Received my Avata 2 with three batteries last Thursday and did my maiden flights on the weekend. Really pleased with it as so agile and nimble to fly with a solid connection. This footage is just stunning!
Would nice be to put the OSD data as well to see like the distance you wentm the battery % and stuff:)
beautiful shots
Amazing footage man! 🔥
Great video!!! Beautiful landscape!!!
Thank you very much!
Great informative video, Danny. Keep the great content coming!
Beautiful AZ! I'm a couple hours away from there. I love the avata 2.
Awesome footage thanks for sharing
Make a video settings video! Love your stuff man 🙌
Another great video with beautiful scenery & wonderful flying & yes please release a video about the best camera settings for this drone. Thank you!
Very nice video, loved the location and the return home. Amazing
Beautiful.
thanks for that Danny! subbed
You're making great content man! Keep it up. I subbed.
Sweet video. Your link to motion array was useful to me! Gonna sign up. Keep up the great content!
please do a video for best avata 2 settings. Very nice videos!
Danny, thanks so much for shooting and posting this incredible footage. You have seriously opened my eyes as to what the Avata 2 can do. A couple of days ago, I just bought the Mini 4 Pro and the Avata 2 with all the trimmings for both drones. It will be fun experimenting with both to figure out what my use cases will be for each of them. In fact I’m going to watch a video or two comparing them against each other.
I noticed that there seemed to be a street with houses very close to the mountains. If you parked there, you wouldn’t have needed to use so much of your battery power for the flight in towards, and back from the mountain…you would have a seriously longer amount of time to fly around them. I think that location is also at a higher elevation, so you would probably be able to fly above the mountains…another compelling reason to go back. I also saw a few caves which looked like they would be fun to stop at and look inside, through the entrances. Don’t forget to search for the mine entrance if you go back!
Speaking of which, I really would enjoy seeing you actually perform and post the longer video that I suggested above. The footage would be epic.
cool stuff ! i want this drone in the future!😍
Fantastic - thanks for sharing :) I would love to see a settings video and also how you stabilise your footage in reelsteady :) Thanks and safe flying :)
So epic brother, such a great way to show how freaking crazy this drone is. The fact it’s a cinewhoop is insanity 😅
Love Your videos
Thanks dude seriously! And all the GPS features make it was less sketch to send out that far lol
@@Mcgeee As mentioned above - resetting homepoint will give you 500m ALT limit from wherever you reset it - HOWEVER, your RTH will no longer work to bring the drone TO YOU - It will instead bring it to the point where you reset it - Sorry, that was probably obvious. Just keep your bearings.
Excellent flight, Danny. I'm subbing. Greetings from Montreal, Canada.
Thanks for the sub!
Magnificent views bro
That 04 is damn impressive picture quality wise
I’m super stoked on it 🤘🏽
@@Mcgeee hope the stand alone air unit comes fast enough.. also how did you experience flying in 30 fps..?
The footage I've seen from the Avata 2 is super amazing. The change from my Mini-2 to Mini-3 PRO was quite nice, but the Avata is really like your own stunt heli that you don't need to pay to rent... Amazing Consumer-level technology. Just wait for next year - lol
Awesome Video 🫡
Please make a vide for the Avata 2 settings that you mention. Thank you. Awesome footage :)
Very Cool!!
You might consider resetting your homepoint mid-flight. This is how I cheat the ALT limit on my DJI mini 3 PRO. It is also 500 m.
I’ve done this before too when flying at altitude. It works pretty well if you fly, change, then rock and roll.
just hack to fcc mode.. unlocking fcc mode doesnt void the warranty
Thanks a good idea I’ll definitely give that a try
but dont forget to fly responsibly
Wouldn't resetting home point put it in the same spot though?
Amazing
7:00 you just captured someone down there walking, great! Thanks for sharing.
Nice video. The frame skip problem can be solved easily by merging the two video files in Gyroflow before stabilizing. To do this, simply drag the two video files simultaneously into Gyroflow and it will ask you if you want to merge. Confirm and once it´s done, you can stabilize the footage without any issues. I also noticed the wobbling in some parts of the video. Can you comment on this? Thanks!!!
🧐 🗣Quality is so good!
Those colors and lines were great. I can't wait to test my Avata 2 on some mountain ridges.
Have fun!
Great video friend 👌👍
If you're doing a long range test, you should really display the metrics as seen through the googles. Just sayin'
VERY cool!!!!
