Altitude hack would be nice as the law says max over ground not over startpoint
Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. I stayed within the rules technically
At least give us 1000 meters like the Air 3 or Mavic 3.
Yeah half a mile 1 kilometre, just over It's not far really, line off sight & all 🚁
This is true but then you have to worry about the other rule visual line of site
@@rubengarciajr7560 visual line of sight is technically unassisted sight. so using FPV googles and having no spotter is already breaking that rule .
COOL!!! Now your doing my kind of flying!!!! Good job!
Amazing! Remarkable!
Beautiful fly man...nice.
Great vid. Nice scenery.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That was sl beautiful. Love the snow capped mountain. I wanna buy this drone so bad but also want the mini 4 pro
Remember Kris when you are flying near Water or over the water It makes the signal weak
Whaaat. Legit?
Great video! Love the scenery.
Which brand ND filters are you using?
These are the DJI ND filters
@@KrisLuckPhoto thanks, Kris!
nice test!
do you have an ND on it?
I just want to give you a heads up ! Try not to get your goggled three overheated while you testing long range flight ? while you flying got overheated, your goggle 3 well lose HD and froze . Maybe you might recover your drone back by disconnect the controller for return home 😮😅
Great effort bro
Nice video man, I also ordered avata 2. Why doing horizon leveling though? It would look way better without it.
Thanks, and no I havent used horizon leveling though
@@KrisLuckPhoto Then it’s not clear when you turn your horizon is always leveled.
i guess avata 2 is enough for me.. tour , shooting and cinewhoop ...if i want to travel further or freestyle ..get a 5 inch ..
Hopefully it's better wen going behind a mountain etc or below a cliff compared to the avata 1!
I’m too scared to test it! I had RTH issues and my Avata 1 never climbed to RTH altitude and crashed into a mountain and fell to its death
How did you unlock or configure it to go more than 500 meters high?
Is there a way to configure it to not give automatic return when the drone's battery reaches 24% or return to home?
1640ft is the height limit on Dji drones. Unless there’s a hack like on the Dji Fpv
on manual mode the “automatic return to home” only showing info, not triggering rth
I don’t think ive seen my mavic 3 pro say it does 1000 meters. And im not sure, I havent touched any RTH settings
the scenery is amazing - alaska or new zealand...?
Alaska, however my first time at this spot - New Zealand was the first thing that came to my mind!
Honestly i tried the new goggles and thought they were uncomfortable and not very good for light leaks. Whats your experience?
Honestly at first, I didn’t like them. But now they’ve grown on me and I do like them
Hey Chris just an FYI I was having the same problems with my A2 I couldn't get any range 4,400 and I tried more than one time and it was over water with no obstructions. I also seen that file systems error code come up on my goggles a few times I became so frustrated I came home and I reloaded all the firmware using my PC instead of my phone because during the load up with my phone it was having glitches and errors so I never felt really good about that upload after I rebooted everything now everything seems to work 100% and I'm getting just over 12,000 ft in distance direct line of sight with very good radio and image reception the only thing keeps me from going further is the battery life.
DJI should change this to altitude above ground ... having them control this aspect of the flight is unreasonable.
And yet they still want to ban DJI haha, but yes i agree
Should probably take care of those errors first before you go test out the range. Any kind of error messages you must fix or your asking for a bad day flying. Anyway great videos man keep it up
FCC or CE Mode ?
I dont think the USA has that problem, it’s default settings
Hi it would have been better with telemetry 👍❤❤❤
the 500m altitude limit is keeping me from buying. i live near mountains
then get an fpv drone
so basically this is no good if you live in south america mountains?
Unfortunately
@0:10 Lorem Ipsum =D
Haha, I definitely put text there 😅😅😅 must have ctrl-z too many times
Why would you face your Goggles/Antennas sideways to the direction you're flying (mountain), isn't that less ideal for connectivity/performance? @1:36 (i see you tilted your head slightly to the right later on) =)
Btw. bit funny to title it extreme long range test only to fly around the place rather than demonstrating a straight distance flight while showing telemetry / connectivity info. ;)
It’s still a clear line of site, and i knew i planned on flying to that other spot as well. And i did switch back and forth between good camera and goggle view to show telemetry. There was no way anyone would be able to watch that shaky footage the whole time
@@KrisLuckPhoto yeah all cool, just in terms of better performance would make sense to look into the direction you're flying right? I know it's tempting and often probably happens with FPV pilots to look downward, not sure how much % performance one looses if any but would expect it's not ideal, i.e. looking/facing the opposite direction of flight. =)
Re goggle view you can always show it PIP in parallel, but yeah that's typically one would be interested in long range flights, not just see you did fly a certain distance. =) keep it up bro, great scenery I wish I had here around me in Ireland.
This is so stressful to watch in the goggles
Very stressful in the goggles for sure. And then when you get thrown into normal mode its like a shock to the system lol
By the way, goggle three is a piece of crap design.
It's better in my opinion, the battery is at the back, more comfortable in my opinion too.
Much better. No carving off my nose. More comfortable. Much more adjustment to get a very clear view. It even has more antennas to help with boosting signal on O4. And you don't have to keep taking them off to see around you with help from built-in cameras. What more could you want ?
No it’s not
Learn to fly straight aka use yaw/rudder
