wow man you're lucky those came out so easily. A lot of guys are pulling those out with a slide hammer
Trick is, squirt some wd40 down and wiggle the injector side to side and it should loosen.
@@bavarianmotorwerks3353 ill have to try that next time, sometimes on the diesels they stick to the injector cups which sucks
How long take u do this mate ?
To do the rebuild, well this was my first time ever rebuilding an engine, lots of research, took absolutely everything out until it was a bare block, labelled all the bolts up in seperate envelopes, cleaned absolutely everything all the parts until they were spotless. just left it over winter so a good 6 months, making sure everything was perfect. working well as you can see in the latest video.
good job sir
Thank You Sir.
Ffs 🤦…. Your way is much easier…Smashed it bro, this will be my new way going forward 👌
Where buy this from mate
it was 2nd hand bought from a range rover l322 engine.
Still working fine mate ?
@@Quick2004 Yeh no problems.

You can also remove the whole key and the car still runs, when i say whole key even the transponder What you should do is start the car, then switch off remove the key and then press start the car again, then the car starts without the key, then open your door and then lock the car
Is this just rear muffler delete what year is your e60
2007, so there is no backbox just a straight pipe.
❤❤
Genius. Thanks bro
How much did the map cost
Did u go for a downpipe mate or did you have your dpf gutted
Dpf gutted.
Where did you buy the muffler delete from
just a straight pipe welded in with the backbox removed, it was like this when i purchased the car.
Any links to the egr delete kit you used
Where did u get that 3,5 mm vacuum lines? I just find red ones or 3mm/4mm ones
This man is so ducking slow that my blood is boiling. Unwatchable
Slowest man on earth
remapped?
Yes dpf off, egr off, flaps off, bigger intercooler, hybrid gt2260 turbo, remapped.
ive had 3 m57 powered cars now i just cant live without one 😂
They do have something about them.
Why cover your Vin?
Get yer tadger out
My man, I've got an even better tip for you. I tested it myself on my E92 330d and e81: You close your door and start your engine, then stop the engine again. You remove the key normally, and within a certain amount of time you will be able to start your car again without any key. You will be able to do it as long as the driver door is kept shut. Test it out, it should work on e60 too. Makes locking the running car from the outside even easier.
that is cool, but it has a very big problem and it is that you dont want 2 cold starts in a row. Thats why this option is much more practical
What an undertaking. Good job.
Good job ❤
Was the design of this altered with LCI models (post 2007). I have an LCI 530i and looks different to this when I checked for any moisture…
mmm that i could not answer. mines diesel and yours petrol i presume so i'd gather it will be different.
Could you do this without removing oil pan?
Simple answer, No.
Thnx for the tip. Also having this issue. Even after replacing front radius rods/wishbones and stabilizer bushings.
Welcome, its worth a shot.
thats crazy mine dont have that... 2005 525i followed line from front to tank and nada.
Diesel ? if petrol maybe a different layout.
Hi, sorry for the confusion but how can you confirm the egr one is wrong on the diagram? Why would the diagram say the first outlet is for egr and the second is for engine? Hope you can help! Thanks
on the valve it has two nibs one for vac one for out , vac to engine, out to egr, ive confirmed this on different e60s theres also an article on the internet stating the diagram is wrong.
You can't compare old worn seals against the new one, because the old once shrink over time.
no they were not old, they were from a cheap kit, hence why i did a comparison between good quality oem ones and cheap ebay ones.

Can you tell me part number of this filter? I have a MANN filter part number WK532 for my 04 545i 4.4 V8 this filter looks different than mine. Thanks, cheers.

Hi. I'm about to do this job myself, just curious, why did you removed the fuel pump ? Doesn't seem to be in the way. I've watched all the videos, and do you have any other tips that you haven't mentioned ? Thank you, good job!
Decided to strip it totally and give everything a clean at one stage it was just the bare block, degunked every oil and water way, got rid of any gunky oil, a fresh clean base, runs sweet.
mind the top and bottom shell being different
The guy is absolutely right about it all!! I have done it exactly the same way , and i think its the best possible way to get this job done ! Cheers
nice job!
I’m glad I could get it sorted for you!

Where did you insert the pipe that you blew into? I have a feeling i may have a boost leak along with a suspected rod knock. When engine is switched on and idling i can hear a slight hissing from the engine bay but cannot locate where the sound is coming from due the the lound engine sound. Also engine sounds like a rod knock as the knock sound moves along with revvs too.
Into the other side of the intercooler.
hi. great video but please tell, i've changed egr and now sometimes it has vacuum and sometimes it doesn't. i believe it is solenoid? can it be changed without taking inlet off.? it's x3 2007 3.0d160kw. thanks
no not that one, it sits the other side of the manifold near the back of the engine, manifold must come off.
@@bavarianmotorwerks3353 thanks for reply
thankss, looks cool
I’m thinking about buying an E60 525d and rebuilding the engine as clean as possible to really revive it into the best daily driver possible, this series will be extremely useful I feel
Brilliant video dude. What were your symptoms? Did replacing that fix it? I was watching this video as a guide to remove and replace both pressure converters and the electrical valve on a pre lci 535d as I thought the electric valve was below the inlet, however I've been told now that the electrical valve is next to/below the pressure converters near the top left of the engine. Can you advise at all? It's an 04 535d pre lci. Any response would be great.
Yes I think on the 525 as mine they are under the inlet 1 is accessible as it sits in the corner of the manifold, the other however is right on the cylinder head so manifold has to come off, on yours as you say top left of the engine this video may help same engine i believe czcams.com/video/V-bAZeXMPy0/video.html
@@bavarianmotorwerks3353 cheers for the link, I gave that a watch. What were your symptoms And what is the part you replaced? Thanks
Bonjour 525D 177 2006 Moteur M57 Qu'elle taille les bouchons Clapets svp
i changed seals on vacuum pump, changed egr valve, now i have to change turbo valve and still to worry about swirl flaps. i think i should just delete all
swirl flaps definitely change don't want them falling in and blowing the engine.
Hi. What was the length of hose you used in tota?l thanks a lot
Please can you advise how much of the blue 3.5mm hose is needed for the replacement?
That didnt resolve mine. Still has initialization error.
Are you changing the belts so you know they are new, or are they a different size?
