INVERTER TECHNOLOGY
Panasonic's exclusive Inverter cooking technology offers a true power control for evenly cooked, tasty food. Great cooking performance In conventional microwaves, the microwave energy is either full on or off in cycles. This can result in cold spots and overcooked edges. Panasonic’s Inverter models provide continuous heating at modulated power. This means food is more evenly cooked, preserving texture and flavour, and preventing spill over and burnt edges.

I should totally make a video of this after ...wow, it's been 6 years!
Do you have the microwave 6 years later? any problems with it in the long run?
Yup, still using this since I posted the video. Still works great, still functioning.
@MeettheTings This thing is trash, doesn't heat evenly, and takes ages to heat compared to even a Kmart $80 microwave. Don't even get me started on how loud it is and that dumb "cooling" function that's both loud and annoying because if you're not right in front of it you'd think it was still heating
Great video, helpful :) Have been looking for a new microwave!
+Lily Zhen It's a really good one, so far we've loving it. It heats up food really well too. There is a cooling down period after you heat food up but you can just open it to cancel it (i think the cooling will help the microwave last longer)
We have a more advanced version with convection heating. The reason why there is a cool down period is to make sure that the VRMs and inverter components last longer just like induction cooktops since inverter microwaves don't have the old bulky transformers.
ohhh...that makes sense! That's a good tip, thanks for that!
I just bought this microwave,, can you tell me if I have to wait for it to stop cooling down to take out the food, or can I take it out as soon as it is finished?
By 'VRM's' do you mean the magnetron? I know Commercial Bonn Microwaves $700+ range have a direct duct cooled magnetron. That this panasonic even has this seemingly lesser advanced fan-cool feature is still impressive, IMO. Professional catering supply shops actually list this unit as an entry level (light use) commercial microwave giving it a 6 month commercial warranty. Panasonic also make a top level professional grade commercial machine too, which suggests you get a lot for your money here in terms of design and as many of them share some componets. For example they claim the door on this one can be opened 15 times a day for 3 years and virtually no return record for significant issues. Possibly the most robust-quality machine out there for the price. It will be interesting to see how long these last.
@@edamse Yes. From the Panasonic Instruction and Specs for this machine (Page 11) reads, quote,
'NOTE:
After using the oven, the fan may rotate to cool the electric components and “COOL” appears in the display window. If you cook using microwave, “COOL” will appear after micro cooking over 3 minutes. This is perfectly normal, and you can take out the food from the oven while the fan operates.'
i have the one with the turn table it works good i am use to cooking food at 2 mins this one you dont need it at 2 mins 50 or 60 2nds is more then enough in this microwave i have the 1200 watt version 1.2 cc i am very happy i had a sunbeam 700 watt and it hardly if ever worked right
Thanks for the review mate. How's the performance after these years? Looking into buying one.
Still kicking and going strong!
@@MeettheTings :D
@@kamaniIG Hi did you end up buying one ?
@@nicklion Hi I actually bought a different modal from Panasonic (23l inverter 1000W). Works great!
@@kamaniIG cool thank you
Did you remove the back plastic choker?
I don't remember! I mean, it's been working fine...oh no, now I should go check!
Whyd u scrap the ends for?
Cos they don't won't cook even when I go to cook them! (sorry, comment 2 years late lol)
I can't get mine working... reheating...
It starts two seconds...then it goes to cool ...??
You know why
What happens when you turn it on after 5 mins of cooling?
Can't get it working.just called Panasonic .
My brand new Microwave is not working, they say, its a manufacturer fault.
But thank you@@MeettheTings
You dont have to wait for it to cool yo 😂
haha yea we've since discovered that
@@MeettheTings Page 11 of your instruction manual for this model, reads....'NOTE: After using the oven, the fan may rotate to cool the electric components and “COOL” appears in the display window.
