel because they have other stuff to do. Which is fine by me, I like small family and friends gatherings more than having 30 people over.
Prepare lunch for the whole day means, make a sandwich for 10 or 11AM when you get a bit peckish and then some more for lunch at 12-1PM. And maybe another sandwich for 3PM. Dont want to get hungry at work. And eating a big lunch all at once makes you feel too full and you cant work either.
I thought this was the case everywhere, apparently only with us in the Netherlands
that was surpisingly accurate
Fun video
haha, especially the agenda for a date or appointment
Haha, this is hilarious!😀
Going to a party during the week? Not in this house🤷🏼♀️ You have a weekend for that🤔
hahah he's still upset about the carrot
Wauw it would be great to be able to start at 9 'o clock! I start at 7 so I prepare my lunch the night before so I can sleep in as late as possible😅😂
eat your lunch during the day.... I am a little bit guilty.... OK I admit I make some bread in the morning and eat bits all through the day, this vid is accurate for my life. And yes COFFEE. First things first.
She is really funny how she tells😂
Yep me too, also a Dutchie 🤣. I only drink coffee, I dont like tea at all, I never drink it. I tried but cant seem to find a liking to it. Im a true coffee addict.
This is very realistic 😂
Only thing missing is the dinner of boiled potatoes, vegetables, and one piece of meat, right before going to the birthday, because there's not that much food at most Dutch birthdays
True story (for the most of us dutchies) I try not to follow this path but the small talk about weather sucks me back in haha
The Dutch actually are 5th in coffee consumption per capita, only surpassed by the Scandinavian countries. To give you some indication of how much that is, about twice as much as people in the US.
This is so accurate. Except we don't talk about our salary. That is something we have to keep to ourselves for some reason. It was fun watching the video and your reaction to it.
I wish i was home from work at that time and do some socials.
it is always fun to watch yourself from the outside.
Yep .
This is very confrontational - it is very, extremely, highly Dutch 😳😁🫣
It’s not weird in our country !
Fun fact is. Most Dutch people are up between 6:30 & 7:00 and go to bed between 21:00 & 22:00 ( during the week ) . A birthday on a weekday is almost not done. Unless it can be done on a Wednesday afternoon . ( it is the one day that people hardly don't plan anything ) . And the gift card thing is because most Dutch people are scared to really buy a gift , the reason for that is that they don't know your taste in clothing or decoration and flowers ( are mostly lame to give ) . The lunch fact is true but 2 or 3 slices of bread . I was surprised that she didn't use cheese. Because almost every Dutchy loves cheese. And people outside of the Netherlands thinks that we only eat cheese. 🙄 but this was funny to see .
Why you have so much dutchies here? Because we love you and your channel!
I feel called out.... and I don't even drink coffee or tea (maybe 1 or 2 cups a week)
Telling my income, salary are you crazy no one thus that.
And the price of the house😂 my sister bought a new house, not telling how much 😂 i went to Funda to look up the price 😂
I'm flabbergasted 😂
I bring more food to work, and have slightly less birthday parties then every other night.
But other then that..pretty bang on 😅
If you think that was much coffee you need to see the average amount a teacher at our middle school drinks on a day🤣 they will literly leave in the middle of a class just to get another cup of coffee😂😂😂
When I was still in Highschool, a hundred years ago, we watched a video in Biology Class.
It followed a bus driver through his entire workday and what he ate and drank.
I did notice he mentioned 'drink coffee' rather a lot but then I lost count.
At the end of the video, they put all the food and drinks on a table.
The man drank 19 cups of coffee every day.
This is great and really how it goes like
coffee,yes gezelig
I had a friend that got a new job. OK, what..?? I have more than 500 people underneath me. Sooo! What is the job?
Im am now mowing the gras on a cemetary !!!!
70% 😂 the Dutchy”s dontjust like towatch things About the dutchies we like to Watch your enjoyfull and positieve reactions bro bless big up, A Dutch worldchild ✌️🤌🏼🤌🏼🫶🏼
Haha love the coffee🙂 have 2 different Coffee machines in my house 😏🧷☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕
The coffee and the lunch are realistic. I'm doing it the same way.....
Haha yeah half the country is addicted to coffee, the other half to tea...
like the dutch content
Well the breakfast/ workingday is accurate but the rest? I don't talk like that (thank god) and going to a birthdayparty starts at 20.00 till after midnight ish. I defenedly have cooler friends because we have music, booze and mingle a lot and just have fun or getting drunk🤣 also i do NOT give a giftcard but a gift that they need or really want.
