"CNN anchor Dana Bash began her show Wednesday with an ominous indictment of the pro-Palestinian protests that have gripped college campuses across the country and the rising anti-Semitism in the U.S.
“Welcome to Inside Politics. I’m Dana Bash. We start with destruction, violence and hate on college campuses across the country. This was the scene just a short while ago at the University of Wisconsin, Madison,” Bash began as she showed images of various protest sites, adding:
Police clashing with protesters. 12 people were arrested. Hours earlier, protests rocked the University of Arizona, where campus police used chemical irritant munitions to remove protesters. Around the same time, at UCLA pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian groups were attacking each other, hurling all kinds of objects: a wood pallet, fireworks, parking cones, even a scooter. And before that, the NYPD was able to clear Columbia University after protesters barricaded themselves inside a campus building. 300 people were arrested at Columbia and City College of New York. But it is unclear how many were actually students. New York City Mayor Eric Adams warned this morning that professional outside agitators are getting involved."

Exactly this. Plenty of people feel unsafe around minorities, but that fear is fundamentally illogical. Everyone has the right to feel how they do, but we all have a duty to be introspective and delegate acts of respect, grace, and compassion to individuals on fair, objective measures. The one exception to the rule is treating people you're personally attached to (friends, family, etc) better than your objective standard, though that expectation not based on justice, but on the fact that most people would be miserable if they couldn't show and receive love for the sake of strong interpersonal relationships.
FYI Dana Bash referred Hind, a six years old Palestinian girl who was killed by the IDF when she was waiting for aid, as a woman. Ms Bash lost it long ago.

I've stopped watching CNN and blocked all their contents on CZcams. No more CNN, MSNBC, FOX, NYTIMES, Washingtonpost for me. Ever. I used to pay membership to those Mainstream media. This Gaza conflict opened my eyes.

As an American, I'm actually offended at the bashing ( no pun intended ) of Americans in service of another country. I'm also offended by ethnic cleansing and the idea of media doing their best to minimize and downplay.

If you've ever met a toddler you'll know how incredibly dramatic they can be especially when someone waves their finger and say "no, don't hit the baby." Even when their lives aren't in danger they seem to act is if it was, crying and sending their toys flying into the air. They don't care what gets destroyed or who their toy lands on. Hey Dana Bash, ya wanna know who “feels unsafe”? It’s Palestinians, Muslims, Christians, and Jewish People, alike.
I visited one of those camps, and from what I saw, you are correct. There were A LOT of Jewish people there. I heard one group of young Jewish women talking about how they went about observing the Jewish dietary laws. So they were not just Jews, they were observant Jews. It was actually a rare situation where Jews and Arabs, some of whom were Muslims in traditional Muslim garb, were working together. And yes, the list of rules did say "No Zionists." Which might have bothered me, if he had not already known about the bad behavior of right wing Zionists at the moment.
The people who worked hard to make sure people are sensitized to the issue of genocide now don't want anybody protesting against genocide.
Those kids just started a fight in that location. They left out the part where the jewish zionists were attacking the peaceful pro Palestine protesters.
Bash is acting like a mouthpiece of the Israeli government and eschews the Palestinian perspective as though Palestine is a "Land without a People". She should be forced to recuse herself on this issue. After all, she hosts a show called "Inside Politics".

My right-wing friend was ranting about protestors, he's voiced similar sentiments in the past. His opinion is always the same: If he doesn't support their position, just the mere fact that someone engaged in protest is enough to warrant violent actions against them. He wants and enjoys it when it happens. So much for constitutionally protected rights, guess they don't matter when it's a cause the right doesn't believe in.

@@jordyb57 Well let’s look at it, if the individual that I’m referring to agreed with what the protesters were protesting then he would have no problem going to one of the many other entrances that were available instead saying “I want to use this entrance”. But in his defense he probably didn’t know the news would try to make the fake story about his ppl not being allowed to enter the campus when truthfully the protest blocked everyone’s ability to enter. It’s dangerous when perception & truth are traveling in opposite directions 🤷🏽♂️

Most places on campuses aren’t even designed to hold all enrollees at one time. People block off public streets for parades & different events & no one bats an eye, they just follow the detour. Just admit that he’s acting a bit entitled & would be right there with them protesting with no complaint if they were protesting something that he favored.