I am definitely interested in settings. I found I needed to crank framerate a bit to prevent headaches in the goggles. Also is it always better to take it off the drone vs the goggles? I do like the overlay at atimes
Bad ass I flew that same spot a few months ago!
Could you do this again with the OSD google view?
The video quality is insane
Isn't that a Wilderness Area ??
Man I’m going to be there in 2 weeks. Lol. I need to find these spots to fly!
Awesome
Does that DJI 3 glasses only support for Avata 2 or we can connect it with fpv freestyle like run cam wasp. I am beginners so please help me to choose between goggle 2 or google 3. I want google 3 but not sure if it will work with run cam wasp or not. Thank you.
Awesome footage and skills, looking forward to take my avata 2 out soon. Btw. I read the other day that the convenient rotating of the drone to stop rotors is not that good for the motors, is that true? Guess many people just copy others doing it. 😂
that last line with the sunlight on the side of the rock formation is friggin epic dude, thx - PS did they remove the 500 meter limit?
When you were on your way to the mountains did you go close to the top speed or were you just cruising on a lower speed? It felt like it wasn't as fast as my avata, could have to do with the difference between CE and FCC, but I thought you were from America so therefore FCC?
Please do a video on best settings! That would be perfecto :)
Great fun to watch and very informative. I noticed at 4:00 there's this mild 'wobbling' effect on the mountains. What causes that, or is it a CZcams artifact? (Sorry, novice when it comes to video creation & drones).
I've spent so much time hiking the superstition mountains as they are near my house. Danny this was just amazing to watch with this new drone. The footage was breathtaking! I"m very impressed with this drone from others flying it. My question if you see this or anyone else is what you flew and how you flew does that take a ton of skill? What about the hand held controller could you fly some of those sequences?
Nice flight! I'm still flying v1. What's the best reason to upgrade? The camera?
Awesome place you can fly😊 thank you for sharing. Didn't know that the limit is only 500m. Do you think that would change?
Hermoso video, sería maravilloso que pudiera subir a 800 metros
What brand/model is the lanyard grey/orange lanyard you are wearing? @0:27
Is that SEASKY Lanyard Strap (from amazon) ? Do you think the wider straps are overkill?
Damn those colours and picture looks so nice! What frame rate? Any nd filter?
Nice video friend.
Thanks for sharing ! Does DJI Goggles 3 support screen recording (Goggles) ? It would be awesome if you can add screen recording (with flight distance, flight speed, altitude, gps signal, home point ... ) on your video for the range flight.
Cool video! Ive been flying FPV about 5 years. I am really enjoying the Avata 2 for things that are just too difficult with a traditional FPV drone! I'm in Florida so I'm getting the urge to fly over water more ! With a percentage rating, how would you rate your trust in the rth function if you loose the signal! I live in a heavily populated area so there isna ton of interference. My signal strength never seems to hold up like the videos like yours that are out in unpopulated areas. Do you see a big difference with that also?? Lastly when I fly with one or 2 other people, the signal strength struggles at times. We are all fighting for the bandwidth. Lol thanks Danny
Do you have a video on how to use Gyroflow?
some sick terraim to rip out on fpv kwad
Do you need a spotter to fly out that far and how does the spotter see the drone so far away
what is your choice for software for video editing?
Frame skip, thats a pretty serious flaw. you said you was on a pre release assume thats the firmware you talking about, has this frame skipping when file splitting been fixed ?
Would you know if you can dive like you do on this video with the motion controller? If so, I assume it’s not as easy.
You can’t really dive like that, BUT you can do footage that looks like you are diving like that using the head tracking mode. There is a Joshua Bardwell video about the avata2 where he explains it
Would you say the Avata 2 does better with keeping connections while going behind hills and such? I feel like the Avata one lost connection easily anytime I dipped behind any piece of earth haha
What camera do you use to film? Quality is nice!
Wow nice!
I can’t even get half a mile on mine on range
Probably a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway. How do you know when you're too close to obstacles? I have a mini 2 and a pro 2. No fpv experience, but always afraid of getting too close to obstacles, whether it's tree tops or mountain sides. I'm a novice flier, even though I've had both drones for a couple of years. I just don't fly enough, mainly due to being a long haul trucker and only home a few days a week. I have taken the mini with me a few times, but don't have time in my schedule to stop and fly. Anyway, thinking of getting the Avata 2 and trying to bring it on the road. Maybe try to fly on the days I shutdown early in more remote areas.
