E60 BMW Flooded And Clogged ECU Compartment Wet Footwells FIX

My passenger footwell was getting wet, this is what I found.

Was the design of this altered with LCI models (post 2007). I have an LCI 530i and looks different to this when I checked for any moisture…

mmm that i could not answer. mines diesel and yours petrol i presume so i'd gather it will be different.