This video is probably teaching material for learning Dutch. That is the reason that she speaks so slow and overdoes the articulation.
@@okkietrooy6841 Goed geraden! ;-)
Lol that’s our life 🤣🤣
yes, if you visit someone who's kid won the championship, everybody present there will get congratulated. I know.... weird.
So true :D
Painfully realistic 🙈
As a real dutchie.
I love youre take on how it is to be a dutchie hahaha.
Keep it up 😁😅🤣✌
jup thats how it is haha🤣🤣
You should stream then we can can give instant feedback(echt handig(really handy))
@6:00 well... no not sports... but you need to see it in perspective....obviously cultures where 500 people attend a wedding will no congratulate all, but our partys usually are divided in 2 sorts; private family and general, the first is where you do the "congratulations with" the latter not so much
My brother every day six sandwiches with peanut butter.
Thats was sadly acurrate..... ouch. Made me laugh tough 👍
This is me 😂😂
When possible I would always buy food at work, I hate eating sandwiches that I made at home.
Congratulating everybody at a birthday? Hell, I'm an autist, I already feel awkward enough and fortunately that happens less and less. Younger people usually just wave at the crowd and say: "Yeah congrats too, you all huh!" or something like that.
She forgot to wear wooden shoes and smoke a joint, otherwise a great parody.
I feel so empty by waching this yes Dutch life is like this 😢
Oops, i accentally closed the video at 1:01
About the coffee: MOST CERTAINLY (but NOT Senseo; that's garbage). About the rest: not so much
Wake at 7? I leave at 6 - 6:30 like alle the people who have to travel several hours to get to their workplace
Not coffe or tea for me I like limonade way more 2 liters a day sometimes
Coffee we drink much
its funny how the money thing is a thing even at the job. they always tell you that you start with a slightly higher salary then most at the company but shouldn't tell the others working there.. yhh 99% of the time you earn either less or the same X)
Hahahaha verry True hahahaha
Left the country because of to many peopple like that 😋 live in france now so i could at least keep my coffee habit without it being weird
the talk about what someone earns is not that correct, I NEVER met anyone that talked openly about that. the vallue of the house yes...
I guess it depends on age and where you live. We definitely do talk about salary with friends and family.
How do other people make lunch?
a day without coffee is a day not living for me haha i think i have 8 cups of coffee a day i work in a petshop and i think i hear 90 procent of the people say something about the weather evertime you say the same thing back 9:30 coffee break is a little bit first lunch time for us haha 12.30 big lunch time and 15:30 snack time haha really formiliar do you want to meet? ehm yes but don't know when i work 6 days a week sunday is my day of so ehm yeah haha once a year holiday for 2 weeks is more then enough for me so mostly i meet up with people after work for .... Coffee haha i have to say i don't ask people about what they got paid bur the rest whas just great and really Dutch hahahahaha
Everyone is indeed congratulated here.
I must say that the lunch box has gotten a bit better over the years in my case anyway.
And npc might live like that, so I'm not that convinced of this traditional lifestyle. but you can indeed replying right back in honesty, so that everyone immediately knows what they think, and especially if you live in North Holland. but if you live in the christian part it gets a lot like 99% hypocritical. that difference is very big after having moved 28 times in my life.
ye youknow... i just think i try to take in as much of my nation as i can while its still around...may sound melodramatic but a lot gets lost in modernity... but at least "what influence can a little nation like yours have" .... ahhh , what colour are carrots... *grins*
So sad that this is Tru 😅 but it is!
Is it really that weird that we drink so much coffee??
mjeh ... tea.. but not really.... some drink tea, but no tea culture... but top 5 worlds coffee drinkers for sure
Typical Dutch! 100% as it is...
Dutch people don't talk about their income/price of their house 😉
That’s right, most people don’t talk about that. What they do like to talk about is how they got something very cheap. 😅
Depends on your bubble.. a lot of dutchies do talk about money. And definitely about the cost of their new home!
Nr. 100
its a parody, haha..
When clichés become cliché......
Nope time and activities vary verry much like farmers have difrent timetables than the office and not every one drinks coffee and eats overdosed portion " hagelslag" on a sandwitch 😂🤣 this is verrymutch her life not mine but like her is definitly 10000s more 😆
Dutchies hha
Not all Dutchies are eating this unhealthy fortunately....