@mcgeee i can't find the link to Motion array
I have found that if I fly to the location in GPS mode it conserves battery probably due to the somewhat slower and more steady speed . Once I get there I flip into Acro.
where is the place.. its so beautiful
Dude please request geo location unlock and do this over the mountain shot just to see it shining in full brightness :)
If you grab it and flip it to shut it off, is that activating a safety, or is it made to do that?
Were your props bent or damaged on these flights? It seems to have a lot of jello. (1:00, 3:50 and 4:44)
Amazing!! though Im seeing a lot of jello
Hey Danny, my name is Chris and I live in Mesa. Nice job on this video! I'll definitely be watching your channel in the future.
I have a follow up to my other post Danny. I thought the FAA prohibits flight above 400 feet…unless you have the part 107 license. And even then you have to apply for a waiver. Perhaps you did, or there is other information I’m unaware of. Like I noted previously, I have just purchased the Mini 4 Pro and the Avata 2 and I want to understand how high I can fly them, and under what conditions so that I’m all lined up and in good shape as far as the FAA is concerned.
Wide mode looks so much better to my eyes will being using that mode for sure 4k 30 FPS 4:3 13:40 Dive looks sweet ! pretty much why I got this drone for that view
Hey, why does such a modern drone have jello in the image? I wanna buy it, but now I'm confused. 3:58
At 3.55 to 4.43 the rocks look like they are moving or as if you are looking at them through water... why???
Great vid, did you fly with fcc mode?
He’s in Arizona, so presumably yes
Is the Avata camera the DJI O3 system that comes on other FPV drones?
The avata 2 now has basically an O4
@mcgeee i can't find the link for Motion array
Why did you switch to manual mode and not GPS all the time ?
Not sure if it works but you can also land, maybe even do it by air, and update your home point at a higher altitude.
What are your thoughts about using the goggles with the mini 4 ? Is it worth the price ? Would you prefer the Avata2 over the Mini 4?
dont think many other cinewhoops would be able to do that ;)
Could you share your controller rates please?
On the first flight the mountains are all wobbly when you reach the height limit. It looks really dodgy, I suppose it might be RockSteady not being very good. Any thoughts?
Nice to see you using the joysticks with just your thumbs on top instead of pinching them. Must be a game controller thing.
What's the jello effect in the video @4:30 ?
Can you make a video about real time difference between motion controller and RC controller?
The motion controller is absolutely amazing as a very seasoned pilot I absolutely enjoy using it and find it very intuitive
@@Xplicit_fpv people give the motion controller a bunch of crap. As a 40+ year pilot and 3d heli pilot, I can fly sticks just fine. But I do really enjoy the motion controller for when I don't need acro. And in sport on the av2 the motion controller can do everything he just did with ease and more.
@@Amberdogproductions I sooo agree
@@Xplicit_fpv I did a quick video on my channel with the av2 using the motion controller. Many say it's hard to be precise with it. I disagree completely.
@Amberdogproductions I so agree with you! my main style of flying is Cinematic in the woods shooting gaps high up in trees and I had no issues doing that very thing with the motion controller with complete confidence! It's so underrated!!
Hi. I just got my avata 2. Do you think the MC3 and FPV RC3 has the same range output?
The controller range doesn’t matter much as it’s only talking to the glasses. Glasses are emitting signal to the drone
The stats for the avata 2 says its capable of almost 8 miles.. so thats not the case?
Is that 500m above ground (agl)or msl? Mean sea level? It must be agl right ?
It’s would be 500m above from we’re you launch it’s the same with other DJI drones
I was wondering the same thing. If it was above sea level I can think of plenty of places in inland Australia that it wouldn't be able to fly and not very far inland either.
Yeah, above the point where you arm the drone…
Awesome video ❤that height limit will be able to removed within 2 months 😊
At around 4:30 the static shot of the mountain looks wavy. Is that normal?
Danny, I really hope you this comment! I'd love to see how an artist like yourself implements the head tracking and motion controller to get new kinds of shots. I only fly fpv wings and kwads and I really need to see what this thing is capable of in the hands of a pro
So your range does it help that there’s really no obstacles trees, big buildings, etc?
Obviously, you definitely won’t be able to get any range if there are lots of obstacles (not really any range, but not like that for sure)
What are your rates ?
if you can land at a high spot then take off again then you can go higher
Whats up with the jello at 04:00 ?
Wind + stabilization
