Fishing with live bait is my favourite way to fish. When I am out by myself I usually have one rod with a live bait and another with a jig or some other type of lure, just gives me something to do whilst I am waiting for the live bait to be eaten.

When I kayak fish, the first thing I do is drop a crab trap, then let it soak while I fish. One other thought, maybe try shortening the anchor line, maybe try very short line.
I am kinda afraid of using an anchor because it might cause flipping of kayak

and drop crab traps!!!!

私の地域では、ソウダガツオの若魚をシンコと呼びます。シンコはブシュカンと呼ばれる柑橘類のしぼり汁と醤油を混ぜたタレに付けて食べるととても美味しいです。この食べ方こそ、シンコの真骨頂です。
これしか思いつかなかった・・・
